Am trying to trim down a monstrosity of a manuscript. In the meantime, enjoy some of my Best Writer Brainrot Moments.
BRIEFLY. I was trying to spell BRIEFLY.
More of my spelling mistakes here.
@w0lfinsheepscl0thing Yes we can! It's a drawing from my website!
How many literary cats can you recognise?
Today on the Goober Cat Advent. It's them! It's the gang! They've summoned Santa. For very reasonable reasons, I'm sure, lads...? (The gang's guide to Santa summoning here)
L-R @blackforrestpunk 's Punk Erik, @vladimirsangel 's Aurik and my Pierce.
The trouble of having a deadpan face. She's going to be passive-aggressively delighted about this for the rest of her days.
Thank you so much @frommarshtheycome for drawing my Sarah!
@purrlockswatson 's OC Sarah Bernard from 'Gothic Tales from Melancholia.'
I love her design, I had a lot of fun drawing her!
Maddy, please love your lil shites, or they'll riot! Look at them!
I feel awful when I see artists say their art is not important, but I'd also be the first to roast my own art. I know what it's like to look at all the art out there and think, "Welp, time to move to a flooded cellar."
It's hard to convince ourselves that we matter. But hey, a lot of things are hard to believe, and it doesn't make them less true!
Yesterday (or better today at night) while drawing my stupid shitpost I was thinking: “Wow… In the phandom there are so many artists who draw beautiful and meaningful illustrations inspired by this fantastic story and this is my contribution… A stupid shitpost…”
Not to say that I’ve not enjoyed doing those, but isn’t this a bit sad?
WIPs. I sure hope we never see any Phantoms other than a cat Phantom wearing duck swimming trunks because, oh boy, is that cursed!
None-cursed (or at least less cursed) cat phantoms here!
Some time ago, I said to a friend (you know who you are) that Cherik had a big sword, and I remember this meme by @1loveonelifetime
Of course, I had to make a Kitty Cherik version.
More POTO cats drawings here!
Ages has passed, and now he's looking at the even bigger box that says 'Series'.
Now I have to spend ages fattening him up with descriptive prose and literary references…
I love you in every universe? No such luck for Joseph Buquet.
Moment of appreciation for the chibis.
Who is the silliest chibi? Most voted chibi gets a Treat.
More POTO cats here!
Wanted to draw something but my holidays end tomorrow and I'm as motivated as an undead potato right now.
I've already got around 1,800 things to do in the first week back, it means I have to visit basically every office on campus and it's going to be absolute shite.
What's not shite, at least I hope not, is this fresh upload:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/63019435/chapters/161671531
(I don’t know why the link looks like that, just my luck, my Internet is messing with me right now)
Anyway, enjoy a Frankenstein Monster having a crush that doubles as an existential crisis while I go and try not to turn into mash.
The 5 stages of watching POTO 1925:
1. Beautiful set design. Mouth of Hell, giant skull for sitting on and decapitated head automaton -- peak Gothic atmosphere.
2. He's here! The Persian at last.
3. I want to live in this Erik's basement, that gondola-inspired bed is gorgeous.
4. Oh la vache, who let Erik drive?
5. THEY YEETED HIM INTO THE RIVER?
(Meme is originally Interview with the Vampurr Lestat's corpse yeet.)
I am not happy that they made this a 'monster film.' The greatest part of POTO is how it never denied Erik's crimes, but also never portrayed him as a mindless monster. But other than the ending, I did enjoy the film.
HOWEVER, now I'm in a mood and want to write a whole essay in complaint of the other silver screen adaption I've seen thus far, Phantom of the Opera (2004). That one I sometimes wish to roast with the heat of a burning opera house. See that and rambles about other adaptations here
Amanda. Artist. Writer. Victorian vampire. Here lies my shenanigans.
