Quick possibly crack theory, but these are some interesting close-up panels of Concerned Shinya. Do you think he’ll go against Kureto and Guren and help Yuu and Mika (and company if they still exist and didn’t just faze through the walls), or at least keep them from hurting him too much?

I wonder if Shinya’s about to play a prominent role in something soon.

Ta-dah! It’s finally done, the artwork that I’ve been working for a week is finally finished!

So basically…this art shows a lot of things.

Imagine if the Owari no Seraph characters lived a normal life. 

Mika sleeping on Yuu’s shoulder as they watch a class romantic drama movie. (Yuu is so emotional, though.) Then, the Hyakuya Orphanage taking a lot of pictures in Christmas. (Mikayuu is the highlight uwu) Mitsuba and her sister Aoi shopping for clothes. (Just look at Aoiii, huhu.)

Kimizuki and Yoichi watching their sisters—Tomoe and Mirai preparing to bake some cupcakes. (Tomoe holding an empty tray and Mirai smiling brightly aaaAH) The squad of Guren videochat, and then Kureto (with shades) somehow invading it and hacking it, and craziness ensues. (Shinya is so amused though.) 

And look! Lest being a chef! A CHEF. Isn’t that adorable?! (Urd’s a waiter and he’s appreciating it by the way.) Awww, can I just point out the Hiiragi Sisters interaction? Mahiru and Shinoa playing in the snow, because why not? (They’re both so adorable, am I right?) 

Narumi’s squad taking a walk together around the park at night. (Sounds like what they could do in another universe, hm? / / sobs) AHAHAHA Ky Luc’s pleasant face for tasting ramen for the first time— Lacus and Rene watching him with amused faces. (RAMEN IS GOOD, BLOOD WHO YOU?)

Chess and Horn being comfy with their sweaters. (Sweater Weather!! Especially if the time of the month is the coldest season.) Well, well, did someone say Ferid and Crowley as teachers? (Ferid will be the type of teacher who’ll sing a lot while Crowley brings those big books!) 

And finally, the siblings. Krul and Ashera graduating.

Waaaah, this makes me so emotional. / / wipes tears. Can they just live a normal life? For once? Ughhhh- KAGAMI PLS GIVE ME A HAPPY ENDING HUHU

On Writing Flawed Books

If you’re a writer and you’ve thrown yourself into learning the craft–following writing blogs, reading craft books, attending workshops–there’s this thing that is very likely to happen. 

Armed with newfound knowledge of what makes a piece of writing fantastic, you’ll realize that your writing.. isn’t. 

It may even start to feel like your writing is the worst writing that has ever existed. It may make you scared to put a single new word on the page in front of you. You’ll see exactly what you’ve been doing wrong, and you may very well not know what to do fix it. 

I’m here to let you know that it’s natural to feel that way when you’ve reached a point where your knowledge surpasses your ability. A secret for you? Your knowledge of craft–any craft–will always surpass your ability if you do what you should and continually study said craft. It’s a good thing. 

It’s okay for your writing to be flawed. 

You can write a book, know it has flaws, and still be proud of everything you’ve accomplished. 

Published books are flawed. Best selling, critically acclaimed books are flawed. Readers love books with flaws, because those flaws tend not to matter as long as the story connects with them. 

There are people who complain about all the adverbs Rowling uses for dialog tags in Harry Potter. Features in Harry Potter can be used as examples of “bad craft.” Does it mean the books are poorly crafted? Does it lessen their value to the literary world? To the world at large? OF COURSE NOT. 

No book is perfectly crafted. Not a single one. The book you’re writing will never be perfectly crafted. So what do you do about it? 

Tell your story. 

Do your best. 

Keep Improving. 

But don’t let the fact that your work has flaws stop you from writing–or worse, stop you from being proud of everything you’ve already written.
