aprhodite, depicted as a woman shaped from water, tending to an injured ares, depicted as a muscular man with maroon skin wearing a bronze helmet. he is covered in wounds big and small, flowing with aphrodite's water which turns red over the wound as her water takes in his blood. the water of Aphrodite is slightly tinged red from all of the blood she's been pulling in from ares' body. behind them are a bunch of weapons depicted in silhouette

My interpretations of Ares and Aphrodite recovering after the war.

I can't get the headcanon out of my head that Phobos is a big papa's boy and Deimos is a mama's boy.

Phobos is the personification of the warriors' fears. What they fight for. They are afraid of losing their loved ones if they lose, so they continue to fight. They are afraid for themselves, so they go on despite the pain. They are afraid for their friends, so they try to fight together.

Only fools are not afraid.

Deimos is the personification of what warriors are willing to do for love. Father need to kill everyone for the safety of his family? He will. Mother need to distract the enemies so that the children can go unnoticed? So be it. Death guarantee peace? Fine.

The influence of the nightmare twins without context is frightening, however, when you start thinking about it from a different angle, you understand that not everything is so simple and clear.

Yeah, about that... :)

Yeah, About That... :)

I just couldn't not draw them)))

For my previous post.

I had an idea that Ares and Aphrodite's rings could have been made from the goddess's old belt. She herself insisted on melting it down into rings as a token of their love.

And now Ares asked her to melt down his ring, since she was "no longer the one he once loved."

🧐Ooh, very warrior of the mind of him. I like it! Ares would definitely know that his Aphrodite knew the significance of those rings.
