ANOTHER paint study because i can always do better.

This was a gorgeous scene and I decided to use a bigger canvas than usual, so naturally this took a while.

here’s some quick 10-15 minute studies I did on episode 2 :)) I don’t really like them very much but oh well

RANT BELOW:

one thing I noticed and loved about this episode was the EXTREME AMOUNT of detail in which is present and the LACK of mention. I am appalled by the amazingness of this episode.

One interesting comparison I found was the scenes with Chiaki and Mizu when she was a kid and when she is an adult.

In both meetings, Chiaki knocks Mizu to the ground.

BUT

the second time she gets pushed down, she stays down. Of course, Chiaki must’ve remembered the time he knocked her down as a kid, so he knew she would stay down. Of course, his foolishness lead to one of THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED AND SHOT scene (in my opinion). And he dies. (loser)

So anyway, sorry for the rant on something that was probably obvious.
