What an actor!!!
This Jimin is sweet. This Jimin is precious. This Jimin is adorable. I must protect this Jimin.
I was too stressed and mindlessly scribbled "I can't do this anymore!" in the back of my notebook.
And look, what my little 9 year old sister wrote back!!!
I'm not joking when I say she's one of the reasons why I still keep going on...đđЎ

I buttoned up my shirt slowly. I could see Yoongi putting on his clothes through the corner of my eyes while I picked up my pants from the floor. As I struggled to get into them, Yoongi waited patiently, not saying anything to break the awkward silence.
There was nothing left to be said. I was already someone else's. I knew it and so did he. Whatever happened tonight was all a stupid mistake. That's all.
But my heart said otherwise. It had recognized it's true owner and wanted to belong to him without terms and conditions. But being with Yoongi meant terms and conditions. A loads of it. And I wasn't ready to accept them yet.
Hence, this stupid mistake was the only way to quench the thirst of our burning souls.
I hurriedly picked up my bag from the table of the hotel room and took out my phone to call an uber to drive me back to my apartment. As one of my hands reached the doorknob, Yoongi grabbed me by the wrist of the other one.
I turned back slowly without lifting my gaze towards his face. He placed another hand on my waist and pulled me closer. I rested my head on his chest. Yoongi gently caressed my back while a tear rolled down my cheek.
Yoongi left a soft kiss on my forehead before heading back towards the bathroom. My heart felt heavy with the feeling of love and guilt.

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - More to come
9:24 a.m. 1st September, 2015
âJust a few more minutes left.â Yoongi sighs heavily, âyou could have easily saved the bother to come here, today.â
âWhat happened?â I ask, taking the empty seat beside him. âI thought you said that weâre winning today. Whatâs up with that long face?â
âIt seemed like that at the first half.â Yoongi nods towards the field, âas you can see, the tables took a 180 degree turn.â
Honestly, I donât understand a thing about basketball. It is better to just take Yoongiâs words as they are. I ask him the important question now, âhow much do you owe them?â
Yoongi intentionally avoids eye contact and keeps looking at the match without a reply. I notice that he is sweating like crazy. I understand now that it is not just about the game.
âDonât tell me you have to sell a kidney to pay them.â I jokingly say to which he doesnât budge. I grow agitated. âYoongi! Câmon, tell me what it is?â
He sighs and says, âItâs just worth my rent, thatâs all.â
âYour rent?â I ask, âlike for the month?â
Yoongi nods and stays silent. We both remain silent for the rest of the game. I wish I could offer to help him. It is most likely that he will not accept anything directly from me. I, on the other hand, am not in a place to help him either.
My phone vibrates in my pocket and I quickly take a look at Jiminâs message saying heâs going inside the exam hall right now. I write a small âgood luckâ reply and put my phone back inside the pocket.
Yoongi starts to stand up from his seat, âLetâs get out of here! Itâs not like anything can change in the last few minutes.â
I nod and follow him out of the stadium. He asks me if I want something to eat to which I shake my head.
âNoona!â Yoongi says, âStop worrying about me. Itâs not like Iâm going bankrupt or something. Itâs just some stupid amount of money, thatâs all.â
âSo,â I start hesitantly, âwho will pay the rent?â
âIâll manage that somehow, Noona. I always do.â
Yoongiâs the one among us whoâs the most desperate to make a lot of money. Thatâs why he goes into these betting games and all. I once heard from Jin that he had found Yoongi starving himself because he lost all his money on some games and Jin had helped him that one time even though Yoongi refused to be helped. I donât really approve of his ways but who am I to stop him? I did not raise him. I donât even understand his ways of thinking.
I still feel like I should advise him to stop this nonsense and try something else. Something permanent. He is a genius and I know he will be able to figure something out if he wants. But I also feel like today is not the time to lecture him on life. Not when heâs already so stressed about it.
I decide to head to my next destination. I am not going to leave Yoongi in this state. So, I ask him, âIf you donât have to be anywhere, will you come with me?â
âI can manage some time. Where will you take me, Noona?â
âWeâre going to meet Jimin.â
Jiminâs exam will be finished at around 11 a.m. So, Yoongi and I wait for him outside the hall where there seems to be a huge crowd of the guardians of the other students. I mentally pray that Jimin will be able to outsmart them on his test today.
âI never understand Jiminâs appeal for education.â Yoongi says.
âI think itâs the same one as yours.â I offer an explanation, âCome to think of it. At the end of the day you both want to win at life. By elevating your status. Either with education or with money.â
âYou know what, Noona?â
âWhat?â
âI hate it so much that youâre always right!â There is a faint line of smile on his face as he says the last sentence.
âYoongiâ I suddenly feel an urge to talk to him seriously. Yoongi barely talks about his real issues.
âNoona?â
âIâm asking this because Iâm really worried about you, okay?â
Yoongi frowns, âI think I know what youâre going to say. Iâm sorry for making you feel that way. I really am. Iâm sorry, Noona!â
âOh no, dear!â I quickly add, âYou donât have to apologize. I understand that youâre going through tough times.â
âNoona!â Yoongi looks at a distance as he speaks, âDo you remember maâs face? Like, not the one as we see in her pictures. The face of her when she was sick. That face she had before she could finally rest after years of pain she went through.â
I donât know why Yoongi is suddenly bringing this topic. Is he really missing ma all of a sudden or just trying to change the topic? Yoongi glances at me for a second and I can see his eyes glistening.
âIf only I had the money, I would have taken a bus from school to come to see you.â Yoongi sniffs, âhe wouldnât let me go no matter how much I begged him to. Said it was a âwaste of good money seeing some sick peopleâ. I donât think I can ever move on from the fact that I never saw ma and pa again after I left that house.â
âYoongi!â I can barely make myself audible.
Yoongi never talked about the times he spent with our uncle who took him in when ma fell sick. Yoongi was only four at that time and he was the only one who never came to visit us occasionally during the five years when ma and pa were still alive. When I used to ask pa about it, he would always say that Yoongi was too busy with his school. I only got to see him first at their funeral. Only after Yoongi left uncleâs place for good when he was finally eighteen, we started meeting almost regularly.
âIâm sorry, Noona, I turned up this way.â Yoongi looks at me, his eyes bloodshot, âI didnât really have an opportunity to be any better than this. Of course, I wonât use this as an excuse. Iâm all grown up now and Iâm trying to be more responsible. I swear, Noona, you will be proud of me like all the rest of our brothers one day. I will make that happen.â
âBut I am proud of you!â I say, âI am proud of how strong you are. I am proud that after all those shits you went through, you still grew up to be such a kind and sweet soul.â
âThank you, Noona! But you donât really have to cheer me up.â Yoongi shrugs his shoulders, âI know me.â
âAnd I know you too.â I slowly move towards him and pull him into a hug, âI see you, Yoongi. I see you!â I slowly pat him on his back as I can sense him fighting the urge to hug me back.

Punctuating Dialogue
â§
⸠âThis is a sentence.â
⸠âThis is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,â she said.
⸠âThis,â he said, âis a sentence split by a dialogue tag.â
⸠âThis is a sentence,â she said. âThis is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.â
⸠âThis is a sentence followed by an action.â He stood. âThey are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.â
⸠She said, âUse a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.â
⸠âUse a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,â he said.
âUnless there is a question mark?â she asked.
âOr an exclamation point!â he answered. âThe dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because itâs not truly the end of the sentence.â
⸠âPeriods and commas should be inside closing quotations.â
⸠âHey!â she shouted, âSometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.â
However, if itâs not dialogue exclamation points can also be âoutsideâ!
⸠âDoes this apply to question marks too?â he asked.
If itâs not dialogue, can question marks be âoutsideâ? (Yes, they can.)
⸠âThis applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically expressââ
âInterruptionâ â but there are situations dashes may be outside.
⸠âYouâll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses donât have a comma after them eitherâŚâ she said.
⸠âMy teacher said, âUse single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.ââ
⸠âUse paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,â he said.
âThe readers will know itâs someone else speaking.â
⸠âIf itâs the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
âThis shows itâs the same character continuing to speak.â

*******************************************************************************************
I was at the beach in the middle of the night all by myself. My parents were fighting again over something I couldnât figure out. So, I decided to take a break from my studies and came out to the nearby beach for fresh air.
Nobody from my family has any interest on reading or anything of the sort. I, on the other hand, is a bookworm. I feel a connection between me and books. However, the family I call my own is not actually my real family. I was delivered to my parentâs (who doesnât have their own kids) doorway one night with a letter saying to keep me well. They had done their best.
The environment was so fresh, it calmed my mind. I kept looking at the sea blankly. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me. I looked back quickly and found a man smiling at me.
The man had scars on his face and his smile didnât seem to be a friendly one. I suddenly remembered that I was alone at the beach with no one else. Fear got into me like a flash.
The man might have sensed it. âDonât worry, child.â said the man âIâm harmless.â
âWho are you?â I asked rather loudly.
The man smiled again. This time it felt comforting. âMy name is Remus, if thatâs what you meant.â said the man.
I kept quiet for I knew he would say more. The man took some steps towards me and said âI hoped you were fine with them.â
âWith who?â I asked, really confused.
âYour parents.â said Remus.
âI am fine with them.â
âReally?â the man raised his eyebrows âBut they are not your real parents, are they?â
âThat doesnât matter to me as long as they love me like I was one of their own.â I said, frowining âHow did you know that?â
The man completely ignored my question and asked another one instead âDonât you miss your real parents?â
âI donât remember them at all, sir.â
âDo you want to meet them someday?â the man said hopefully.
âNo, sir.â I said sternly.
The man sighed. âIâm glad that you are actually happy with your life. There are more complicated lives that people are living.â
âBut...â He cut me shortly and said âI better go now. Good-bye, Emma.â
I looked back at a shouting. âMy God, Emma. Youâre here. We were looking for you everywhere.â my mother came running to me, my father behind her.
I turned to look at the man, but he was gone.
Who was he? How did he know so much about me? Could it be that he was my guardian angel looking after me?
