😁
can you please explain your header image im intrigued
I don't know if I can mention the other party because they might bludgeon me, but
I think it's pretty self explanatory, I'll explain anyway:
Essentially we were in discord and they were giving me a history lesson on sex toys in ancient china, one of those being that cock rings were made out of goat eyelids.
When I heard "cock ring" my mind immediately went to Yue Qingyuan, and things just escalated from there. I questioned at one point why they couldn't use what they make out of immortal binding cables to create a cock ring, and then I decided that Yue Qingyuan must have an Immortal Binding Goat Eyelid Cockring.
Bobby Hill is just there because he was in my old header.
about Ruoye
What’s interesting about Ruoye’s (若邪) name is that, the second character in its name, “ye” (邪), is usually pronounced as “xie” (not the “xie” in Xie Lian), and almost never as “ye.” However, mxtx confirmed the pronunciation of “Ruoye” herself. So what might be the significance of 邪 being pronounced as “ye”?
邪 is no longer pronounced as “ye” in modern Chinese, and there’re two instances in classical Chinese where it’s pronounced as “ye”: first, as an interrogative particle in a sentence; and secondly, when it’s used within the name of the ancient legendary sword Moye (莫邪). So it’s very hard not to associate Ruoye with Moye, the sword forged around 500 BC that has achieved mythical status in Chinese tales.
Moye is in fact originally the name of a swordsmith. Legend goes that Moye and her husband were commissioned by the king to forge swords, but they had difficulty melting the metal in the furnace when forging the sword, so Moye threw herself into the furnace which eventually induced the metal to melt. After the sword was made, it was named after Moye. So we see the similarity between the sword Moye and Xie Lian’s weapon Ruoye: they both came into being as a result of human sacrifice. Moye gave her own body to forge the sword; Ruoye came alive due to Xie Lian’s blood and the resentful and catastrophic energy given rise by the death of XL’s parents.
Behind both the stories of Moye and Ruoye, there’s the ancient Chinese superstition that in order to forge a weapon of the highest calibre and with its own soul, human sacrifice is required for it, so that human spirit and life force can be absorbed into the weapon. Blood, in particular, was seen as the essence of the human life force, and crucial to creating an object imbued with human spirit. This might explain why Ruoye was so close and loving to Xie Lian as soon as it came to life, as it was stained with Xie Lian’s blood. So to sum it up, the pronunciation of Ruoye’s name tells us two things: first, that it is a very ancient weapon, since 邪 is only pronounced as “ye” in classical Chinese; secondly, like the sword Moye, Ruoye has a dark and bloody origin in human sacrifice.

First, after an aggressive war on Gaza City and its revival, we were displaced from our 3-storey house in which I and my family of 3 members live.
My father's family consists of 8 members
My grandfather, may God have mercy on him, was martyred by occupation aircraft on 12/14/2023.
The one who was martyred while he was leaving the house to check on our house next to him, which could not be reached due to a brutal enemy who does not differentiate between anyone in death, went out to check on our house, which we were not in because of my displacement to Rafah, me, my father, and our families due to the intensity of the fighting in Khan Yunis, and after that A few days ago, our store in which my father and brothers work was bombed by occupation aircraft. He was working to gather his strength from it and meet the needs of our house, which no longer exists due to the bombing. We ask you to help and contribute, even if just a little, by donating to us so that we can compensate for a little of what we lost.
Many thanks to you 😢

I know I haven't been super active on here for the last few months, but I don't know where else to turn... My name is Harmony, and I'm a 19yo trans lesbian who needs help escaping an abusive situation.
My mom and dad recently found out that I'm trans, and what was once verbal and mental abuse has turned physical and violent very fast. I've packed a suitcase and I'm planning on leaving, but I have nowhere to go and I'm so fucking scared.
I don't want to ask for too much but I would love to just get a hotel room for a few nights until I can find someone I can stay with. If it were summertime, I would just sleep in my car, but it's way too cold for that right now... The cheapest hotel near me is $60 a night and I only have $14 to my name at the moment. If you can send even a dollar, or spread this post, it would help me so much.
Thank you for considering, and thank you for reading.

Shen Jiu is an abuser. Shen Jiu abused Luo Binghe and (depending on how you interpret certain parts of the novel) most likely others. He was a profoundly unpleasant person to be around by his own doing, not just some poor misunderstood baby.
Just because he didn’t murder Liu Qingge or sexually abuse NYY doesn’t mean that he was innocent of everything. Especially not his abuse of LBH which is a fundamental part of SVSSS’s story— about cycles of abuse and how someone’s life experiences can shape them in different ways.
Learning about Shen Jiu’s backstory humanizes him. It explains his actions and how he got to where he was.
It does not, and should not excuse him.
Humans can be both abuser and victim. That’s how the cycle of abuse fundamentally works.
I love Shen Jiu. He’s one of my favorite characters of all time. He’s still an abuser.
You can feel sorry for him, but don’t make him innocent. He knew what he was doing. He did it intentionally. He wanted to spite LQG, he wanted to hurt LBH, to destroy his cultivation and even his life.
Shen Jiu is a brilliant portrayal of a truth people are afraid of— that sometimes survivors are not inspirational. Sometimes they’re mean. Sometimes they’re bad people. Sometimes they carry the worst parts of their abusers with them because that was what they feared, and if others feared them then they would have the control they so desperately needed.
Shen Jiu is not a one dimensional villain who is evil for the sake of it. He’s a human character with complex reasons for being the way he is, and a traumatic upbringing he didn’t choose or have any control over.
He’s still an abuser.
WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER 🔥🔥🔥
