Hello, sorry for kept you waiting, I was busy recovering from my art month. Thank you for the questions and nice words! My main interest in art is to create something special, outstanding that can tear apart the pattern, at least mine. Also I am very sensitive to the colours selection and do spend really a lot of time polishing the right balance. I’ve never done any kind of gestures (I’m not even sure I know what are those xD).

During this time I understood a lot of things about drawing (and about myself too), grown as an artist and have changed a lot in general. Bunch of ideas popped in my head and I can’t wait. A Guide to Sleeping With Anafenza
- She sleeps in a bathtub. She has a very large tub in her room, with a small hammock installed in it for her to sleep on. Being Ejinn, she’s able to hold her breath for very extended lengths, so even rolling in her sleep won’t immediately wake her up or cause her to panic from a lack of breath. Sleeping in the water reminds her of sleeping on the banks of the Great River with her family.
- She loves to snuggle. Despite the “water” bed, she also keeps a small mattress and blankets in another corner of the room for when she has company. She is already a very affectionate and contact-seeking individual, and the trend carries over into sleep (in the event she’s lucky enough to have someone wanting to sleep with her).
- She has vivid dreams. Sometimes they wake her; sometimes she stays asleep through the whole ordeal, sometimes believing these even visited other locations because of the clarity of the dreams. She began keeping a journal of her dreams, and will quickly record the events of her dreams in the journal before she forgets them.
- She can’t sleep on her back. Between the horns and her powerful tail, Anafenza is down-right pained when she’s on her back, and will avoid sleeping in that position by any means. On her side is ok as long as she has a pillow to support her neck, but mostly she sleeps on her stomach as a result (unless she’s in her tub; the hammock is easier to sleep on her back in).
- She likes to nap frequently. With all the exercise she gets swimming, Anafenza will nap throughout the day as well, which also means she rarely will sleep for a full six to eight bells: she just doesn’t need to given the sleep schedule she maintains.

Okie book lovers, what are your favorite books?
oooh, books? okay, favourite series hands down has to be Wings of Fire. that shit slaps! my favourite book overall.. for some reason i really love these two morbid books i read a while back, one of them being the Bunker Diary by Kevin Brooks, and another being Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. my favourite Wings of Fire book has to be Moon's, just because if her unique perspective, but Darkstalker's is a CLOSE second. i also really liked the Amulet series but i never read all of it. - Peasant Artist Willow
My favourite book series is definitely Wings of Fire, it's what got me into loving books. Um.. it's hard for me to pick a favourite book.. I've read a lot of stand-alone books, but I don't remember them! If I were to try to pick out a favourite book in the Wings of Fire series, it would have to be.. uhhh... Either Glory's book, Darkstalker's book, or also Clay's book--I feel like Clay's book doesn't get enough credit. - Overlord Tofu

as i get farther along this academic road, i can see that people are becoming increasingly secretive about their grant proposals, statements for faculty applications, fellowships, etc. what is your policy on sharing these things? i ask because i think you are a Normal Human Being who is a Decent Person, and sometimes this secrecy or tendency to distrust makes me sad!
i understand and i really dislike it as well, but i think it’s important to remember that much of that distrust comes from real and historical patterns of intellectual theft (which hit disproportionately across academia). it’s shitty! the world is a better place when we can share openly and help each other get through the absolute absurdity of the academy! but i can’t think badly of anyone who chooses not to spread their materials around. even though they’re not the same kind of work as, say, a book chapter or an article, we put a lot of labor into documents like proposals and applications, and i think it’s okay to be protective of that labor.
that said, i’m really open with mine, particularly with people that i actually know. my roommate’s getting a big folder of fellowship and job application materials from me, for example, which is partially bc i love him & the other younger premodernists in my program and want them to succeed, and partially bc i want to save our shared advisor some work. my fellowship group have swapped and given feedback all our job materials, and juliana @caffeinebooks & i exchange proposals all the time. i’m happy to share things like cover letters and research statements with people that i know, because i want to save them some of the angst i went through (which was already ameliorated by the folks who did this for me). it’s harder to muster that kind of generosity towards people i don’t know, because, as selfish as it sounds, i spent 9 hours getting the wording on that cover letter right and i’m enough of an asshole to want to reserve the fruits of that labor for people i know and love, at least until i’ve moved on to other forms of labor. i was not planning on sharing my job materials until i got a job. now i’m cool with it.
i feel an obligation to pay forward a lot of the help that i’ve gotten on my materials from people who shared theirs with me. but i also understand not being comfortable doing that, or only being comfortable doing that in certain ways. the giving and the getting should be balanced, IMO, but i think it’s up to the individual to decide what that balance looks like for them.

20. what i look for in a book
for getting into a book, i want “disappearing” prose that doesn’t distract me from the scene with unnatural rhythm or silly word choice, dialogue that’s either naturalist or theatrical but NOT forced to set up stupid lil quips, place descriptions that take me away, a feeling of promise that smth will happen.
for remembering & loving it after i’m done reading—a striking turn & sudden illumination towards the end of the book about what it all meant (even if the answer is “nothing” or “we don’t get to know”), a main character who got to be selfish, magnetic, and cunning, a world that felt wider & deeper than what was seen in this story, an ending that satisfied. doesn’t have to be uplifting or unpredictable as long as i hear the door click shut behind me on my way out yk.

joyce doesn’t necessarily want monogamy, but her ortega derangement syndrome doesn’t leave much room for noticing or returning anyone else’s interest. like i think it’s pretty damning that she’s a dating sim MC and in three playthroughs i’ve never felt compelled to even try another route with her.
her puppet, josie, cursorily flirts with mortum to make their working relationship easier, but it doesn’t excite her. mortum wants to be wanted by josie, so where’s the sport?
i do think she has chemistry with chen, that he has chemistry with ricardo, and that they’d be good for each other in a trio, but i can’t see her wanting someone who’s good for her. she’s busy acting up about ortega !

definitely something with like planetary weight, although that might not be true if it wasn’t for the re-gene tattoos, because she’s a sensual person & totally horny enough.
