It’s a long journey but if you focus on the mini-milestones along the way you will find beauty in the struggle of doing simple things that prior to this injury were taken for granted. This will also mean that when you return you will have a new perspective. You will be so appreciative of being able to stand, walk, run that you will train harder than you ever have. You see the belief within you grow with each mini milestone and you will come back a better player for it.”

White people can’t have dreads, and that’s okay!

So a lot of people tell me they want dreads because it’s “cool” or “edgy” or it speaks to them or whatever. But y’all have great braided hairstyles of your own! Look:

But I want DREADS! Like the VIKINGS!!!

For one the Vikings didn’t have dreads/matts. To take from @bornabitch-allthedaysandnights past post: “Similarly Vikings all wore elaborate braids and were so obsessed with combs that they are one of the most common Viking era artifacts found, AND they were buried with their detail carved combs, which shows their significance. More importantly, Viking bog bodies prove that they used complex (think LOTR) style braiding.” But that’s okay because guess what!
