Hello Dear Friends, Hope I Find You Well On This Late Evening, May I Present Myself Here Standing Next

Hello dear friends, hope I find you well on this late evening, may I present myself here standing next to my canvas wrap print called The Lonely Girl.

I remember when this was a clay sculpture in my little workshop, now all this time on I stand next to it hanging on the wall looking like a painting. Creativity is certainly a wonderful thing in terms of presenting art works in different ways.

I'm really hoping that my next photo I show here will be the first in the making photo of my new sculpture called The Lost Boy Of Venice. This sculpture is based on a 507 year old ghost story πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘» , I'll tell the story as the sculpture develops.

I wish you a great week ahead, Take care πŸ™ŒπŸ€—.

Seven

December 31, 2024 Acrylic on canvas

Finally finished this painting!! Hey, got it done before 2025 at the very least πŸ˜‰

Only took about 30 minutes to finish it up because it was just cleanup and painting the edges.

Moniker for this painting went from "coloured puke" to "seven" because when asking my family what the meaning behind this painting was we realized that there are seven characters here, which could be indicative of the seven deadly sins. Ofc that was unintentional, but was a cool coincidence.

Non-unanimously, the sins were identified as:

Pride - Green / ???

Wrath - Orange

Lust - Red

Gluttony - Yellow

Envy - Green / Pink

Greed - ???

Sloth - Purple

The blue guy didn't really fit any of them 😭

I asked my family what they thought the meaning of this one because they'd incessantly bugged me about what the meaning behind another painting I was working on was.

Still need to varnish it, but I'll get to that later

Another painting I did at the cafe. Used the metallic white as my base, and then sketched a fish skeleton on it using my silver metallic pen. Then smoothed out and fixed the forms with a damp brush.

I like the effect using the metallic-on-metallic paints give. Depending on the angle you're looking at it you can either clearly see the fish, or see nothing at all. I think it's neat

Little sparkly ocean painting i did at a cafe with friends. Underpainted using a mix of metallic white and yellow, so when the painting catches the light it sparkles ✨. Can't really see it in the photos though πŸ’”

December 1-30, 2022

This was supposed to be a themed trilogy, but I, like always, did not really have a theme in mind. I was kind of going for 'where art and technology/science meet' but it was really shoehorned. This was going to be a beautiful piece symbolizing medicine w elements of the staff of asclepius w the snake and her arm.

Making this was really, really annoying. I hadn't done a multi canvas piece since the cardinal (which was five years prior) so the idea was I go all out for this one (bad idea, never got finished). I did really like the style and the overall composition of the piece, but there's a 0.00001% chance I ever go back to this because of how big of a task it'd be.

First of all, making the wooden frame just to hold the canvases in the right position was terrible. I made the spacing smaller because I didn't want to lose details, but because it was so thin it broke 24/7. Don't even talk to me about the nailing/gluing process.... horrible.

Painting it was also a feat, because it took up so much space and I had to dance around the pieces constantly.

I got it to a place where it was finished enough, and then I was done with it.

(also I changed the position of the legs in the painting to make it more anatomically correct, but it ruined the silhouette)

The canvases still exist in my house, but the frame is long gone.

2017

Multi-canvas painting I did. I don't know what gave me this idea, but it was crazy. Can't believe I made this back in 2017.

Made spacers out of foam boards from the dollar store so that the canvases would be held in the final configuration during painting.

Bought my first ever non dollar store paint from DeSerres for this project. Still have quite a few colours (namely the red 😍)

Shout out to my father for making the frames ‼️‼️
