SEE THIS @netflix
Just to prove a point to @netflix how many of you would watch a Six of Crows spinoff show?
I feel like the only acceptable adaptation of AFTG would be a sports anime. It's the only medium that could match the intensity of Neil's inner monologs and not make it look completely ridiculous.
Also, when was the last time you saw a straight sports anime?
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of courseπ«‘
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyleβs canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall seriesβ or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as Iβd started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather themπ§ββοΈ
This doesnβt have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I donβt really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
I did a thing π Check it out if you're interested in writing, videogames, novels, stories, or just want to see me doing public speaking for the first time π
and pop culture is still so much fun. especially when comics and books get adapted into shows and movies. watching them and cross referencing with the source material, then seeing how well/poorly the source material was translated.
loving the bombello Γ concetta video! Best that could have been... sigh...
Thank you very much, my dear. This couple has entered my "hall of tragic romances" along with Edith and Thomas from "Crimson Peak" (I really have a soft spot for this kind of plot).
What makes me most indignant is how Concetta, who was offered the proposal by her own COUSIN, Tancredi, to be his LOVER and she is still in love with him! He even had the nerve to ask "how were they?" as soon as Bombello set foot outside... MY SON, YOU ARE MARRIED! LET CONCHETTA BE HAPPY AND MARRY THE ONE WHO REALLY LOVES HER. And Bombello was not just a man who loved her, no... he was the MAN who LOVED her regardless of the Corbera's financial situation not being so good, even though the Corbera family did not approve of their union and wanted him out of there. He waited 2 years to marry her, swallowed his pride and lost her to a man who didn't "want her enough and wouldn't let anyone else want her".
Even though I had read the book and knew that this story would go nowhere, I was disappointed. In the end, Concetta is the Leopard and "reigns" through her brother Francesco, a Puppet Prince, and parades through the family's plantations at sunset as if they still had some power, lost due to the decline of the monarchy and a false speech of freedom and that she had finally built something "hers".
It would have been better if she had become a Nun, that way she would contribute more since she wanted to have a role in society.
Anyway, in my head, Concetta and Bombello meet again years later, get married and have lots of babiesπ₯Ήπ

For me, after Bombello leaves, he and Concetta meet again years later and get married. Happy endingπ₯Ήπ

Coraline in theaters today! Will you watch it?
Beautiful Blue balloon Lyrics:
I always live in a dream world
Because I'm a scientist
My talk is futuristic,
It's lunatic
I always live in a dream world
I have the soul of an artist
I'm a dreamy genius
And romantic
I always live in a dream world
Because I'm an adventurer
Since my first step
To infinity
I always live in a dream world
