I'm sitting down to continue writing the next chapter of "Tethered," and I am thinking about how interesting these cities are, and I really want to DM a D&D campaign in this setting. Just a cool, low magic steampunk era setting. I could homebrew some interesting ways shimmer could be integrated into the system as a potion that is both awesome and terrible for you. I know some homebrew campaigns have been made, maybe one day I'll check them out or just make my own. Gotta tackle my epic saga campaign first!
hi omg i just want to say this fic is so so cool omg
i dont know how you do it but it is one of the best fics ive read like ever so just yeah its amazing :))
Oh thank you so much! I’m assuming you’re talking about “Heart Made of Glass”? I’m so glad you love it!! ❤️💙
Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who has read Heart of Glass, My Mind of Stone, if you've left a comment, kudos, bookmark, or even followed me on here, left an ask, made that amazing fan art!! Thank you so much!
It's been exactly one month since I first posted it, not realizing where the story was going, and it's been an extremely fulfilling creative experience. The fact that it's miles above my most well received story, especially given that I haven't written in years, is the cherry on top.
As a treat, I'll announce here and maybe soon in the notes area of the fic, but Heart Made of Glass is getting a sequel! I already know the general plot and the opening scene.
There's still a good bit left of story for Heart Made of Glass, but we're definitely in the later half of it.
Thank you again. Now to get back to writing the next chapter :D
Here's a little treat for those who followed me because of my "Heart Made of Glass, My Mind of Stone" fic since I might not get this out for a few more days.
“You are right, Violet. You are not a pawn,” Cassandra stated with such an intensity it almost made Vi take a step back she was so intimidated by it. The councilor held out her hand and Vi, after only hesitating for a moment, took what she had been holding. “You are a knight.”
It was a gorgeous, solid emerald knight chess piece laced with copper colored marbling. It sat heavy in Vi’s hand and as she held it up to get a better look at it, the reflection of the fire danced across it, almost making it look alive.
“What does that mean? What is this?” Vi demanded angrily.
“Before you get your answers, and I promise you that you will, answer me this first: why do you think the knight is my favorite piece in the game?” she asked, her tone curious and expectant.
*Subject to change*
Warning for some spoilers for the fic, but holy shit these are amazing! Every single one is so accurate lolol
@caitlynkirammansrifle
Enjoy the chaos which is my mind after reading a fic I enjoy 😂
If you haven't yet, check it out!
I know I'm not the only one but by God your writing is incredible. Low lays the devil and Heart made of glass have been my favorite CaitVi fics of all time. Everything you've written has been pure magic! ❤💙
The fact that I only just got back into writing, after almost a decade, a few months ago makes this comment even more incredible to me. Thank you so much. The fact that any of you love it is insane, but to have it be anyone’s favorite? I’m on cloud nine. Thank you so much! ❤️💙

So I do have a lot of the next chapter written, there’s just once scene that’s given me trouble. I’ve been going over it my head at work so I think I’ll be able to get the next one out tomorrow before I leave for out of town. No promises, but I’ll my best
Powder answered. “You need to separate CT02 and 03. They should never be mixed in their pure forms. Dilution is key to decreasing destabilization. Chem is volatile, but once you break down the compounds to their weakest and spread the power out throughout the machine you use it in, to avoid too much heat build up, you should be fine.”
Powder handed Jayce back the newly edited paper and he read it as if it held the answers to the universe itself. “I need to test this for myself,” he stated. He looked at Vi, with an almost ecstatic excitement. “Vi! Oh, Caitlyn, when did you get here? Doesn’t matter. Vi, I need CT02 and 03. Do you know where to find that in Zaun?”
Vi looked at Powder with a raised eyebrow. Powder smirked. Vi groaned. “Don’t. Don’t say it.”
Powder cackled. “Viktor always has Chemtech compounds on hand, Vi. I’m sure he’d love to see you.”
“Great! Vi, I need you to go to this Viktor and get me CT02 and 03, ten pounds of each compound,” Jayce instructed. “I’ll want plenty to work with and with some left over for back up.”
Vi scoffed. “Ten pounds each? I can’t carry that much weight all the way back with my crutch. Can’t we send a courier?”
Jayce shook his head. “Sorry, Vi, but I can’t let anyone else knowing what I’m doing. Councilor’s orders.”
“I’ll help,” Caitlyn volunteered, her smile far too sweet for Vi’s liking.
I lurk when it comes to your fics, but just want to say that I very much enjoy them, and your pure excitement/enjoyment for writing them is really wholesome. I'm kicking my feet over here for you 💜
Not going to lie, I kinda hate what I’ve written for this next chapter. I might scrap a good portion of it, which is annoying cuz it’s over 3000 words long so far. Part of the problem is that it’s meant to set up the end game portion of the fic, so it just feels like I’m talking at the reader. Gotta figure out how to not do that and get what I want done because what I have is super boring 😅
