it's really cool to see how deeply people care about this franchise! i just want to say that i'm a casual marvel watcher who happens to ship sambucky so this post isn't anything serious

anyone who disagrees with this post is welcome to express their opinion, but i want to establish that i'm not dying on this hill or anything

if my boyfriend started leading a group called the new avengers that worked with the government (and included the government appointed captain america) after i fought alongside the former captain america for the belief that the avengers should not work with the government due to fear of limitation and corruption AND was chosen by the former captain america to be the next captain america, i too would be fucking pissed

someone said that stucky is unrequited love and sambucky is friends to lovers and i agree

i can't see thunderbolts* for two weeks so if the whole uproar of a sambucky divorce is actually just from one heated fight i will be so pissed

imagine not only having no taste but also actively hating on something harmless that others enjoy

One day, that's all I ask. One day where people who don't like SamBucky stay out of the motherfucking SamBucky tag. You pricks are insufferable. Go talk about shit you actually enjoy and stay the fuck outta ours.

you know what? fuck trying to avoid thunderbolts* spoilers because i am NOT going to wait to defend sam wilson (or anthony mackie) while people drag him for some bullshit reasons

i can't do another divorce c'mon marvel LET THEM BE MARRIED

actually i don't want patrick stewart and ian mckellen to make out in doomsday because that would make the ship canon

i want marvel to write their silly scenes and do whatever (because they will anyway) and let the fandom handle the rest because the fun of shipping isn't forcing marvel's hand, it's watching them squirm as we point out not so subtle gay subtext between characters they actively try to sell as "just really close best friends"

if i had a nickel for every time bucky barnes was love with captain america i would have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice and he still doesn't have a love interest

Sam Wilson cameo in Thunderbolts* where all he does is fly in, says “you forgot your lunch” while handing Buck a paper bag, kisses him on the cheek, and then leaves (the entire audience cheers)

the thing is, stucky is this complex heartfelt story that spans into the literal next century of a bond between two souls that runs so deep in which bucky truly sees steve for who he is pre-serum and steve still believes in bucky even after over half of a century of him being brainwashed into the winter soldier, and through the decades of torture and reset bucky still recognizes steve and saves him with the inner strength born out of love, where tragedy and hope find middle ground because despite the time, the trauma, and loss, because these two truly are with each other til the end of the line

and then sambucky has this snarky, rather childish dynamic with the underlying sincerity of care and respect in which sam treats bucky for the man he is in the present and actually gains his trust over hard stares and ridiculous banter and it shows in moments such as their hug when bucky actually closes his eyes and the trust he has in sam is evident and where sam didn't know bucky pre-winter soldier so he has no expectations for who bucky should be or how he's changed since the 1940s and gives bucky advice on how to find closure on his past and they roll around and have staring contests and oh yeah bucky literally tells sam "i love you"

two best explanations for why a ship is canon:

1. *detailed analysis of each on-screen interaction, breaking down dialogue exchanges, pointing out every single microexpression, identifying metaphors for a romantic relationship, reading between the lines, presenting theories with supporting evidence from the canon material*

2. "have you seen them they literally eye-fuck every time they're in the same space"

something where sambucky is hanging out in public and a reporter says some racist shit about sam being captain america to their face and congressman barnes punches said reporter in the face without hesitation

poolverine cherik sambucky may never be truly canon but at least we get the increasingly homoerotic bromance dynamic so that's something i guess

cherik, sambucky... marvel you have OPTIONS

opening scene of doomsday better be sam and bucky making out or else

i love how every bromance i find inevitability leads me to another one because i started with hugh jackman & ryan reynolds which led to james mcavoy & michael fassbender which turned to patrick stewart & ian mckellen and slid into sebastian stan & anthony mackie and somehow landed at david tennant & michael sheen

and that was all through tumblr

want to cry over the exam i have tomorrow and the million panic attacks im gonna have in the next 24 hours, instead cry over how much i love sambucky and bucky in particular
