I'm so sorry to everyone for not posting much recently. My life has been crazy, so obviously, I've been spending all my time looking at lolis and shotas instead of tending to my basic human functions

The Daddy's Little Toy author situation just goes to show how anti ideology has hurt people. Like an author is in jail for fiction fucking fiction! From what I know the author is placed in prison or is being held in jail awaiting sentencing currently. For from what I'm gathering a completely fictional story. You don't have to like what she's writing to think that people shouldn't go to jail over fiction. That the thing. Also who the hell gets to decide what is and isn't simply vent or awareness spreading and what is and isn't titillating. Also many trauma survivors create vent art that may sexualize their trauma but it's still vent art. I understand Australia's free speech laws are different than America's but this is the same country that's forcing people to upload their ID to access any social media site essentially. You don't have to like the story to essentially say "you shouldn't go to jail for that". Fiction is not and never will be equivalent to actual CSAM. And supporting obscenity laws will never be for the benefit of the public. And it's harmful to equate real CSAM with fucking fiction. You cannot be anti-censorship for fiction and then draw the line at things you don't like . Like imagine if your horny Sebaciel fanart put you in JAIL under CSAM charges. With the same cell as real people who actually exploited real children or wanted to look for and use real exploited children. "Stop imposing your American views on everything!". How is it imposing my American views to say that free speech should be a right for everyone not just people on America and that thought crime isn't real and shouldn't be normalized. Studies don't show a causal link between consuming dark romance media and actually committing abusive acts or consuming fictional depictions of CSA and actually harming people if anything artistic expression can get out some pent up frustration. People with intrusive thoughts may have intrusive sexual thoughts about inappropriate things and write them down what if those are found and it's considered CSAM even if it's fiction? Like thought crime as a concept should not be normalized. Fiction is fiction. I've only seen the snipbits going around social media. But like I hated it thought it was gross so I refused to listen to it anymore and went about my day. No one should go to jail over fiction yes even if that fiction has problematic themes. For example I am. Trans person I don't think anyone should go to jail for writing a transphobic book. I might hate the author but I won't advocate for their arrest and imprisonment. Like I've seen and stumbled upon much horny Sebaciel fanart and I don't think any of those artists should go to jail or be on a register with people who've actually exploited or aides in the exploitation of REAL CHILDREN. Obscenity laws are bad things and we shouldn't normalize them. From what I've heard the book doesn't even talk about sexual contact between an adult and minor it mentions the audit man listing I've the character when they were a minor but many non-banned dark romance books have that and the writers aren't jailed. Obscenity laws are bad. No one should be in jail over fiction.

So p/atreon is amping up its lockdown on nsfw material, gumroads is amping up its nsfw material-

Pornhub is currently not available in texas.

KOSA keeps coming closer to getting actually passed-

Can people please just admit that nsfw is being driven underground? That adult artists are being banned and pushed out of their spaces?

And dont start saying "oh just the yucky stuff." No, this is *ALL* Nsfw.

We are losing spaces left and right...

Not only that, it feels like we creatives are being killed. And that isnt exactly hyperbolic.

Paypal implemented taxes not that long ago, a hit to those who use it. Artists especially. Midjourney and other ai, stealing artworks, having people think less of artists.

Platforms kicking and banning artists left and right.

It feels like being an indie creator is being choked out of possibility. That you have to be born rich and lucky for your creative dreams to come true.

"oh you're just a porn addict its not that bad"

Its not that bad until your stuff is banned.

We had ROE VS FUCKING WADE thrown out the window. You dont think we could have LGBTQA+ rights thrown out too!?

The internet is becoming SO HOSTILE to creatives of all sorts. Its fucking heartbreaking.

Its like we're entering nsfw prohibition of the internet, buy a 160 dollar keychain for a 'free' picture of a dragon fucking a Volkswagen 😭

I can't stand the way antis and antiship-allied people purposely misuse such terms to make themselves sound smarter and "righter", their selfish will to outsmart proshippers with no proper knowledge always leads to an actually harmful misinfo. They use big and serious words wrong to cause strong emotions among those who see their content and to find allies this way, because if they didn't misinterpretate terms to their liking and to their advantage, very little to no people would actually believe in anti rhetoric. Antis misuse terms because their argumentation cannot exist without it, and all their beliefs are built on it from the very core

Antis will purposely call explicit underage fics "*fictional* CSAM/CSEM/CP" to make people believe those ficwriters and enjoyers are actual pedophiles and predators to justify their bullying and harassment

Antis will purposely call any problematic ship dynamic "illegal" to make people believe this stuff is morally wrong to the point you actually can get jailed for it, like for fraud or murder, to make their rhetoric sound morally superior

Antis will purposely call any open proshipper "a sick pedo" and send them rape, assault, doxx and death threats to suppress those who don't agree with their ideas or who condemn their behavior and to turn proshippers into outcasts with no right to speak about shipcourse

And this is NEVER okay

And remember: it's okay to dislike or hate certain ships and dynamics, it's okay to be uncomfortable with them, it's okay to not engage with such stuff and with people who like it, it's okay to block and filter your content and feed

It is never okay, however, to shame, bully, harass and threaten people who engage with stuff you personally don't like

If you are in any online spaces that discuss the morality of fiction or its censorship, please keep the following in mind:

CSAM refers to Child Sexual Abuse Material. This is a term that was created for use by US federal law enforcement. As such, it is important to remember that this is a term used specifically to describe illegal sexual content that is produced involving real children. the term CSAM was specifically constructed to highlight the trauma these victims experience because of this abuse, and therefore their humanity.

if you come across CSAM online, you should immediately report it to a tip line. Some websites that host their servers in the US are subject to US federal law even if the person who posted it does not currently reside in the US, so keep that in mind when reporting. again, this is involving CSAM - it is illegal sexual content involving real children.

CSEM refers to Child Sexual Exploitation Material. This is material that involves a real child in a sexualized situation, but either 1- the material itself is not illegal to possess, or 2- the material is not sexualized, but is included in a series or other content that does contain CSAM. Think along the lines or a parent with a few too many photos of their child in the bath. These images are not explicitly sexual, and are not illegal in and of themselves, but they can be used exploitatively.

If you come across CSEM online, it's still a good idea to send in a tip as well as alerting the website it was posted on. Even if the content itself isn't technically illegal, some websites do have strict rules regarding nudity and the sexualization of minors, which can help stop the spread of such materials and reduce the impact on the affected child.

CSAM and CSEM are words used to describe the assault, abuse, sexualization, and exploitation of real children. CSAM, specifically, is used as a way to identify and remove these materials.

CSAM and CSEM do not apply to fiction. They don't apply to any fictionalized or simulated child abuse or sexualized children. They only refer to real children.

Do not send in tips about fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children to tip lines meant to be used for CSAM.

Do not use the words CSAM and CSEM when discussing fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children. In a worst case scenario, it leads to people misusing tip lines due to a conflation of CSAM with fictionalized depictions.

In a more likely scenario, using CSAM to refer to fiction minimizes what CSAM was created to do - which was highlight the trauma experienced by survivors, and therefore draw attention to their humanity. By continuing to use these terms in situations that do not involve real people, it reduces that impact.

okay guys this is getting out of hand already.

i understand not liking certain medias (the one mentioned being "boyfriends" by refrainbow), i also don't like this one. actually it's more like i'm uninterested in this one. but still, what i mean it's: its fine not liking determined medias. everyone has something they don't like, something that squick them, you know?

what's not fine is promoting their destruction, such as book burning or removing books from libraries because they're... *checks notes* a proshipper book...

banning books because you (general) don't like them is in fact a form of censorship. burning books because you think it's "bad" is a form of censorship.

and it's mostly kids / young teens saying this, it kinda worries me. a lot.

Forever hating how a big portion of the internet is inaccessible to me because of some stupid shit I did at 16.... like do these mega tech corps realize how long "forever" is?

I can't have reddit on my phone. When on pc, I can almost never post or comment and hope it goes through the spam filter and automod. Discord is extremely limited to me and I can't participate in any server that requires phone authentication, which are a lot of big (official) servers.

I can already hear people complain "hurr durr, you don't need reddit and discord to survive", but can we at least recognize how fucked up it is to permanently lock people out of such big parts of the internet, especially with no way to appeal? I kinda jokingly sent an appeal for a 4 year old ban recently and they still rejected me, though I doubt a human even looked at it.

On top of that, discord and reddit nowadays are huge sources of information. Yes, they both have their dark and grim sides, but also a lot of information and communication goes through there. And I can't access that ever again because of some stupid shit I did at 16. Tell me that's not censorship and tech corps going on a power trip.

💀 So, I tried Aethy today... 🤔

At first glance, it's quite a nice site, bit of a mix between Tumblr ^ Twitter, nice layout, quite intuitive, and the community seems nice enough.

However, there are two(ish) things that stood out to me and made me decide to not stick with it and not recommend it.

First, they allow AI art, and though it has to be labelled, there is so much that it floods the timeline. Fun fact, I don't see much AI on Tumblr apart from the bot invasions of certain tags from time to time. on the few hours I spent on Aethy, one post out of three was AI generated. That is just too much, it means a lot of users are using AI and posting that there, and as an artist that makes me feel quite unwelcomed.

Second, while I appreciate how the content warnings are implemented, something gave me pause: alterhumanity was considered a sensitive topic. Mind you, religion was too, but no other identity was. And that felt... off. Religion and beliefs can be sensitive subjects because of trauma yes, but censoring an identity that isn't spiritual in nature feels off. Then there's also the whole "all kinks, even the weirdest ones" while banning pro-para, like... Kinks are paraphilias? That makes no sense.

And I think I might have an idea why.

I wanted some opinions, so i looked it up online.

And I discovered that Aethy's mod team was deleting criticism and banning people who posted it, and answered quesries about it very rudely and with more banning. Then I discovered that mods are saying that pro-para is a label used by abusers, so everyone who uses that label must be an abuser. That makes no sense, and sounds like people who campain for censorship online saying that predators use profiction communities so the whole community grooms children.

In conclusions, the mods' rules are vague to let them moderate by personal liking rather than abiding by "safe community for adults who enjoy kink".

So yea, would not recommend it.

it’s okay to be uncomfortable with dark themes, it’s okay to not like dark themes, it’s okay to not want to be around someone who does like dark themes, but harassing someone over it is bonkers

antis are so strange.

how do you harass someone over fiction, imply that liking dark themes in fiction = you’ll recreate them in real life, TELL PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES OVER FICTION, and much much more, but still think that you’re the normal ones??

if you love censorship go to procensorship sites bro

Being a pro censorship ao3 user is so insanely cringe. Either use the (incredibly effective and well designed) filtering system to avoid seeing the shit you don't like or stop complaining. Leave the pro censorship rhetoric to Wattpad or smth

Yes! Be fun, creative and at least educated with fandom commoners, ignorance is the worst when you deal with art. If you don't like something then ignore it. Media puritanism is veiled censorship!

💙 It's okay to make self inserts, Mary Sues and overly powerful original characters!

☄️ It's okay to write self indulgent fanfiction!

💙 It's okay to selfship with any character you'd like!

☄️ It's okay to portray a character differently than how they behave in canon!

💙 It's okay to ship whatever you want!

☄️ It's okay to dislike popular ships and fan interpretations, just be kind to others!

💙 Fandom is meant to be fun! Do whatever makes you happiest and have fun!!

Watching Arcane and let me say this:

Silco x Jinx

Technically it's a dark ship because of the power imbalance and they met when she was a kid

But I also like:

Jayce x Viktor

God, I'm obsessed with Jinx x vi and Silco x Jinx

"we shouldn't normalize writing about rape, age gap, or other illegal things!"

Then we should normalize not writing stuff about murder, child abuse, etc.

"that's different-"

No it's not! murder is illegal, so is stuff like child abuse, so we shouldn't talk about it and put it in any type of Media.

"I'm just saying that because that type of media could make people think that stuff is okay irl!"

Then ban all horror movies. I mean really don't want people going on murder springs, do we?

"but-"

We should also get rid of violent video games. Because we don't want real people to get violent. Right?

"..."

Do you hear yourself buddy? If people like watching horror movies that doesn't make them support murder, That's the same if people like reading about rape does it mean that they support actual rape.

I'm out this bitch ✌🏾 (I'm also tired as shit! So excuse my wording..)

i will never forgive the internet for making the phrase “fiction affects reality” inherently suspicious because like fiction absolutely does affect reality in the sense that the themes and messages of media can challenge or affirm people’s biases, it can impact one’s ideology, so much of fiction is commentary on real social issues

and yet! everyone who uses the phrase fiction affects reality is using it as a pro-censorship argument and i simply do not fuck with that

Quidditism

Quidditism

Quidditism is an ideology and a movement that seeks to take peaceful action to push the world towards an accepting, tolerant and fully free future, where everyone can thrive without fear.

Quidditism

Why quidditism?

The word 'quiddity' has 2 major definitions. The first one being "whatever makes something what is is, the essence". The movement seeks to establish a world where everyone is allowed to fully embrace themselves and who they truly are. In other words we wish for people to embrace their essence. The second definition of the world 'quiddity' is "deviation from an established pattern or norm, eccentricity". The quidditism movement focuses on marginalised identities such as LGBTQIA+ identities or paraphilias as these people are not allowed, in today's society, to flourish as themselves without fear. In other words, the liberation and normalisation of people considered eccentric, whether it be by their gender presentation, attraction or neurodiversity, is central to our goal.

Emoji Code -🪷💫

Quidditism

Quidditism's core values

Now, let's go over quidditism`s beliefs and summarize them.

Radical Inclusion

Radical inclusion is the first of the values we'll go over. Being a radical inclusionist means accepting all 'good-faith' identities. But what even is a 'good-faith' identity?

There are 2 main criteria for an identity to be of 'good-faith'. The first one being that the identity is genuine, and not taken up to prove a point, to grift, or to be generally disingenuous. In other words, if you genuinely identify with it, this box is checked. The second criteria is the one where controversy arises, It is generally defined as being harmless. However, what is considered harmless may vary from individual to individual. Quidditists generally consider that as long as it doesn't do any real world harm (like taking up limited resources, although it is rare a simple identity can achieve this) and tries it's best to be non-offensive and non-bigoted, the identity is good faith. In other words, identifying as a transvestite because it feels right to you, and while having read up on the terms history is completely good faith, however identifying as the same thing to try and mock trans people isn't.

So, quidditists are radically inclusive: they support any genuine identity that does its best to be harmless.

Paraphilias & Contact

Now, we talked about paraphilias above. A paraphilia is defined as an unconventional sexual attraction. In our day & age, homosexuality isn't considered one, however back when the fight for the LGBTQIA+ community was far less advanced, it was considered a paraphilic disorder.

Wait a second, what even is the difference between a paraphilia and a paraphilic disorder? Nothing except the "disorder' part, aka the factor of "is it causing harm or distress to you or people around you".

However, paraphilias are never inherently considered disorders in quidditism.

Having said that, we consider them the same way as we do kinks and fetishes. They are cousins after all: kink regroups all use of unconventional sexual practises or fantasies while fetishes are a form of sexual desire strongly linked to a particular thing or activity. They overlap a whole lot, don't you think?

In general, we will use these terms interchangeably.

You could summarise quidditism's contact beliefs by "if it is consensual, it's fine", but you would need to define consent for this. So what is consent?

Consent, as a noun, is defined as the permission for something to happen or the agreement to do something. As a verb, it is defined as giving permission for something to happen or to do something.

Additionally, anyone who consents must be able to back out and change their minds at any point before, during or after what they initially consented to without fear of repercussions. They should also feel free to give (or not) their consent in the first place, and not be forced to do so.

There are a few points that we will examine further here.

Firstly, consenting to sex in itself is a complex thing and not just the act of understanding and agreeing, so there must be both a technical understanding of sex along with an emotional understanding of sex for consent to truly be possible.

Secondly, anyone of age and not under the influence can consent before regression, use of substance, sleep or death.

Thirdly, only older teens (16& up) should consent to adults, with proper harm reduction of course.

The thoughts on younger people are still being worked on.

And lastly, animals cannot consent to sexual acts due to not having the cognitive ability and speech for it. Additionally, just because an animal's body enjoys an act does not mean they consented to it, as consent is a clear agreement and acknowledgement, not body language or what you perceive.

Total bodily autonomy

Bodily autonomy is defined as the right to make decisions about your own body, life and future, without coercion or violence. When we say total bodily autonomy, it isn't trivial. In today's world, abortion access and rights are threatened more and more, women are still subject to genitalia mutilation at a very young age in multiple countries, and trans people need to jump through hoops to get gender affirming care. But to us, it doesn't stop there. We want to fight so that everyone has the right to make informed choices on what they do with their body and life, whether that's extreme body modification, gender affirming care, abortion, or just a tattoo.

Anti-psychiatry

Anti-psychiatry is the view that psychiatric treatment can often be more damaging than helpful. Do not the often in the above sentence. So, what does that mean in practise? A few things.

Psychiatric care should be entirely optional. Whether you want to recover with psychiatric help, by yourself or even not al all, you should be given all the necessary information to make that choice for yourself. This ties back in with the last point, total bodily autonomy, and with the next one.

Chosen Recovery

We've spoken about informed total bodily autonomy and what that would mean in psychiatry: the option to seek recovery or not. Here, we are extending this beyond psychiatry. We believe that no matter what you might have that could be recovered from, you should get to choose whether you want to or not. First, we believe that that is your right, and second, we are horrifically aware of the fail rates of forcing someone into recovery: as a general rule of thumb, if someone doesn't want recovery, they won't recover, no matter what you try. That doesn't mean you can't bring the option to their attention, just that ultimately, it is their choice, and theirs alone.

Transhumanism

Following up on all the bodily autonomy related beliefs, we have transhumanism. It is a movement that advocates the enhancements of the human body and condition by developing and making widely available new and future technologies that can greatly enhance longevity, cognition, and well-being. That would include wing or animal ears implants for transspecies folks, to only cite one of many examples.

Realmism

Realmism is an ideology based around the belief in magic and the multiverse. It promotes all faiths and religions, as well as the practise of reality shifting and the right to outlandish, weird, and uncommon beliefs, with an emphasis on being pro-delusion. If you wish to learn more, the entry on transid.org goes into more details.

Existentialism

Existentialism is the philosophical belief we are each responsible for creating purpose or meaning in our own lives. It isn't given to us by an authority. Whether you choose to seek it in faith, the arts, social causes or just your own happiness, it is entirely yours to craft.

Pacifism

Pacifism is a commitment to peace and an oppositioin to violence, war in particular. The quidditism movement believes that unless strictly necessary, violence should never be used, defining it as a last resort. How do we achieve our goals then? Educating.

Punk

Quidditism follows a very punk-ish ethos. The punk ethos is primarily made up of beliefs such as non-conformity, anti-capitalism, anti-authoritarianism, anti-corporatism, a do-it-yourself ethic, anti-consumerist, anti-greed, direct action, and not selling out".

May I ask how is Daddy's Little Toy missunderstod? It's not like Genderqueer where people wanted it to be banned because of transphobia. It's not like that. Daddy's Little Toy is not missunderstod. It's just a book where you supposed to be happy when a girl get's together with her groomer.

It's not a another Lolita. Lolita is not a romanc, and the writer of it did everything ín his power to make shure people know that. He himself was a surviver of CSA. And was a psychologist who showed in the book how awfull people justafy themself, but it's still veary clear that the main character is in the wrong when you read between the lines. Main whaile Daddy's Little Toy is a romance book, that the writer dedicated to her 3 years old dauther. The writer is niether a surviver of CSA, or a psychologist (probably doasn't know anything about it), and you are supposed to like the guy.

Wow 😑

Where the actual fuck did you get your information? 🤨

Let's start with Lolita:

Lolita was written by the Vladimir Nabokov. His life has been extensively documented by biographers and in his own memoirs, and there has never once been any suggestion that he was a victim of CSA

Nabokov was not a psychologist. Indeed, he was known for his strong and complex opinions about psychology. Most notably he openly mocked and rejected Freudian psychoanalysis

Lolita was very specifically modeled after the romance genre

Lolita is indeed written from the perspective of the abuser, but one element you may be missing is that the narrator Humbert does such a good job endearing himself and excusing, minimizing, and justifying his actions, that readers constantly fall into the trap of sympathizing, and even agreeing with him. The very term "Lolita" nowadays is used to mean a sort of precocious seductress because of this.

Continuing on to Genderqueer:

Regardless of their real reasons behind it, critics of Genderqueer always point to one or two panels that depict sexual activity. Taken out of context, they appear shocking and inappropriate. This is exactly what the critics of Daddy's Little Toy are doing. The biggest difference is that the critics actually managed to succeed this time.

And finally, as for Daddy's Little Toy:

Most people would undoubtedly consider Lolita to be the better book, but so what? Are we only allowed to read books about shocking or offensive subject matter if they are well-written? Who decides this? Why does it matter?

You have not read this book. I know that for a fact. You personally have no idea what the book is like. No one does, because the book cannot be found anywhere. You are simply parroting the incendiary claims from TikToks.

I don't fucking care if the book is one long, graphic description of a kindergarten bukkake party. It is fiction. It is not real. No one is harmed by it. It is the easiest thing in the world to avoid reading it. In fact there is no way that you can read it! So why does anyone even care?

I hope that clears things up for you.
