Remembered the phrase "[someone] is turning in his grave", as a way of saying that someone who's now dead would so deeply disapprove of something that a living person is doing that their corpse would stir in unease.

Then I remembered an expression, "even a worm will turn", as a way of saying that no matter how downtrodden or lowly someone seems, they can nonetheless turn against their abusers and oppressors once they've had enough of it.

Then cross-contamination happened and the phrase "a worm is turning in his grave" emerged to me. I have no idea what that means.

Love the comparison to an AO3 comment section. I had a similar experience when I went to see it and I agree that it’s exactly what the play deserved, honestly I think it’d be stranger without that kind of reaction (would be lying if I said I wasn’t acting the same, just much quieter.)

kinda genuinely fuming over the fact that Baldur’s Gate 3 lost to Cyberpunk 2077 for best community support??? like girl.

cyberpunk is a phenomenal game, and it was from the start, at least in terms of it’s narrative and story, and i think the community put up with so much shit and saw the beauty in it in spite of its flaws.

cyberpunk deserved that award in my heart, but whatever. it won it in my heart too
