Abbacchio is a touch surprised. All he does to indicate his surprise is an ever so slight widening of his eyes. After he processes your words, he'll give you a little snort.

Fugo is very flustered by what you tell him. You can practically hear the Windows shut down noise leave him. Still, even though he's very touched by your words. He'll insist on getting you something!

"E-even so! I-I can't just let your birthday pass by like this, c-come on. Let's go get something, y-you can pick out what you want." "Then I want you~" "YOU HAVE TO PICK SOMETHING PROPERLY!!"

Tears of happiness prick at Narancia's eyes as you tell him. He was a little relieved by what you said and genuinely touched by you telling him that he was already enough. Though he still feels a tiny bit bad about not getting you something for your birthday.

Narancia wails as he clings to you, "y-you promise?! I-I swear I'll make it up to you someday, _____!!!"

Giorno is really touched although it doesn't show a lot on his face. This has been the first time someone has ever showed how much they appreciate him so he's really stunned on what to do inwardly though he will still try to get you something.

"I'm glad you think so, _____. Truly, though I hope you still don't mind accepting these flowers. I'll be more diligent in preparing your gift for next year."

Mista's relieved that you aren't too mad about him forgetting to get you something for your birthday. He promises to make it up for you by treating you to his special homecooked meal instead. And knowing how well the Pistols eat, it's guaranteed to be a treat!

"Aw, you're just way too sweet to me, darlin'!" Mista chuckles tugging you into a little hug, "then, I'll make sure to stay happy and healthy all year round~!"

Trish is pretty flustered too and while she has a rather brash and rough initial response to you, her heart really did flutter when you said what you said. She's very touched and will do anything to make it up to you, even though you said it was okay. She has her pride too, after all!

"I-idiot! I - y-you shouldn't settle like this, come here. We're going shopping. My treat. D-don't look at me like that! It's your birthday so o-of course I can do something like this!"

pannacotta fugo + telling them a dumb joke just to see their smile

You watch as Fugo drops his chin into his hand, a scowl beginning to grow on his face. Across from him, Narancia is goofing off from his math lesson as Mista and Abbacchio egg him on with little comments and quips. Fugo rolls his eyes, and the furrow between his brows only seems to deepen at the display.

You can feel his bad mood start to radiate, and deciding to take matters into your own hands; you reach out to gently wrap your fingers around his wrist. He jumps slightly, tearing his eyes away from the others to look at you, his features softening when his gaze meets yours.

You smile. “Can I ask you a question?”

He sighs before saying, “Sure. Is something wrong?”

Shaking your head, you ask, “Why do plants hate math?”

One of Fugo’s eyebrows quirks up at the question, and he has to bite back a rebuttal about how stupid that question is, but it’s you, after all. He’d always humor you.

“I don’t know. Why do they?”

“Because it gives them square roots.”

The joke is awful, neither of you can deny that, but the pleased, almost proud look that crosses your face as you smile expectantly at him has Fugo letting out a huff, his eyes rolling good-naturedly as a grin of his own threatens to appear.

“That was terrible.”

There’s no annoyance in his words, you can tell by the way they’re punctuated with a chuckle and a growing smile. The sound makes you giddy.

“I thought it was pretty good, honestly.”

“Yeah, yeah,” he replies, a teasing lilt to his voice, “I think we have different definitions of the word good.”

And as you begin to debate Fugo on what exactly he was missing in your perfect delivery of the pun, you file dumb math jokes away as the key to seeing him smile (second only to you, of course).

thinking a lot about post canon fugo giorno and mista . i think there’s a lot of angst and sadness but i also want them to be happy :<

they just hang out but they’re also 3 dudes with a lot of mafia money which i think is funny and can only be chaotic and irresponsible. just spending money on things they don’t need because they can. and living in a big house which they also don’t need but they’re in the Mafia so why not. polnareff cant stop them he’s a turtle now

also the idea that they have people come to them for business and they’re full grown adults who’ve been doing Crime for a long time and then they show up and the head of the mafia and his two closest associates are now actual teenagers

like they are responsible and mature for their age and run things very well but also oh my god the very important client just said among us mista please stop laughing this is serious oh my god

I’m not joking at all and I don’t really see how this would be a laughing matter to you. 

Yes, you signed up for a trans kid. And while we are at it, you also signed up for a disabled kid. Autistic kid. Gay kid. A kid who doesn’’t look like you. A deaf kid. A kid who will have interests that don’t match up with yours at all. You signed up for a shy kid and a loud kid and a kid who wets the bed and a sick kid.  

That’s the beauty, the miracle of parenthood, don’t you agree? You decide to care for a little person you don’t even know yet. You decide to open your heart and home to them, you promise to nurture and love and protect a tiny human being. How can you promise that, if not unconditionally? 

You can’t pick and choose your kid. Maybe even more importantly, they can’t choose you. They depend on you to keep that promise - and not only if they live up to whatever expectations you had.
