Hey look, it’s my new favorite Loki fantheory! Haha, this is perfect :)

Wow, these druids are really in character!
Hahaha. The cutest way to TPK :)
Total party wipe in my DnD game the other night. Damn op kittens.
Ooo I love this idea!
Although I could also see Ghoul really enjoying a kick wheel too, because there's just something so delightfully tactile about giving big leg-flopping kicks against a large metal disk to make your pottery spin... I always found it more satisfying than the electric wheels so maybe I'm just projecting, but I feel like Ghoul would also vibe with the sensation of using kick wheels.
Ooh, and also, if they couldn't make it out to the kiln sometimes, they could always try a pit firing! It would be a good excuse for a nice big bonfire with the crew, and then the pottery would have a cool, smokey look to it, even unglazed (I think?)--like this:
(Image source) [Image ID: a short stout clay pot with an almost watercolor-esque swirling and speckled pattern of rust, dark silver, smokey grey, and maroon splotches on its surface resulting from a pit firing. End ID]
Of course, the bonfire might risk drawing the attention of Dracs, but then again we know they do canonically have fires at night sometimes... Ooh I just decided my new headcanon for the campfire scene in Na Na Na is now that they were doing a pit firing! (Or you could always just pit fire during the day when it would be less obvious, but I’m just enjoying the thought of this.)
Anyways. Fun Ghoul does pottery. There’s a wheel in the diner, and they got it to operate off battery power, and they drag Kobra out on clay-finding missions, since he’s got such a skill for finding water. They make all their own tools for it, and stuff is mostly unglazed. There’s a working kiln at a studio in Zone Two, and every other month they load up the Am with one of the others and drive out to it.
They’ll make functional pieces whenever someone breaks a few too many plates by mistake, or clay shells for certain kinds of bombs, but mostly they make abstract, rarely-useful pieces, all warped and twisting, halfway between sculpture and dream. Sometimes they handbuild pieces on after throwing it on the wheel.
Rainbow kitty is so pretty <3
Is this kitty a savannah? They look like a savannah.
Also I’ve been restraining myself from reblogging cats for a while because I was trying to keep my blog more fandom-y, but I was just about to reblog a thing in which I contribute to a conversation involving dogs and I was like “wait, I still haven’t reblogged any cat things yet. I am a crazy cat lady. This is unacceptable.” So I decided to come back for this lovely rainbow kitty.
Is it weird that I feel like this would make a fun pet?
A postage stamp that licks you back.
So I just finished Stranger Things Season 3 and, of course, I have a great many thoughts and feelings and a great deal of angst but for now I just want to say...

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, 1.16 ‘There Goes The Neighborhood’
When Dracula was giving his big speech about all the battle triumphs of his family over the years and he mentioned "that great shame of my nation, the shame of Cassova," I lowkey read it as "Casanova" at first and I thought that Dracula was just throwing shade at his weird horny cousin who slept around a lot. I was like "oh I didn't know they were related" until I looked at the word closer, lol.
This post is what caused me to put this book on my Christmas list this year. I got it and I’m not super far in yet (I’m in Chapter 5, shortly after the bit with Borusa, actually) but it is entirely as fun as advertised so far! :)
Honestly I just get so excited whenever they go to Gallifrey, despite the Doctor and all intergalactic tour guides’ apparent consensus that it is a hopelessly dull place. But it’s a place replete with backstory and that’s why I love it. I have an academy-era fic I’ve been working on and I’m already thinking how I’m going to have to revise my portrayal of Borusa based on what I’ve learned in this book.
And, of course, it does have that distinctive Douglas Adams tone. My dad was surprised to learn that Adams had written for Doctor Who, actually, so that was a fun bit of knowledge to impart. Very fun book :)
Absolutely!
It also looks like something young laser-wielding rebels living in the desert on the run from a colorless corporate dystopia built on emotional inauthenticity might stumble upon while looking for somewhere to park their Trans Am and camp for the night...
Which further feeds my headcanon that these things are happening in the same desert, or perhaps that Danger Days takes place in the desert otherworld...

This is such a thorough photo analysis! Oswald and Ed are just so deeply fond of each other; it’s lovely.
And, though I’m a bit behind and won’t be watching the finale tomorrow or checking my dashboard until I have a chance to catch up, it still seems like a fortuitous night to reblog some Nygmobblepot things from my drafts folder...
Oswald looked so proud when he told Barbara that Ed figured out a way to get out.
Welcome, dear traveller, to our fantastical lande shrouded in swirling violet mists. Here we study how stories shape our lives, how words weave wonders before our eyes.
