At the gate for my flight home from visiting friends and there's a woman here with a service Shiba Inu. No pics because he has a Do Not Disturb vest and taking pics of strangers is illegal but I need to stress how ON DUTY this animal is. Ears up. Eyes doing Lazer scans of everything. Examining everyone who passes within 10ft like a security guard. Ass planted on her feet. I have never seen a dog with such intense chivalric guardian energy before. He has tiny eyebrows and they are FURROWED with concentration.
also tangentially related to my last post - someone i worked with years ago told me about this thing she always tried to do. she said that every so often, when she's with a friend, she let's a stranger 'overhear' a compliment. she'll go to the shop and, as she's walking away from the till, she'll say something like 'that cashier was so lovely, weren't they?'. or she'll wait until someone walks past and say 'gosh didn't they look gorgeous in that dress' or 'their hair looks amazing' or 'wow that person's tattoos were so intricate - beautiful'.
and it really stuck with me. imagine walking past someone and overhearing them say 'that outfit really suits them!' to their friend. imagine choosing to shine a little light into the world for no other reason than because you think it's a nice thing to do.

Some silly little thoughts I’ve been cooking
Little fun fact about me, I’m currently studying Human Development and Family Studies with the intent to hopefully become a Marriage and Family counselor one day. Because of this, there’s a lot of cool classes I get to take that all interlock one way or another. One of those classes I’m currently taking is “The Body, Sexual Intimacy, and The Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
And this week, we had a discussion about how body image is directly related to sexual satisfaction. Mainly in the fact that high positive body image relates to greater sexual satisfaction over longer periods of time.
As someone who has somewhat always struggled with having positive views about her body, this was somewhat of a blow for me. I mean it makes sense, but I felt somewhat disheartened to hear that how I viewed myself really could adversely affect those special moments with a further partner. Not going to lie, felt a little hopeless about it. Then one comment was shared about one possible way to help overcome low body image beliefs about yourself that really stuck with me, and I wish to share it y’all.
That thought was that if you can not love your body right now, that’s ok. You don’t have to love your body, but you can learn to be grateful about what your body can and already does for you. Simple thing, but it really changed my perspective on how I want to view myself. So just want everybody to know that this is the type energy I’m attempting to adopt when it comes to my life and my body image.

My husband’s job primarily employs adult men but there is one (1) teenage girl and my husband said originally he worried she might be a bit of an outcast but instead every man on the crew was like “huh guess I am a dad/older brother now.”

Reasons to Stay
The demons were getting pretty dark yesterday.
My head wasn’t really a safe place.
I think heaven knew I needed some help because outta nowhere I remembered that I had a voucher for one free meal at a food truck nearby.
Found the place and stood in line behind a French lady, while we watched a Venezuelan Woman struggle to make her order in English to a college kid running the fan. It was wholesome to watch that despite the language barrier and the somewhat confusing hand gestures as they tried to communicate, the young man was still able to help the lady get her order, and she walked away with a big smile because she got some yummy food. I then watched a gentleman who was running the wood cooked pizza truck talking with the family running the Thai And Boba truck and talking about swapping leftovers once everybody left. I thought it was sweet that despite the differences there at the food trucks, no matter our cultures, languages, or background, none of these things prevented a small group of people to come together because of the enjoyment of food. I got to eat fresh sushi, sit in the cool grass, with a perfect blue sky as my view.
The new Transformers movie is coming out in a couple weeks. Wild Robot too. Those look interesting.
My roommate knew me well enough to give me a hug cuz she knew I was having it rough.
So yeah, it was a good day.
I think I’ll stick around for just a little longer. 🌱🧡
