Something that really gets to me about Hotch is how patient he is with his team. You never really see him lose his temper with them, even when they lose his temper with him.

Morgan and Reid have both yelled at Hotch but both times he never yelled back, he just calmly told them he values them and that they are misunderstanding his intentions.

He revealed in season 5 that he does his team’s case summaries most of the time so that they can go home when they are meant to, meaning he is always in the office.

He always lets Garcia do her silly bits because he knows it’ll make her day better, and sometimes he will even indulge her by joining in.

He put everything on the line by keeping Reid’s addiction a secret and by not telling anyone about what Elle did.

He did everything he could to protect Emily when her life was in danger.

When a member of his team says they need a break or they need to step away, he never forces them to carry on, he is so completely understanding of their needs and genuinely values their mental well-being.

I just love him so much, he was such a perfect leader

Why does no one write just for mgg and not his characters? I’ve read every single option for spencer!!! You’re hurt, he’s hurt, undercover as a couple, non-bau reader, hotch!reader, coffee shop au, blah blah blah!!!! I have read all the mgg x reader fics I’ve found. Some of them are amazing and thought out and satisfying. Other are like glorified wattpad drafts.

how i feel reading the entire series over once the author posts the next part bc i can't remember for shit:

ik it’s like the job, and they do this kinda thing all the time - but, if i was aubrey idk if i could casually be pals with him after a kiss like that.

like, the way his body naturally moves closer to her hips in such a fluid manner, his hands are practically clawing at her, and the way he kisses…it’s like he’s has an awful craving he couldn’t place his whole life and kissing her has fulfilled this primitive hunger. his body is responding like he’s wanted her for the longest time.

and they’re just friends.

like other scenarios of the show with them as a pair are very..racey. that’s their whole dynamic, a sexual tension that is suffocating the characters and the audience.

and the director yells cut, they get up and are done, and they go home like that wasn’t pure passion. they come in for work the next morning and they face each other as if they didn’t make out furiously a few hours ago. they go home and come back and they aren’t in love. they aren’t flustered and shy. they are friends. who feel no attraction towards one another.

i do not believe that’s possible
