i am honestly so obsessed with this??? kusakabe just looks SO EXCITED to be with sajou and i can imagine sajou thinking to himself, “omg why is he laughing so hard? why would this popular guy want hang out with me???” But sajou’s also thinking about how he looks like a ball of sunshine and how he hopes to stay by his side and enjoy his warmth for as long as possible while still maintaining that “cool” look on his face, you know? and kusakabe’s probably just ridiculously geeked that he’s met this person and is like “im just gonna enjoy every second with you cus you make me so happy. i have a good feeling about this.”
i wrote all of this just to say they are cute af and im so happy theyre husbands now🥺
REBLOG IF YOU SHIP WANDER X LORD HATER! (started by thunderbirds727)
Here’s my piece inspired by “Barry” for the @haderzine.
Living up to my url and played with the shadows to show the actor side of Barry, the hitman side of Barry, and his inescapable deeds catching up to him.

I WANT TO CHECK YOUR BLOGS, FTW.
Severus Snape is my favorite character of all time and I would absolutely die for him but also if he were a real person I had to deal with in my real life I would 100% have slapped him AT LEAST once. Bare minimum.
snapetober 2020
hey guys, i decided i wanted to attempt whumptober this year for my fave, severus snape! i compiled a list of prompts from a few different posts, basically cherry picking anything i was interesting in writing/considered more applicable for the wizarding world.
if ya’ll want to participate, i would love it so much! snapedom hasn’t had an event (that i’ve been aware of anyway) in a good bit, so i thought i’d make an official prompts post! tag will be snapetober and entries can be writing (ANY length), art, photosets/edits, headcanon lists, etc.
there aren’t any rules, im just doing this for fun and thought i’d open it up to everyone. you can skip or combine prompts as you see fit. any secondary characters or pairings too, just make it snape centric and the whump doesn’t even have to be towards him. im probably going to make a lot of mine severitus!!

The scene where Snape finds Harry in the pensieve is awful, and one of my favourites. The emotions you can imagine both characters going through??? flawless. Harry finding out his father isnt the angel everyone made him out to be and Snape dealing with the fact that his bullies son witnessed his most humiliating moments… dunno, just heartbreaking stuff.
his little “boo” 🥺

i always joke with my friends that the malfoy family is matriarchal, partly because i, personally, would let narcissa boss me around in a heartbeat, but also because i actually think there’s a solid canon backing that she’s like. the Head Bitch of the family. especially later on in the series. (it’s also why i think reading lucius as abusive is a misreading of their relationship, but whatever.)
just in general, i will never understand the reading that she’s meek or timid. we see so little of her character but with what we do see, she defies voldemort twice (lying about harry and going to severus for help), doesn’t shy away from standing up for herself/her family, seemingly holds the family together when lucius has his fall from grace, is not the least bit scared of her sister, and is more than willing to throw hands with her son’s rivals in public. to me, she’s very much lucius’ equal, even if she isn’t a sadist like her husband or sister (and i suppose there’s not a whole lot of canon material on that either way, so you can’t say for sure what she is). her capacity for compassion does not automatically make her kind, nor weak, especially since her compassion does not seem to extend past her family.
personally, narcissa gives me a lot of lady macbeth vibes. particularly the whole ‘look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it.’ (‘s also why i think she’s aptly named—daffodils are pretty and poisonous.) but back to my point:
the example of narcissa’s authority pre-everything going to shit is obviously this:
which is easily passable as an insignificant win in a family discussion, but then
you’ve got
stuff like
this
i haven’t read the books in a couple of years, so these examples are just the ones i can pluck from the top of my head, but i think it’s very interesting that narcissa is generally the one who defends the family, who lucius and draco turn to for guidance, and who is also just. the only malfoy the other death eaters seem to really respect (dh era).
there’s also the matter of movie canon, which i’m pretty eh with, but i do prefer the malfoy family ending in the films to the one in the books. and the fact that it’s narcissa who instigates it—who gets draco to come to them after he’s ignored lucius’ call, who walks away and calls for lucius to follow (and then he does)—is a nice representation of the authority she has in the books, i think. and then there’s also this:
which i could wax poetic on for hours, but it’d mostly just be shippy ramblings.
anyway. tl;dr: the timid, meek narcissa you sometimes see in fanon is ridiculous.
in my humble opinion, the fact that snape was a death eater should not even be such a frequent talking point in anti snape rhetoric, given that he spent the last part of his life trying to bring them down.
im not saying it cancels it out, but im saying that if you have beef with him for joining the DE, surely you’ll have to acknowledge and appreciate that he tried to make up for it by doing his best to destroy them altogether?
if a person made a mistake when they were young, but ultimately gave their life to make that mistake right, you can’t sit here and attack the person for making said mistake, while completely disregarding their very serious and equally important act of atonement that followed.
yes, joining the death eaters was perhaps the worst thing snape did, but giving his actual life to dismantle them is the best, and those two should always come hand in hand in a debate or argument, because mentioning only one is a distortion of his arc, even his essence if you will.
tldr; if you’re gonna mention snape’s past in the death eaters, you better also bring up the fact that he sacrificed his life to stop them.

Hey, unpopular opinion, apparently. But people don’t just “have pain for no reason” doctors say this all the time (especially to women and chronically ill people) and the truth is, Thats literally not possible. Even if your pains are psychosomatic (a word I hesitate to even use because of the way its used so often) there is a reason you are having those pains whether its mental illness, abuse, etc. If your doctor consistently tells you that “well some people just have pain for no reason” get a new doctor. That’s a doctor who is not going to give a shit what your actual symptoms or experiences are.

Snape: well that's your opinion
snape: it’s nice to be wanted, you know?
dumbledore: not by the law.
I feel like I'm like one if the only people who think that Snape's love for Lily was just plain our creepy and fucking weird and obsessive. Yes you found argue with me that James was like that too but James matured meanwhile here's Snape clutching her dead corpes like can we get this dude a different love interest. Maybe like idk Voldemort voldy seems very interested in Snape.
“I’m quite surprised the Mudbloods haven’t all packed their bags by now,” Malfoy went on. “Bet you five Galleons the next one dies. Pity it wasn’t Granger–”
The bell rang at that moment, which was lucky; at Malfoy’s last words, Ron had leapt off his stool, and in the scramble to collect bags and books, his attempts to reach Malfoy went unnoticed.
“"Let me at him,” Ron growled as Harry and Dean hung onto his arms. “I don’t care, I don’t need my wand, I’m going to kill him with my bare hands–
“Hurry up, I’ve got to take you all to Herbology,” barked Snape over the class’s heads, and off they marched, with Harry, Ron, and Dean bringing up the rear, Ron still trying to get loose. (HP/CoS, )
[Hypervigilant Snape has an uncanny ability to sense and punish Gryffindor aggression against any Slytherin, especially Draco. But here, Ron spends several minutes under Snape’s supervision lunging at Draco, growling death threats, forcibly restrained by two other Gryffindors. Snape might miss the occasional moment, but not a struggle that lasts for the entire walk to the castle doors. Through careful use of the passive voice–“his attempts to reach Malfoy went unnoticed” –Rowling hints that Snape saw Ron’s anger but let it pass unremarked. We don’t know yet that Snape has any history around Slytherin boys wishing death on Muggle-born girls. We only know that something about Draco’s comment override’s Snape’s usual eagerness to take Draco’s side against Gryffindors, the only instance such a thing happens in the series.]
Ah, Evans, don’t make me hex you,’ said James earnestly.
‘Take the curse off him, then!’ James sighed deeply, then turned to Snape and muttered the counter-curse.
‘There you go,’ he said, as Snape struggled to his feet. ‘You’re lucky Evans was here, Snivellus –’
‘I don’t need help from filthy little Mudbloods like her!’
Lily blinked. ‘Fine,’ she said coolly. ‘I won’t bother in future. And I’d wash your pants if I were you, Snivellus.’
‘Apologise to Evans!’ James roared at Snape, his wand pointed threateningly at him.
‘I don’t want you to make him apologise,’ Lily shouted, rounding on James.
‘You’re as bad as he is.’ ‘What?’ yelped James. ‘I’d NEVER call you a – you-know-what!’
[Lily blinked: she was surprised to hear Snape call her a ‘filthy little Mudblood.’ she hadn’t been expecting it. Snape could not endure being told that he owed his relief to Lily’s willingness to put herself on the line for him. We don’t see in this memory how we’ll they know each other, but her surprise shows that it’s something that hasn’t happened before. The betrayal causes enough of a change in her attitude that she calls him by the same name that the bullies do and made her own sexually humiliating observation. James’s outrage shows that he thinks his own behaviour was morally superior to Snape’s hate speech, a view that Lily does not share. She tells James he makes her sick then leaves. James covers for this loss of face by resuming his bullying and playing to the crowd.]
[Rowling gives us a clue (to why Snape is so shaken) in the chapter title ‘Snape’s worst memory.’ We don’t see the whole memory, but for her to give it that title, we can assume that we have seen most or all of what we need to know. Snape is not the one who labels the memory this way; the chapter title is a message from author to reader. The bullying is bad, but Snape has been through worse: these same people tried to kill him the sexual humiliation is bad, but that’s not it, either, or the scene would not have cut off before the attempt to remove Snape’s pants. Rowling is showing that it was Snape’s own response to Lily that makes this his worst memory. His shame is one reason why he orders Harry not to tell anyone what he saw. We know from other characters, such as Lupin, that shame can drive people to secrecy that is nearly impossible to break. Surely, nothing else in that memory would be newsworthy enough for Snape to forbid Harry to speak of it; nobody would be surprised that teens bullied another teen or that bullied teen struck back]
And now Snape stood again in the Headmaster’s study as Phineas Nigellus came hurrying into his portrait. ‘Headmaster! They are camping in the Forest of Dean! The Mudblood –’ ‘Do not use that word!’
[Phileas Nigellus Black wass running into his portrait with news of Harry and Hermione’s location. Snape has been looking for them for months to give them the sword of Gryffindor, but even so, there’s something else so important that he interrupts this long awaited announcement.
In this final memory from Snape, Rowling is making a deliberate parallel to Dumbledore, letting us know without ambiguity that Snape is just as steadfast on issues that matter. When Draco had Dumbledore at wandpojnt in the top of the tower, he referred to Hermione with a slur.
(’ Please do not use that offensive word in front of me,’ said Dumbledore. Malfoy gave a harsh laugh. ’ you care about me saying’ Mudblood ’ when I’m about to kill you?’)
Snape and Dumbledore are equally clear that they fight for the rights of muggle born, just as Snape and Dumbledore both sacrificed the chance to save their own lives because they used their last moments to protect Harry instead]
