As for the long answer... In terms of Bill's backstory playing into my interpretation? I haven't figured it out yet, I have a couple of concepts but I'm not really interested in exploring that part of the narrative (even in gravity falls) as much as other parts and character relations 💔

I'd like to think that Bill or even the concept of him doesn't exist in this au, so the destruction of his home dimension wasn't at all connected to him, but maybe Scalene and Euclid still managed to cause a tear in their dimension by other means.

As far as I know in tbob the destruction itself is kept vague, and lemme tell ya I am NOT creative enough to fill in those gaps in a way that is satisfying, especially in this scenario, but...

My personal headcanon is 2 lesbian triangles find out about the concept of z by seeing something from a perspective that would be impossible to them and then accidentally exploding their universe.

In fact, I like to compare BillFord and Axobill in the same timeline. At first, Bill played the role of an abuser. Ford was addicted to his muse, and at that time the muse manipulated him, played with him. Bill felt a certain emotional attachment, but most of all he liked control over someone and superiority. And having lost Ford's trust, he began to cling to it on his own. After all, he liked this feeling of superiority over someone so much, while he was simply adored.

When the Axolotl becomes the main person in Bill's life, Bill has to put up with the fact that the Axolotl surpasses him in strength and Bill may not even try to harm them. And unexpectedly for him, the Axolotl is not doing the same thing that Bill was doing with Ford. Although it would seem that Bill deserved it and it is strange that the Axolotl does not need this sense of control at all. They talk to Bill on the same level, take into account his opinion on something, and Bill learns what a healthy relationship is.

Visually, I see it as two dances. In the first dance, Bill leads, grabbing Ford's hands in such a way that he hurts him, not allowing him to escape. Bill has a position of a leader and an abuser, he does not see himself in any other guise.

The second dance is led by the Axolotl, gently holding Bill's hands in them, without forcing, however, Bill does not leave, he only relaxes, as he is broken by the loss and is already tired of all this and in dancing with the Axolotl he feels a strange sense of peace.
