Aburame: Tattoo Shop AU | DLC This is basically an additional addon to @kankuroplease's own AU. So thank her for all the good content she brings!

The Family

Occupationally Speaking. Many within the Aburame Family have taken to working with the dead as morticians or as hitmen. Usually though they'll work in teams where one is the hitmen and the other the mortician.

Some within the family have even gone to use their knowledge of insects to help expedite the process of getting rid of the bodies. Though it does help that they collectively own quite a few crematories and some graveyards too.

Also. They run a few of the garbage disposal places. Basically they are where you go to when you need to get rid of something.

Since the family makes it's living off the dead. Many find it to be creepy. Since ya know- death.

They work with both the Uchiha and Hyuga, they are a neutral ground kind of family as no matter what happens. They ofc will always be there waiting to take the dead. By their own hands or gifted.

Sometimes if the pay is good enough they'll even help smuggle things- people to wherever they're needed to be.

There are different syndicates of the family. Approximately six, they try to confuse the law by doing this and if one needs to go down they can easily replace it with another branch head.

Amongst the clan these branches are known by. Bikōchū, Kidaichū, Kikaichū, Kochū, Rinkaichū, and Shōkaichū.

The Aburame numbers always seem to stay the same amongst the gang. It isn't really obvious how many people they may or may not have.

Public schooling for the kids. Most don't even know the Aburame are in charge since they have those syndicates and what not. Though some of the higher ups kids do go to private schools. But most of the time it's all public.

The Crew

Shibi Aburame

Another childhood friend of Mikoto's but she didn't need to kick his butt for them to become cool.

Use to be a hitter but after having Shino he decided he rather work with disposing of the bodies instead of making the hits himself. Keeps him closer to home and gives him a cover up.

Met his girl in school too. Makes the off handed joke to Fugaku that he didn't need his ass kicked to know he found the one he liked. He just needed a ear full.

His wife does know of the business, he tries to make sure she and their children stay out of it. But unluckily for him Shino has joined them after seeing his adoptive brother and his father tending to a work incident.

Shino Aburame

Is going to college to become an entomologist. But is also trying to partake in the family business because he hates to see father and brother suffer alone.

In addition the way the family uses insects to decompose of the bodies gives him the ability to study them much more closely. (Shibi breathes a sigh of relief that his son is just as weird about bugs as his mother is.)

Torune Aburame

As his father, Shikuro, is often locked up for one reason or another. Torune has taken to staying with Shino's family. Unofficially adopted by them basically.

His side job is being a tattoo tech for one of his cousins. But disposal is his primary source of income when he isn't sleeping on Shibi's couch- much like his father tries to do when he isn't locked away.

Shikuro Aburame

Is alive and well in this. But is locked up and keeps getting locked up. He's practically the family fall man after an incident with his adoptive brother having thrown him under the bus.

Muta Aburame

Far off distant cousin to Tatsuma and Torune. Muta is also Torune's hand in crime as the two often are partnered up.

When he isn't working with Torune, Muta is often tending to his silk worms. He often uses them for craft works.

Tatsuma Aburame

Personal guard to the current family head Takeo.

Chews a lot of bubble gum. Uses a cigar case to carry his gum packs.

Yōji Aburame

Best marksmen out of the main family.

Takeo Aburame | Oc

Has been in charge of the family since he was fifteen. Inherited the position from his Aunt.

Wishes to pass on the title to his son already but knows he would get bored if he didn't keep it. He's far too use to the excitement the job brings and as much as he enjoys making teapots in his spare time. He finds that life in charge more fulfilling.

My Hero Academia AU: Road Trip

An Ambush Simulation Prequel

I am a little ashamed that this one was in progress for so long and I have only three pages to show for it, but I got so burned out with it that I just thought, "Damn, I'm done." So sadly I'm wrapping up Road Trip as a slice-of-life brief.

I bit off a little more than I could chew and found out I have zero interest in drawing vehicles the hard way. Still, I'm happy with how Shimura's motorcycle turned out.

Little Turtle

At the age of 11, Luigi started losing his eyesight and became blind within one year.

Luigi is 24 now and lives with his twin brother Mario.

On his way home from university, Luigi reached their backyard and stopped in his tracks as he heard Mario... 'cursing'?

"Mario, are you alright?!" the younger twin shouted, ready to open the gate, as he stopped.

"Lu, you're home already? Wait, wait, wait, don't come in! There is a huge animal somewhere!" Mario sounded nervous.

Luigi paused. "A huge animal?"

"Y-yeah! Maybe you'd better take another walk until I get everything under control!"

That was weird, Luigi thought, but okay. He could come back later... at that, he closed the fence, ready to head anywhere else but stopped in his tracks, when he felt a warm breeze at the back of his head and neck...

Luigi's hands shook ever so slightly. This was no breeze. Someone or something stood behind him, breathing in his neck.

"H-hey." the young man started. "A-Are you the one m-my brother is talking about?" He turned around, slowly, his knees shaking like jelly.

"Do you mind if I take a look of you? ...I mean not look - look, I obviously can't see you, but I mean -" he held up his hands. "I can 'look' at you with my hands... if that's alright with you, that is..."

A short silence, then a snuffle can be heard, and for Luigi, it feels like permission. The young man smiled and reached out.

Something warm and soft brushed against his fingertips, and he gasped.

"Ah. There you are."

Mario was searching for anything he could use as a weapon... how could this be?!

He was cleaning the living room - what he hated, but was forced to do since he lived with his blind brother.

The last time Mario decided to clean the floor 'later' , Luigi almost broke his arm.

Inside their home, Lu was swift on his feet. He knew where everything was, knew how many steps between every single piece of furniture were. And that day, he walked fast as always and fell hard over a box Mario left there on the floor. Thank the stars nothing worse happened, but Lu was forced to wear a cast for weeks nonetheless.

While cleaning, Mario took a look out of the window, and there he saw it.

A giant... Teenage... Mutant... Ninja... Turtle... thingy in the middle of their small piece of lawn. Mario freaked out and ran into the kitchen - looking for a knife or anything else he could use, while having his cellphone tugged between ear and shoulder.

The line beeping...

Mario cursed.

Then... did he just hear Luigis' voice?!! From the backyard???!!!

He had to get him away from there! So he yells at him to take another walk.

The line is still beeping....

Mario grabbed the knife and ran back into the living room. Taking another look at the garden, he panicked when he saw his baby-bro in the claws of this THING! Fighting for... his life? .... squishing the face of this... creature... thing...

Mario burst out of the door, screaming in horror.

"LU!!! NO!!!!!"

Luigi carefully touched the face in front of him. It was not human, that he could say at first touch. It was huge. Soft. He couldn't stop himself, and he squished the huge muzzle. The creature didn't flinch. Then he heard his brother behind him, screaming in horror.

"It's fine, Mario! He's nice. And I'm almost done here! Luigi stroked over the big creatures nose and felt something... smoll and even softer than the rest of the face... A scar?

"Ah!" Luigis face lit up. Could it be? After all these years... how! Why?

"Is that YOU, my little Turtle?!"

"'Little Turtle'?" Mario asked, dumbfounded.

And the line was still beeping...

Luigi turned the direction he thought Mario to be. He beamed.

"I told you about him! Don't you remember? Back when I fell down the street drain!"

Luigi was 12 and just lost his eyesight completely. He had a very hard time and ran from home after an argument with his parents. Of course, he got lost immediately. The rain was pouring, and he fell down a barely secured street drain.

Down there, he crouched against the wall, trying to ignore the pain in his head from his fall, crying his eyes out. The other moment, Luigi heard another sound... whining?

The boy held his breath, trying to listen over the loud splashing water. Again.

"Hello?" Luigi crawled in the direction of the sound. "Do you need help? Are you lost too?" The next thing he felt was something hard. A... shell? A Turtle? "Are you hurt?" Luigi pet it carefully, searching for anything that might feel like injuries. He felt the animal shiver and whine under his fingers. "Don't worry, my little Turtle. I'll take care of you." There was a deep scratch close to the 'nose' and an open wound on its leg. The boy took off his scarf and tied it around the wound, then he took the animal on his lap. Under his hand, he felt... horns? And... hair??? Also, the little 'Turtle' was bigger than expected... odd.

Luigi talked to the little creature for hours, rocking them both until they fell asleep.

Hours later, Luigi was found by some workers. He must have slept for some time now, and when he woke, the turtle was gone...

"I told you about him back then!" Luigi explained.

Mario looked at him in disbelief. "Mum and Dad always said you hit your head down there! Or you were too old for an imaginary friend... HOW do you know it's him?"

At that, Luigi went silent. "I just know it..." Then the younger twin felt something tug his hand...

Mario gasped loudly. The giant 'turtle' opened Luigi's hand and laid something inside.

Luigi felt some sort of cloth.

"Lu!" Mario shouted, excited. "That's it! That's the scarf you lost back then!"

Someone picked up the phone...

"Animal Control. What can I do for you?"

AU idea

Transformers au where everything is the same but for some reason cybertronians find humans completely adorable, like how we see kittens and puppies. Example; human suddenly sneezes, queue all present bots letting out a collective “awwww”.

Superhero AU where Janus was born with the snake eye, a chilling evil laugh, and a talent for scheming and everyone was side-eyeing him his entire life waiting for his debut into villainy, only he decided it was too much work and went to design school and he's basically Edna Mode, but for villains.

(actually, let's make it funnier, Roman was straight up born with superpowers, but he decided to follow his heart and pursue fashion, now he and Janus are rivals in the arena of supers costume design, which plays out as a textbook hero/nemesis dynamic, just minus the actual fighting)

(Like, it's basically Megamind but if they both went to art school...)

OKAY HEAR ME OUT I GOT AN IDEA. So we all know that Walburga would get absolutely furious whenever she saw Sirius receiving a letter from an owl,knowing its from one of his "dirty,traitor friends" so she would get furious at him and punish him even though it wasn't really his fault. Sirius never really told the rest of the Marauders cause he didn't want to worry them, but they understood that they should only write to him sparsely. One time, James sent a whole ass broom as a gift to Sirius, and it arrived a few days after Sirius had run away from the house. Fortunately, Regulus took notice of the owl before his parents did and decided to send it back to the Potter household, not without writing a letter, first absolutely cursing Potter. James didn't expect Regulus to bring the broom back let alone write and he got so shocked by just how beautiful Siriu's little brother's handwriting is and his flowery choice of words even while writing an angry letter. And BOOM letter correspondence and then they fell in love

okay i know i have a serious problem with coming up with au ideas then doing nothing with them, but i swear this one is still a cool idea that i might actually do something more with in the future.

with that being said, here's my idea for an undead monster au!

the concept takes place after the neutral ending. a month after basil and sunny take their own lives, aubrey ends up taking her own as well. after that, kel isn't far behind.

hero, now the last of the six remaining, ends up being pushed past his breaking point after kel's death, and just ever so slightly loses it due to overwhelming guilt and regret. he proceeds to spend the next fifteen or so years continuing his medical studies whilst also delving way too deep into ancient rituals and rumors of dark magic, all to find out how to bring everyone back and correct what he sees as his egregious, unforgivable mistakes. and eventually, he's successful! much to the dismay of the newly revived!

- sunny is brought back as a ghoulish zombie, missing a good number of his organs due to an in-depth embalming process. he's unable to breath or speak, and has a hard time getting around due to general sluggishness.

- mari is brought back as an incorporeal ghost, due to being near completely decayed by the time hero started preserving their bodies. she's unable to physically interact with the physical world whatsoever.

- basil is brought back as a sorta steampunk cyborg zombie. with brass clashing with flesh and a ticking clock instead of a heart, he ends up dealing with a lot of chronic pain and stiffness.

- kel and aubrey's corpses were. both in really bad shape. aubrey had a natural burial, speeding up the decaying process, and kel had thrown himself into traffic. both bodies alone were near unusable. however, they did nearly fill in the missing pieces of the other... so hero decided the best course of action would be to bring them back by frankensteining them together with a few stray pieces from other corpses here and there. their minds and souls are only partially melded together as a result. while there may be moments they act as two people rather than one, any emotions or thoughts are shared across both sides, making the inevitable arguments very complicated... anyone who knows me well should not be surprised i included this fusion in this au as well.

This made me realize I’m really lacking on proxy bonding (besides Kate and Toby) cuz I don’t want people to think they’re ALL just misery and fighting. They just show affection in more subtle ways. SO I WILL BE UPPING MY TIM/TOBY/BRIAN/KATE JOYFUL ANTICS SOON. In the meantime . I have a few old drawings of them being happy and messing around .

said it in a few text posts BUT tim taught Toby to drive and taught Toby a lot of car stuff, which is Very important cuz toby ends up becoming a mechanic in my AU . I think they do a lot of stuff like that together - tim and Brian teaching Toby a lot of stuff his dad failed to teach him, and I think they also have a better grasp on like… gender? Like Toby’s dad was really cruel to his family about gender roles, especially toby “being a pussy” and “needing to man up” and getting pissed if he caught Toby doing any “female chores” for his sister/mom . But then Tim and Brian are teaching him how to garden in the back yard and they’ll buy a box of shitty cheap cookie mix and ask toby to make it cuz they’re tired and half the time when Toby says something sexist (more so smth engrained in him like “I’m not a fucking chick don’t tell me what to do”, not smth out of hatred for women. JUST TO CLARIFY.) they’re like “toby what are you talking about” . So having like actually masculine role models who, ILL ADMIT IT HERE THEY ARENT GREAT THEYVE KICKED TOBYS ASS (and vice versa, the violence goes both ways), are typically more understanding of his situation, who don’t mock or kick him when he’s down, trust that he’s actually strong enough to handle himself, teach him important life skills, pat his back when he needs it, tell him they’re proud of him . etc etc. I think it means a lot to Toby. I like to think he finds himself modeling himself after them, even though he(and everyone else) insists they’re also assholes who think they’re better than the rest . N he really misses them when they ditch Alabama

Had a silly idea that I thought you might enjoy so! Tobirama meets Kurama at some point, probably pretty young, learns Kurama's name. And well, since Kurama has RAMA in his name he may as well be one of them right? So something something Kurama ends up being Tobirama's big brother, and Kurama recognizes Asura in Hashirama, so Hashi is kinda HIS big brother. Maybe even takes a human form. And if this eventually leads to getting MadaIndra a person well....

Tobirama was too young to be out alone he knew, mother was going to be angry when she heard but it would take a while – if it wouldn’t have then Tobirama would never be out here to begin with! (Tobirama was very, very glad that he wasn’t a woman, nothing seemed as scary to Tobira as pregnancy after watching his mother labor to bring his brother into the world and the subsequent losses in the birthing since. Not that Tobirama was supposed to know that he might have had a sister, it wasn’t like anyone told them but Tobirama could feel it; just like he could feel that mother wasn’t strong enough to carry the child, not after Ita’s birth. Ita was only one and it was far too soon but Father hadn’t cared and mother wanted a girl and the healers were ignored – Tobira could have told them that was a bad idea.) It…hurt to feel the small chakra fade, but Tobirama had known she would; had felt the way that the chakra hadn’t fully taken hold and he had known it wasn’t time for his sister to be born one way or another – but knowing that didn’t make mother’s pain and wavering health and Father’s turmoil any easier too bare and for once Tobira just wanted some time to himslef.

 ….But, um, maybe, maybe, he hadn’t really intended to end up here, the child thought as he looked up and up and up at the huge red being in front of him; the blazing chakra signature so strong Tobirama could taste it and it blotted out everything else even when the chakra person got a little smaller and a red eye as big as he was looked intently at him, scanning Tobira like he was something interesting and possibly tasty. Which, Tobira should probably warn him, “I don’t taste good” the child chirped gravely “’m all funny and odd and covered in spiky things.” He paused, thought and added “And I bite back.” there was a deep rumbling sound in front of him, like a landslide in the spring, and it took Tobira a moment to realize that the being was laughing. Which, fair, it was very big and he was still very small, his biting wouldn’t mean much to a creature like this; but still, Tobira very much meant his threat and set his small hand on his hips as he lowered the red eye with his sharpest glare. “Now that’s not nice! I may be little but someday I will be bigger and my teeth are very sharp!” he snapped, trying his best to copy mothers sharp snarls that made even Father set back on his heels.

The being laughed again and lifted its lips, showing Tobira a sharp white tooth as it rumbled “And mine as sharper – and as tall as you are, little cub.” But Tobira was distracted, eyes fixed on the sharp teeth the same shape as his and mother’s and Kawa’s (even Ita’s were a little sharper than normal), this being had his teeth and red eyes like him and his chakra felt even brighter and sharper than Hashi’s with the same echo that Hashi had. Tobira didn’t know what this being was but he stepped carefully on to something red and soft to get close enough to see the big tooth clearly, firing off question after question at the being and slowly forming a hypothesis in his head until the bemused sounding being answered that its name was “Kurama” and everything clicked into place. Tobirama straightened and his eyes got very big, “Kurama? Rama? Like Hashirama? Or Tobirama? Or Kawarama? Or Itama?” the being seemed to hesitate and Tobirama went on “You have our name and teeth and Hashi’s chakra, so you must be mine, right? You’re a rama!” something stunned resonated out of the being, Tobirama’s oldest brother.

 There was a long pause as the big red eye stared at him incredulously – not that Tobirama noticed, too busy trying to figure out why he had never realized before that he had another sibling and why Father had let them out of the compound. “Did Father yell at you?” the tiny speck of white asked Kurama, deeply serious, “Is that why you left and haven’t been around?” ‘cuse he would get that, Tobirama wished he could run away when Father started yelling and if he was big enough he would have, no question. There was a long, long pause and then his big sibling spoke, “You – you do realize that I’m not human don’t you?” Kurama seemed oddly hesitant about asking that, and also a little like he was concerned about Tobirama’s brain which was a bit mean. The tiny child pout up at the giant being, small lip pushed out and tiny hands on his hips, “Of course.”The idiot was heavily implied “But neither is Akane-nee or Akira-hime or Ingolf-nii but they are as much family as those of use stupid enough not to have fur!” Because honestly, he might have only just gotten his summons recently but he had lived with his mother’s maned wolf summons long enough to know better than to think that they were anything other than pack – and they didn’t even have -rama names!There was a long pause as the huge red eye stared at him and Tobirama turned the problem over in his head, “I guess you are a bit big to fit in the compound so maybe that’s why you left, but you have nine tails so you should be able to fit yourself in now!” then a thought occurred to him about the stories o-baa-sama told him and Hashi and his eyes got big “Wait, you have nine tails! That means you can turn into a pretty lady right? So mother does have a daughter already! She’s just forgotten! So this way she can stop trying for a girl and getting sick!” it might have been a trick of perspective, but Tobirama would have sworn that the big red eye softened and then suddenly his big-sibling snorted all at once, blowing some trees over as he did and in a great woosh! He was suddenly a lot smaller and she-er, abruptly a pretty girl of early puberty with hair as white as Tobirama’s and straight as Hashi’s in a long princess cut, though her eyes were purple-red in her pretty pale face and one long tail swished under her robes. “Well” said his new nee-sama, brushing her long nailed hands over her pale robes and looking amused “lets go see the rest of the family then, hm?”

(Kurama thought it would be amusing to play with the humans and- honestly- he was….interested in this little kit that was so brave and so aching and so insistent that they were family- how long had it been since anyone called him that?-. She didn’t anticipate meeting Asura-nii in this small, blurred form, his soul oddly fuzzy and strange in a way that worried Kurama. She didn’t anticipate caring about the siblings, all four of them, and respecting their mother as much as she disliked their father- not that Butsuma could do shit with a kitsune watching him- and hadn’t intended to get invested in them and their training. She certainly didn’t anticipate Asura-nii meeting Indra-nii who’s soul was fractured and aching as Asura-nii’s was blurred and blind; she never foresaw the way Tobirama tripped and fell head first in love with Indra-nii but she couldn’t think it was a bad thing and something very old and tired in Kurama perked up at the thought of finally finding Indra-nii his person after all these centuries. Now, how to follow through and get Indra-nii’s attention on Tobirama as well as fixing both her erstwhile brother’s mutilated souls and figure out how they had gotten that way; luckily fixing the war was easier, as soon as his brothers took control of their clans she could just wander into every skirmish and lay down in the middle until the clans got the message. No one would be dumb enough to fight on a bijuu – well, no one other than Tobirama but he was….a little unhinged, and Kurama meant that as lovingly as possible ((after all, Tobirama was the space between doors and liminal places were never quite…right, beautiful, beautiful and terrible, but not quite…stable)).)

So for the sake of specificity I’ve been calling him “Marze” whenever I refer to the in-dream version of Basil, Same naming convention as (Hikik)Omori, but don’t be mistaken, Marze is not an individual like Omori is, Marze is a costume- just the suit that Basil wears while venturing the horrors of his mind, Marze is merely how Basil conforms himself to the world of Marzenie, none of the characters there are really human so it’d be out of place if Basil himself was (this can be viewed as a form of self-dehumanizing on Basil’s part but it’s mostly for the artists sake- the meta explanation is just as important as the in-world one)

Now for the design itself:

maybe the symbolism here is really obvious but I wanna explain it anyway, the Deer parts (antlers and legs) are representative of Basil’s general personality as a whole- he’s skittish and vulnerable yes but when forced deer do fight back, an idea that’s very important to Marzenie given it displays Basil LITERALLY fighting to survive against his inner struggles, that and the creator (me) really likes deer … so there’s that

Otherwise, the wings are Moths wings, which seems like it’s a really simple connection to Sunny and the idea that Moths are drawn to light but it’s a little more literal in Marzenie because it’s not just that Sunny is Basils sun in a metaphorical way it’s that in Marzenie he actually IS, in the world of Marzenie there is a Sun-God character that is very obviously just Sunny, which is both about bit about Basil’s view of Sunny as someone without flaw but also about just how much Basil relies on him… or rather the IDEA of him

Sun-God-Sunny is a very important presence in Marzenie because it’s his very absence that’s made Marzenie what it is, returning to that Map art I made for a moment here

Within Marzenie it’s not just that Sunny is a god but that he’s a dead/‘sleeping’ god, and in his absence the world has become cold and dark (which necessitates that lantern in the desgin above)

Yes Basil had issues before the incident but having friends and having SUNNY made that bearable and something he could have gradually put behind him, being abandoned so suddenly in such a traumatic way has thrown Basil’s mind into a state of eternal darkness, the world of Marzenie is cold and dark and dangerous, and all of this is the most literal possible representation of the damage Sunny’s absence has inflicted on Basil’s mental state

Sunny’s character in Marzenie being the Sun god is also why the center of it and the beginning of the journey is a church, the only hope Basil has anymore is that Sunny will return and they can be friends again, so he’s build an alter in his mind dedicated to this hope, this prayer

Also religious imagery is fun <3, also it’s a parallel to the church of something and how Basil’s house is at the center of Vast forest (and thus the center of Sunny’s mind, they center their places of safety around each other, even if for Basil that place is a tiny candlelit alter in the center of a dark woodland while for Sunny that Place of safety is EVERYTHING in his mind, so vastly different and yet sort of the same <- does any of this make sense? Probably not, who cares, it’s my AU and I WILL ramble as much as I like ok)
