Steve gives up and goes to law school — just like his dad always wanted. But not out of obedience. Oh no. He does it out of pure, unfiltered spite. The kind of spite that whispers: "I’m gonna dismantle your entire shady-ass business empire, old man. From the inside. With the kind of legal knowledge no overpriced firm ever managed to use against you. And guess what? I’ve got dirt."
It’s that unhinged desire for petty revenge that somehow turns Steve into a genuinely good lawyer. Like, worryingly good. Turns out, it’s easy to learn when you don’t take any of it too seriously — and your internal monologue is just a running track of “let’s see what happens if I win.”
Halfway through law school, he meets Eddie Munson. Accused of crimes in one state. Hiding out in another. A rising rockstar. A chaos gremlin. A walking lawsuit. And unfortunately, Steve’s new client — because Steve just had to sign up for that unpaid “public defender internship.”
The rest is legal hellfire, leather jackets, and questionable decision-making.
Oh, and falling in love. Probably. Maybe.
(Definitely.)
Half of this is from @purplepri? I had this idea before but I wrote it down after liking a post about Steve in business school so…

Come to think of it Tommy could have add or adhd
i wouldn’t be surprised if he did! he does seem to have that sort of vibe to him. his hyperactive nature, the way he can’t stay focused on one task before shuttling to the next, unless it’s music. his hyper fixations on bonsai trees and cars. even the way talks just makes me think “man he’s gotta have adhd!” if he does have it that would explain a lot about him.
So they've decided to take the idea and run it again
Context: Millions of fanfic authors had their work stolen by ai from the user nyuuzyou. Now, someone else with a different username has the same idea as nyuu and is highly unlikely to give you your work back. Whereas nyuu is willing to delete your work as long as you reach out to him directly. 😒
someone on the news claiming that "adhd is fashionable" meanwhile people are still dicks if you forget things easily, need people to give clear instructions, ask someone to repeat themselves, or can't sit still for longer than half an hour at a time. this is like saying "ocd is fashionable" because people like to say they're "a little ocd" when they like things organised

We recently had a problem with someone scraping Ao3 works for their data set and/or AI training model.
Obviously, this is absolutely out of line, but there's little to no regulation AI right now & not much we can do to defend ourselves from theft besides filing DMCA reports & restricting access to only Archive Users on Ao3 [aka Locking], which I will show how to do below.
You can find the Tumblr post HERE.
Thank you sincerely to the community on Reddit & that Tumblr user for spreading the word.
Open Ao3, create your new work
From there, scroll down to Privacy, look for this section:
3. Select 'Only show your work to registered users'.
Open your Dashboard
Locate the Work you want to lock, open it
Right next to the 'Add Chapter' button in the top left corner, you will see 'Edit'. Open that.
Scroll down to Privacy, just like above
Toggle 'Only show your work to registered users' on!
P.S. hi :] -R
:]
were I to create an original piece of media I would create bait so queer in order to create a fanfic environment I like. I find you guys do your best work under duress.
