It's like a competition to see who of the two is more in LOVE and Gwen definitely WON by far.
At their farewell in ITSV, Gwen wanted to kiss Miles but she hadn't dared to do it and she realized it too late (Her lips are all puckered up)
That girl revealed in polaroid the photo she had on her cell phone and brought it with her everywhere
Every day she thought of him for a year (and i bet she even dreamed several nights of him)
She literally hallucinated with the image of Miles in the windows lmao
She dedicated songs or long drum solos to Miles, venting like mad all her frustration at not being able to be with him (Yes, that is much WORSE than the drawings)
She could no longer lead her life normally without him
Gwen didn't care that Miguel had appeared out of nowhere until she saw her interdimensional clock and automatically thought of Miles
All the while Gwen was talking about Miles with her friends
For Gwen, Miles has ALWAYS been AMAZING in her eyes.
She put THE ENTIRE MULTIVERSE at risk just to spend an afternoon with the LOVE of her LIFE, it's INSANE
Her mind is clouded every time she's with Miles and several times she just gets carried away
She got jealous as HELL because Miles had a less than 10 second conversation with another girl and dragged him off on a LEASH
And she created an ENTIRE rescue team just to save him
Yes, Gwen is definitely the biggest SIMP in the multiverse by FAR
If Miles is in love with Gwen, she is TWICE (If not TRIPLE) as MADLY in LOVE with Miles
Best Spider-Romance ever. ๐ค๐ค
Honestly I think anyone who has been read 1 of my analysis can see what my opinion is, but I am curious about what the ghostflower fandom thinks of this.
Please vote and reblog so others vote too!
Even when they're knocked down on the ground they look so SOULMATES lmao
They are the best of friends.
I really don't understand why it's said that she literally doesn't know how to communicate with people, because until now I've only seen the opposite among her friends. In fact, Gwen is one of those people who, the more trust they have towards the other person, the more open they are, it's not something weird and it's something very different from "Not knowing how to interact with anyone"
Besides, "Losing the sanity" is not the appropriate term to refer to her situation either in the prologue or when she was kicked out of the Spider-Society, another VERY different thing is that she has been desperate, that she does not know what to do, nor anyone to go to, because if she had really "almost lost her sanity" she would have gone totally crazy until she sank into dementia, something she was never even close to being in that situation, in fact, the only two characters who were really on the verge of losing his sanity were Miguel and, of course, Miles, who with the short "The Spider Within" we saw how really broken he was inside, and even worse after ATSV.
gwen is so funny as a character. we saw her as such a Cool Teenage Girl in the first movie. she figured out so young how to be spiderwoman, beat bullies at school to protect her friend, is a punk, a drummer in a band, does ballet and adds the grace of her movements to her swinging and fight style, makes her own clothes and changes her hair every month, etc etc.
all that only for us to find out the most important thing about her character is she's a LOSER despite all that. she can't make friends except for peter, can't communicate with people properly, makes a fool of herself in front of her crush's parents, makes terrible decisions under pressure and tries to avoid conflict until she's on the verge of losing sanity.
and ykw? that's exactly why i adore her character so much. fake girlfailure lovers when real girlfailures (gwen stacy) come at them: oh no why would this traumatized homeless & alienated teenager do this....kill it with fire
It's interesting but let's keep in mind that the phrase "Death loves Gwen Stacy doesn't exist in the movies due to the fact that they completely replaced that phrase with "In every other universe Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man and that doesn't end well", implying that they separate and/or take different paths (Examples: Spectacular, Raimi saga, 90's series, etc. ) and in very specific cases Gwen dies (Like in TASM2), besides, we are talking about a different Spider-Gwen than the comic versiรณn and that comics phrase it is something too heavy for a movie which isn't for adults like it's in the comics most of the time.
Still, it is highly unlikely that Gwen was affected by seeing multiple Peters in Spider-Society since she wasn't affected at all knowing Peter B in the first film. The canon event that appears there is likely to have been the case, but until now the name "Ghost Spider" has never been used or made a single reference. So, in the Spider-Verse movies, Gwen's canon hero name is "Spider-Woman", for now.
I honestly think Gwen Stacy has one of the coolest spider names, being ghost spider because it has so much meaning behind it in both the comics and the movie. Even though she hasn't been called ghost spider yet in the movies.
Something that is said a lot in the comics is that "death loves Gwen Stacy" because in most universes she is dead or loses everything. This also appears to be true in spider verse. The reason I love the name ghost spider is because it was her embracing that, a way of honoring the other gwens who's graves she visits, because to most other peters she is a ghost to them. Imagine her showing up to the spider society and seeing hundreds of people with your dead best friends face, only to realize that dispite him being the ghost back home it is really you who's the ghost it's you who was dead in most other universes.
Another really cool thing that also adds to the ghost spider names actually was shown in spider verse, when looking at the Canon events every one is looking at something different, Peter B looking at his wedding, Hobie looking at himself giving up on being spiderman, Jess looking at her freeing herself from the ruble, but gwens was different, the Canon event shown for Gwen was kravens last hunt.
The image shown is a picture from the kravens last hunt redrawn from the comics from Gwen instead of Peter because this hasn't happened in gwens comics. In kravens last hunt kraven shoots and burys spiderman, they were buried for 2 weeks before digging themselves out of their grave. The image is of Gwen digging herself out of her grave and since it's the same suit from the first movie it means it's already happened. I think it's kinda symbolic that she digs herself from her grave, given the theme of the spider verse movies is changing your fate. Gwen being afraid to fall in love because she knows she will die if she does, they could change it together proving Canon events wrong.
Sleep paralysis, a unimaginable pressure in his shoulders, schizophrenia (dude...), anxiety and panic attacks (if I don't forget something else), i think Miles said: "Ok i'm going to brake the record as the most dark and tragic character in the entire saga" ๐๐๐
Hudson Thames, the voice of Peter Parker in 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man', was afraid that the series would be "Woke"...
When that asshole finds out that the character who is considered THE definitive Spider-Man, who's also the most iconic hero and the face/center of the entire franchise along with the classic Spider-Man is everything he considers "Woke", he's going to give him a stroke ๐
- "Ok but since when the Gwen and Miles relationship become a romantic story for both parts? ๐ค"
- Since the fucking beggining LMAO
Gwen kept the picture of her and Miles with her costume, hidden in her drum set, and Iโm just wondering how often sheโd stop and look at it before she went out to be Spider-Woman. Like, did it help? Taking comfort in the fact that even if sheโs forever misunderstood in her home dimension, thereโs one person out there who gets it? All of it?
I'm sure in that part she said in a affectionate way or jokingly (Otherwise that wouldn't be very healthy for their relationship tbh) because when Miles talks about his maturity beyond the age he is during the tower scene watch, she laughs and keeps telling him how lovely it is to be with him. For the rest of the movie, he treats him in a normal way.
Gwen said "I used to play with these when I was younger, too" like she was 15 years older than Miles, not 15 months ๐
