I get why most people tend to like or take a preference to river otters or sea otters, but I feel like we don't talk enough about how the giant otter, aka. the Pteronura brasiliensis species, is pretty much the unhinged version of them.

I mean, for example, take a look at this curious looking river otter:

And of course, the adorable looking sea otter:

But it's funny to me to compare them with the existence of the Ariranha and they look like... this:
