Death Note is great for two main reasons:
The male main character rivlas are handcuffed together for months in a row. They (most likely) share a bed.
I'd argue this arc in general is the point in the series in which they have the smallest amount of sexual tension. This includes the half of the story where one of them is dead.
i like to think L had light cut his hair during the yotsuba arc at least once. for efficiency and all that .

Thinking bout the differences between fem!light and fem!L. Light would do all the culturally expected things: the long hair, the makeup (but not too much because ‘that’s trashy’), modest skirts. All that shit. She performs hegemonic femininity to a tee
And then L would just be the exact same. She’s exactly the same as canon L. And light would HATE her for it. Because lights femininity would just be another mask for her but L doesn’t play that one specific game.
