Hey, I just recently learned about HSP because I always had the feeling that something is kind of wrong with me and my mother always thought I was highly intelligent. Not sure about this but I identify a lot with HSP I already bought a book about the topic and feel like the tips they give there would help me a lot. But I live with my family and it's kind of impossible to start a routine that would make me feel better because they don't listen to me or believe in HSP it's really frustrating:/
Hi and thankyou for reaching out to me! I know it can be frustrating when other’s do not understand or make the effort to at least learn about the HSP trait. I believe relationships can actually be strengthened when we take the time to learn more about ourselves and others. Unfortunately, this is often not the case and you are not alone. Also, I am learning that being an HSP is not a flaw and HSPs are often creative and gifted! Being a smaller portion of the population, however, HSPs can easily be misunderstood. There are a number of therapists that know about and specialize in working with highly sensitive people. They can determine if you are an HSP and are skilled in this area. There are also many resources available on the topic. I hope I can help point you in the right direction and that you are doing well!

it definitely wasn't intentional, but during that period i used to sketch moral orel characters all the time so it is likely that some elements of their stylization influenced other pieces! anyway it is always interesting to see which associations my art triggers in those who view it, so thank you so much for your message <3

it is interesting because you are not the first person that says that my art reminds them of coraline, despite it never having been one of my references — but i used to love the movie and especially the book as a kid, so it is an honor if my work gets associated with them :) anyway no, I have never created anything coraline-related before, but if you want I’ve made these extremely quick sketches (I would have liked to draw something more elaborated, but unfortunately in this period I have very little time for art and this is the only thing I can offer)

they are for sure lecture notes taken in uni, but they are from two years ago and so i'm not certain about the class they relate to... i see that they mention Pietro Bembo and in the timelapse on my ipad i can read the name of Lionello Venturi in a part that in the final version got covered, so they are very likely notes from a course about the history of art criticism. unfortunately at the moment i do not have the notebook on hand, but this weekend i have to return to my parents' house and there i will see if i manage to find it and to make some decent photos!

I did when I was a teenager, and I remember having liked it a lot!! just the series about the greek gods though, at one point I tried to read the first book about the roman ones but I got bored and I never tried to continue the saga since then

And don't worry, your ask is not rude, on the contrary! I'm more than happy to help - even if I want to specify now that I'm not at all an expert in historical fashion, so please don't believe that the outfits I draw are always 100% historically accurate. Also, almost everything I know concerns Italian Renaissance, so if you need reference for, let's say, German Renaissance I'm afraid I will not be that helpful 😔
Anyway! What I do when I want to draw Renaissance clothes is to look at art history! Luckily the Renaissance is a time where a lot of portrait have been made, and sometimes even religious or pagan artworks can be of help!
For example, for Venice I would search for the portraits by Titian or Giovanni Bellini to start, or also for the paintings by Vittore Carpaccio (the "Storie di Sant'Orsola" cycle is GREAT for outfit references). The same goes for other territories, for example a good start for Florence would be Domenico Ghirlandaio, or for Mantua the "Camera degli Sposi" by Andrea Mantegna and so on for the other cities.
If you don't know that many artist (as is my case when I want to draw someone from a place outside of Italy) you can start researching by finding portraits of the governors of the territory that you want to target! For example, let's say that you want to put a character at the start of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, so you ask yourself (and you ask internet): who was the first Grand Duke? Cosimo I de Medici. Cool, do we have a portrait of him? The first one we find in wikipedia is by Bronzino. Has Bronzino made other portraits? Yes! And you already have some references.
Alternatively, you can look up who were the wife and children of Cosimo, and search for portraits of them.
Some disclaimers about this method are:
Mostly the people who had portraits of them made were noblemen and noblewoman, and they posed wearing their best outfits, so be careful if you want to take them as a reference for common people!
Many times religious or pagan paintings are set in renaissance times in terms of outfits, but they are still stories from another time and age, so I wouldn't be surprised if the artists took a few liberties with the clothes
Then as now, fashion trends changed, so I would keep an eye on the dates in which the paintings were made

I feel some artist do a much better work than mine when researching historical clothes, for example @aph--lietuva draws amazing clothes! If you have instagram, I love the work of toscasam, who always puts a great care in researching the clothes of her characters!

Lastly, I would like to end this post by saying that despite the researches I'm more than willing to take some liberties when I draw. I'm an artist and not an historian, and whenever I feel like I'm limited by the lack of references I don't dwell too much on it and prioritize the completeness of the drawing by adding things from my mind, so don't rely too much on my art if you are looking for historical accuracy!

I'm making slow progress through year 3 but i should be done with my first playthrough in a little while! i just found out in the most ridiculous way that 2 dates in a row at the same location is a bad thing (literally not even my fault though. like i scheduled an amusement park date a few weeks out with madoka and then literally the next day he was like "let's go to the amusement park this sunday!" and like um. ok. impatient much? but what was i supposed to say, no?? lmao~)

okay so . if you bring a boy to the same date location three times over a save file, there are multiple conversations. BUT . if you're at high enough affection AND at the third date conversation, picking what's normally the worst possible option unlocks a special longer conversation that's cute and sweet. or hilarious. or both.

random question are you the type that likes to get into everything unspoiled and does not want any spoilers at all or are u fine with tiny ones (remembered the entire mechanic in tmgs that is very difficult to figure out without knowing it exists and is torn on whether or not to tell u what it is)

typically the only things where it's really important to me to go in completely blind with no spoilers are mystery games, but even then i can still enjoy things with some plot spoilers.

i love that uncomfortable art exists, and i think it serves an important purpose in helping us confront important topics through fiction -- and I like what this modder is doing because I think that Persona (a series that revolves heavily around identity and the idea of a true self) is a great avenue to explore topics of gender. Modding is a type of transformative work, just like fanfiction is -- and like in fanfiction, there are a million different ways you can alter the source material depending on the sort of story you want to tell. It can be fluffy and self-indulgent, it can be an au that genderswaps a character and does nothing else, or it can be a version of the story that explores more realistic or uncomfortable topics if you want.
However, that's not necessarily the experience everyone is seeking when they look for a female protag mod -- not everyone wants the story to change, and not everyone is comfortable with misgendering in a game they're playing for fun. And with the model swap, I totally see how it would feel weird to have a dialogue about how a clearly feminine character looks super masculine or gets called he/him all the time.
It would be cool if there was another mod that meshed better with the fem model so that both could exist and serve separate purposes.
it's ultimately up to the modder what they're going to create, and they're under no obligation to make something that will appeal to everyone, especially since they're doing this for free. So when it comes down to whether to center player comfort or realism, it's honestly just a matter of taste. It depends on what kind of story you're trying to tell, y'know?

ohhh okay. i can kind of understand the intention there then? it makes sense now, knowing the script edits & model edits are separate things.
Without editing the model to look more feminine, it does seem like a more accurate take on living in a small town as a gender non-conforming person. I can't personally speak to what that's like in Japan, but I know how small towns can be in the U.S. at least. So i get what they're probably going for there, and it is kinda interesting, if a bit jarring at first without context.
It's an interesting way to make the mc's gender topical rather than just a casual or cosmetic change. though it is maybe a little uncomfortable as well, it feels like there's a point to it at least rather than just. random he/him-ing out of nowhere.
