You're a human in this and not the traveler
Cyno
Platonic
He's such a home slice home bread
Like you'll be chilling when all of a sudden he spits the worst pun you've ever heard, it'll leave you in tears and on the floor sobbing when he tries to explain it on a quantum level.
You'll probably be a forest watcher, traveler or part of the Akademiya to see him in work mode, in which he's less funny but will probably turn to you after absolutely wholloping some guys and make a dumbass pun. Cue Tighnari's pun senses tingling and he cringes in pain and sympathy to whoever has heard it.
Cyno's extremely caring though, and although he may not show it outwardly at work it's the little things when he's in work mode that show it.
He gives you tips and explanations of things you may not understand constantly, so the next time you'll be prepared, mainly in the desert.
Brings extra water and makes sure you're hydrated, even if you're from the desert and know it well, he also makes sure to give breaks if you're beginning to slow down. Especially if you're the type of person to pretend your fine when you're not.
Will 100% bring you to meet Tighnari and Collei if you haven't already, he has high respect for them and wants a wider audience for his jokes.
He greatly respects your decisions and opinions, however, Cyno tends to state this matter of factly and won't sugar coat. If he has any issues he won't be afraid to say it outright.
Romantic
Imagine as friends but more outwardly affectionate. He's not gonna snuggle up to you and do intense pda or anything, it's more lovingly staring and smiling when it's just you two or when it's with close friends.
Makes puns about and with you, no matter how you crumble in pain when he does, you will probably burst out laughing because it's him.
He's very sweet in a relationship, and although he works a lot, he does try taking more breaks so he can make sure you're okay. However, work is important to him and he won't take long time off, you shouldn't expect him to drop everything for you as much as he'd like to.
Tends to check for injuries whenever you come home if you're an adventurer or anything like that, may accidently treat you like a colleague during this, but it shows he cares a lot.
Makes little snacks and lunches when you go away if you work, or just if you tend to forget to eat when he's away. They can be tasteless and somewhat disgusting depending on what you like, but he's so used to them on missions he tends to not realise and so relies on your opinion from previous lunches he's made.
Would love you to make lunches and snacks for him, especially since he typically has the not so nice lunches and snacks mentioned before. Even if you can't cook, a piece of goddamn lettuce would have him gently smiling on missions while munching away.
Kaeya
Platonic
Regardless on whether you do or don't drink or are too young, he likes bringing you to the tavern since he spends a lot of time off work there, and you'll probably become friends with Venti and Rosaria as a result since they're his drinking buddies.
If you have a sibling, I imagine Kaeya would judge them on if he likes them or not, and especially if the relationship is strained like him and Diluc. Speaking of, I think it'd be funny if he gets you in on pranks or little jokes with him.
If you're older and comfterable with it, he'll playfully and jokingly flrit with you, stopping if he reconsises that it may be going too far.
He teases you non romantically regardless, making fun of you while you roll your eyes and sigh in annoyance. Kaeya thinks it's funny to poke your face when you're busy or to gently yank on your hair if you won't pay him attention.
Nahh he 100% does that dumb thing where he's like 'we need to talk' with a serious face and somber actions then starts ranting about how Diluc removed his favourite wine.
Romantic
Teasing? Teasing.
Honestly, I imagine him to be someone that gets all flirty but the second someone returns that energy he's pausing his sentence and blushing. Kaeya will recover easily, but don't think his blush still isn't visible.
He likes playing with your hair if you have any, it's something sweet and small, a gentle activity at the end of the day for you both to destress. Will lay in bed while telling you of work and how he annoyed Diluc with paying some of Venti's tab. And he does it to get attention sometimes, whenever you're working or talking to somebody else he'll annoy you because he loves you.
I imagine he'd like you to not work, he's perfectly fine with you working though, Kaeya just really likes someone to come home to and to spend his free time with. That or you being a part of the knights. He will be a bit sad if you're too busy with work and they overlap with his free time, but he respects you and he doesn't want to push you to quit.
Disagree all you want, Kaeya likes biting, not always in the thats what she said way, just a lil nibble on the cheek or shoulder and he's happy for a minute before he wants to do it again. Never too hard and if you don't like it, he's chill. Overjoyed if you really like it and will do it back, he 100% will do it in the that's what she said way if you like that however.
Itto
Platonic
This fool, this blundering baffoon. If you become part of his gang, you'll either be in prison with him awkwardly waiting for Shinobu, or bailing him from prison with Shinobu like five times a every week.
Will pat you on the back with the force of a thousand sun's, you literally nearly die one time because he's unaware of his strength.
Since Itto doesn't seem like he'd warn you beforehand, imagine if you bring beans somewhere and he just starts being over dramatic. Playing up how you totally tried to kill him, after all the jokes over though he will probably beg you to get rid of them.
Forgets his strength and sometimes picks you up like a cat, may accidently trample over you if you're smaller.
BEETLE BATTLES it'd be so fucking cool, if you beat him, dude acts like his pride is SHATTERED. Although I think he might not actually care too much, especially if you're younger because he wants to hype you up.
He's a gentlemen even if he has the brain of a spoon, will help you with whatever chores you need to do or any heavy lifting tasks you can't complete.
Romantic
Now I don't mean this in the ykyk way, but he's so fucking large, like he could probably pick you up over his shoulder regardless of you weight, height or how muscley you are. Since he's a fuckin oni.
I think oni live longer than humans, in which case, SAD FUCKING TIMES. He realises this after joking you'll stay with him for hundreds of years, and you sort of blink awkwardly. Not wanting to say it before he figures it out.
He then goes on a quest to find a way for you to live longer, he even begs the shogun at some point, one of his lowest of lows in his opinion.
This guy hates leaving your side, and if he has to I imagine he'd be your personal bodyguard, regardless on how strong you are or what battles you've faced. To him you're a fragile human and he doesn't want to lose you.
This man cannot cook for his life, you have to do the food and probably work if you want stable money given he usually pranks people all day with his gang. however, he will clean and get his members to help out if it becomes too taxing.

Suddenly as if a weight had been lifted off yourself, your body recovered consciousness and jolted awake opening your eyes you saw a blurry figure standing in front of you. Shaking your head to wake you were instead met by one of the most beautiful shades of periwinkle that a person could have as an eye color. As the lights above you began to illuminate you finally could see however it is.
The man had dark blue hair that reached below his shoulder. His then right eye was covered by an eyepatch making you look towards his left side instead taking a closer look to his features you where a little in awe at his beauty you have never thought someone that handsome ever existed especially something out of a fairy tale.
You then began to take in the surrounding that place was now illuminated by the dim lamps above, which wasn't the case when you arrived and the place was no longer covered in dust and dirt instead everything was neatly tucked away, cleaned showcasing the lavish guest area not even a trace of anything seen when you arrived was here?
Looking towards the man again in pure confusion " Where am I " you asked clearly not gripping the situation which also seems to give the man a slightly confused reaction too but alittle amused at the same time by the looks of it his lip had slightly curved.
"Interesting don't you think? I was about to ask you the same" what business? do you have in my mansion young miss/ sir and in who's authority did you have entry to this area?
He said his silky voice deepening signaling his change in demeanour addressing his authority but the amused look on his face didn't change abit.
You quickly got up from the couch bowing your head as you refusively began to apologize about entering some else property because from the looks of it looked really abanded and in the mindset of finding shelter you probably imagined something else and where to leave right away when the rain calmed abit.
The man in response shook his head instead ,arms crossed as he leaned up against the wall looking back at you in understanding.
"Well then you should've just said so young miss/sir but I still don't understand why I wasn't notified of this entry of yours and to how you got unsupervised I might need to start giving out proper discipline especially to such unattended matters" his voice going cold but immediately changed looking back at you.
Which genuinely frightened you *how does someone's demeanour constantly keep changing from friendly to violent in just a few minutes ?*
* And what does it mean about servants you couldn't even hear a pin drop of noise since you arrived and how the hell did this place change you sweared to god you weren't't imagining things.*
You thought to your self, running through the forest wet and cold couldn't suddenly make you delusional to imagine the place look like something it was not but for some reason you wanted to mentally slap yourself, you felt slightly embrassed and guilty at the same for intruding into someone else property and the right thing to do was to leave immediately.
Apologizing once again you grabbed your backpack from below and was ready to head out but was immediately stopped by his voice once again turning from his friendly side to cold.
"Do you really think it's advisable for a young lady/lad as yourself to be roaming around such late hours of the night, all alone?"
*Well he did have a point, it was really late and still pouring outside and the way out of here is the woods which you really didn't want to deal with the occurrence of yourself being lost again at such time and evening if you did make it out the last town was properly miles away*
Sighing deeply you turned around to face the man who's expression soon changed back to normal, you nodding in agreement.
"Great then! As my guest for the night and as your host let me have the honors of serving you to night, making sure you're properly feed and have a nice warm bed to sleep on!"
He said cheerfully before lightly clapping his hands.
"Adeline would you mind taking our beloved guest's backpack back to their room?"
"Yes Master" someone whispered behind you their cold breath making you get chills swiftly from the scare. There stood a pale looking woman, her eye motionless as she held your bag in two hands before bowing down and in a blink of an eye she vanished as she was never there just seconds ago. Clearly Abit spooked you looked back to the male not able to process whatever is going on you kept silent, in return the male gave you a reassuring smile.
Gently placing his hand around your waist as he guided you towards the dinner area, *where a hot freshly cooked meal awaits*
Little did you know staying the night at this strangers place was a really really bad life decision you had chosen to accomplish yourself with.

Clouds slowly clouded the one's sunny sky of any light turning it into a light of grey instead, harsh sets of wind blew alongside the forest trees that surrounded you moving agreesively as leaf's flew all over. Signaling the birds and animals around that there was gonna be an incoming storm.
You couldn't help but shiver at the harsh winds, quickly retiring back from your hike as you tried stalking your way outta there but to no avail. As the tall trees surrounded the area blocking you view of any kind of path especially the one you'd took from the nearest village. Now to only end up lost in the unknown.
As if your day couldn't get any worse small droplets of water began spilling out from the sky, one by one it soon became heavy, while you tried finding an alternative way out.
You're thought's soon halted when the booming sounds of thunder accompanied by even more rain.
Sighing as you felt yourself being drenched in rain water and the coldness by the gust of winds that made their way to you.
Thankfully luck was finally on your side as you began to follow up a small path at the distance that led to an open field, in between stood proudly a large rundown manor that looked like it would've have been something glamorous at it's time or area of prime. Sadly now that's left is a dark and hallow place with over growned weeds that covered the cracked walls and fences making it look somewhat unsettling.
While standing in the pouring you felt a shiver around yourself, quickly gathering your breath before sprinting towards the manor for shelter, then leaning against one of the pillars as you took to catch your breath and shaking yourself rid of any form of water to dry off. You opted to staying outside but after glancing back at the dark clouds you knew it wasn't gonna end anytime soon.
Glancing towards the manor doors instead you too you thought I'd be best to dry instead even though no one lived here the places was basically abandoned so...
But something inside you kept you away from that decision, from all the horror story's you've consumed you're entry. Peering into the darkness you couldn't help but gulp. Stepping into the mansion closing the door behind that left clanking sound. Finally you were inside!
Adjusting your eyes you took in the place/surrounding the place you stood before was a grand entrance in between leading to long stairway, and in the corner left you spotted and old dusty looking couch near a window in the corner that showed the pouring rain outside.
*This was probably some kind of greeting area for guests to wait*
Not opting to wandering around the place you decide to stay where ever where. Unhooking your backpack you placed it against the couch before plopping onto it letting out a large sigh, before slowly drifting off to sleep the only sounds could be heard was the constant clicks of rain droplets against the window and your heartbeat, surprisingly it was peaceful?
But at the same time you couldn't shake off the feeling like you where being watched, somehow it probably was your imagination, it was the case though when you suddenly felt something cold and slender pressed against your hands!?
Your entire body felt numb your eyes closed shut only the thoughts racing inside your head where unbound. Your heartbeat quickened with a set of pearls sliding off the top of your head. The hand started caressing your cheek before slowly trailing down to your exposed collarbone. You wanted to wake up and push away who ever was touching you but couldn't. Like prey being captured by its predator you froze in place to afraid for the outcome.
You then heard a low chuckle, accompanied by the hand placing itself onto your shoulder instead.

๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ : You accidentally stumbled upon an old abandoned manor one rainy night taking upon yourself to head inside and be faced with a dusty old guest area, cold and trench in rain water you couldn't help but decided to take a nap upon one of the decent looking couches upfront only to wakeup and be face to face with manor's Master himself who "insisted" you'd stayed the night. After all you are his guest n wouldn't it be rude to decline a host offer?

Kaeya Alberich
The night air in Mondstadt is crisp, carrying the faint scent of dandelions and the distant hum of revelry from the city below. But here, within the quiet sanctuary of Kaeyaโs room, the only sound that matters is the soft cadence of his voice.
It had started with a drink, just one. A quiet escape from the noise of the tavern, from the ever watchful eyes of the city. Kaeya had offered, his smirk playful, his voice dripping with charm.
โStay a little longer tonight, wonโt you?โ
And youโd said yes, because how could you ever say no to him?
Now, the candlelight flickers, casting warm shadows along the walls, bathing the room in a golden glow. Kaeya leans against the edge of his bed, a glass of wine resting in his palm, swirling lazily as he watches you from beneath heavy lashes. His coat had long since been discarded, leaving him in that deep blue shirt, the top buttons undone, exposing of his collarbone.
โYou always look so tense,โ he murmurs, tilting his head. His voice is smooth, teasing, but thereโs something else beneath it something softer. Something meant only for you. โYou let everyone else see you so strong, so put togetherโฆ but I wonder,โ he sets the glass down with a soft clink, his gaze locking onto yours, โwho do you fall apart for?โ
The weight of his words settles deep in your chest, warm and heavy. Your fingers twitch against the fabric of your clothes, a quiet tell you know he doesnโt miss. Thereโs something thick in the air between you, something unspoken but understood.
Kaeya rises from his seat, slow and deliberate, his movements fluid like the wine in his glass. He steps closer, close enough that you can feel the coolness of his body against the warmth of your own. His gloved fingers reach up, ghosting over your jaw, tilting your chin up just enough to meet his gaze.
โLet me, just this once,โ he breathes, his voice a whisper between you. His fingers brush against your skin, featherlight, as if testing, waiting for permission. โLet me see you unravel.โ
And you do.
โ
The room is warm, the scent of candle wax and wine lingering in the air. The flickering light casts shadows over Kaeyaโs face as he hovers above you, his body flush against yours, pressing you into the soft mattress beneath him. The usual playfulness in his expression has melted into something deeper something raw.
His breath is uneven, his usual composure slipping with every desperate movement. His lips trace slow, open mouthed kisses down the curve of your neck, his gloved hands roaming over your body, mapping you like heโs trying to commit every inch of you to memory.
โYouโre so beautiful like this,โ he murmurs against your skin, his voice rough, hoarse with need.
Your breath hitches, fingers twisting into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer. He exhales a soft curse against your throat, his forehead pressing into the crook of your neck as he tries to steady himself, to hold on just a little longer. But the way you move beneath him, the way you whisper his name itโs undoing him.
Kaeya groans, a deep, broken sound, his grip tightening around you as he presses you impossibly closer. His body shudders, his breath ragged, his voice barely a whisper as he murmurs against your lips, โItโs okayโฆ Let go, baby. Iโve got you.โ
And when you do, when pleasure overtakes you, leaving you trembling beneath him, Kaeya follows soon after. His breath stutters, his arms wrapping around you like he never wants to let go, his entire body shuddering against yours as he loses himself completely.
Even when the waves of pleasure fade, he doesnโt move, doesnโt pull away. He stays pressed against you, his heart hammering against your own, his fingers tracing lazy circles over your skin. His lips ghost over your temple, pressing soft, lingering kisses against your heated skin.
โI know, baby,โ he murmurs, voice thick with exhaustion and something softer something more vulnerable. โI know.โ
The night is quiet save for the sound of your breathing, the distant hum of Mondstadt beyond the window. And in that moment, wrapped in Kaeyaโs arms, you know neither of you is ready to let go just yet.

"Master, your parents sent a letter demanding that you return to Fontaine," Ronan says, hand over his heart and bowing slightly as he gives you the news. You ignored him and stare out the window, sipping coffee that was freshly brewed and delivered directly to your room. It was pouring thus couldn't go to meet Kaeya.
You were in deep thought. It truly has been a long time since you departed in secret to Mondstadt and you knew that if you don't go home, your parents will send a person or two to bring you home. They weren't overbearing parents, no- they are just worried about your safety since you have been out of their sight for about two months now.
Setting the cup down, you turned to look at Ronan, who was urging you to follow the order with his eyes. "Alright," you sighed, "Send word to my parents that I'll return within a week. No more, no less. You know that I keep my words." Ronan nods, and seeing as you had a serious look, he trusts that you'll do as you had just said and excuses himself to go write the letter.
You turn away from the door to the wet landscape outside. You only had a week left with Kaeya and you were determined to spend every second of it with him.
-
"Kaeya!" You waved eagerly at the Cavalry Captain, gaining his attention by the loud yet enthusiastic call of his name. "(Y/N), good morning. It was a shame that yesterday was pouring," he said, a smile on his face. "Give me a moment and I'll be with you." You nod and see him walk to a knight and talked to them in a serious and ordering tone before going back to you. "Alright, I'm all yours for today."
You smiled at his words. It was just the two of you today, without your butler, Ronan, as you had ordered him to stay at Diluc's mansion. You wanted to spend the remaining days with Kaeya alone before returning home. "You know, I haven't met your cousin yet; I'm starting to think you don't have a cousin in Mondstadt," Kaeya said, strolling beside you.
"You don't believe me? Well, that's understandable since he is busy- both during the day and night," you said, "But, believe me, I do have a cousin and he is working at a tavern."
"Oh? At a tavern? That's interesting," Kaeya said. The day was fill with fun- eating, strolling both inside and outside of the city, hearing bards sing, and more eating. Kaeya is surprised that you could take so much food in and had asked if you were from Liyue instead, considering their iron stomachs.
The blue sky started to change to a mix of orange, yellow, and red as the sun started to set behind the cathedral of Mondstadt. That's when you realized that you had forgotten to tell Kaeya something important. "Um, Kaeya, thank you for guiding me around Mondstadt through my time here," you started off, getting the blue-haired male a quizzical stare at you. When he didn't say anything, you took it as to continue. "I'm returning to Fontaine by the end of this week."
There was silence on the receiving end of the conversation as darkness cast over at Kaeya's eyes. He had known that you won't be staying forever, but he didn't think it would be this month that you were leaving. I mean, there was probably still chaos that you wanted to get away from as he had calculated that the traveller- who is always causing something- had probably not yet reached the hydro region to fix it.
"I see."
You started to worry if he was unhappy but when he turned his head to the to stare at you, he was smiling. "Well, then, we should spend this week together as much, no?" He half-heartedly and forcibly laughs. You forced yourself to lightly chuckles as well, feeling already sad that you had to depart from your friend.
When you returned to Diluc's place, you find him sitting on a sofa in the living room, reading a book as he drinks his grape juice. "Diluc!" You came from behind and leaned over the sofa, wrapping your arms lazily around his neck. "I heard that you're leaving this week from your butler," he said, setting down his drink. "Mhm, so, will you spend at least a day with me?" You stare at his side profile.
"I'll set aside time in the morning tomorrow," he said. A smile appeared on your lips and you were beaming with excitement. You did spend time with Diluc throughout the month and something weeks but it wasn't as often which made you a bit sad. But, when he says he is free, you would take the opportunity to hang out with him. "You better keep your word," you said. Diluc knows how serious you are about keeping promises and so was he. He nods slightly before telling you to rest up otherwise you two won't have time to hang out tomorrow morning.
When the sun's light started to peek through the little gaps between the curtains, you were already up and ready to go. Diluc, on the other hand, was still asleep and you had to pull him out of bed. "(Y/N), it's barely six in the morning.."
"Hey, you said that we're going to hang out all morning and I'm not wasting a single second!" You tug on your cousin's arm. After a few more minutes, the fiery-haired male finally got up, telling you to leave the room as he changes his clothes.
You two skipped breakfast at home to eat breakfast outside, on your wishes, of course. You two strolled around and bought some things that caught your eyes for you to take home to Fontaine. "(Y/N), you don't need that," Diluc said for the nth time at another souvenir you had found that was sitting perfectly in the middle of Marjorie's store. "But, Diluc, I want to remember all the things in Mondstadt!" you said.
"You can always come back to visit Mondstadt," he states. "Yeah, in a couple of years.." you mumbled, pouting as he drags you away from the window. "As long as you can visit again and not be locked up inside some tower, you'll be fine with just a couple of souvenirs," Diluc said. You were a bit careless with mora and that's something Diluc caught up on when reading your letters sent from Fontaine and wanted you to stop spending so much of your father's money.
You didn't hide your sulking expression that Diluc would take time to figure it out. In the distance, to the direction you two were walking, Flora was at her usual spot, selling flowers to those who passed by. He thought it would be better to buy something meaningful like a flower bloomed only in Mondstadt rather than souvenirs of artifacts that can be found across Teyvat. He drags you by the hand to Flora's stall. "Hello there, mister. Do you care to buy a flower for the lovely person beside you?" the little girl asks with her usual, happy smile.
"Yes. Do you have a flower especially from Mondstadt?" he asks. Flora nods. "I have cecilia flowers which can only be found in Mondstadt's Starsnatch Cliff; a perfect flower to represent Mondstadt for travellers that comes from another part of Teyvat," she answers enthusiastically. Diluc agrees to buy a flower and hands it to you, who was busy looking at food from a far away stall.
"(Y/N)." You turn your attention to Diluc who held a single cecilia flower. "Instead of artifacts, why not have a flower?" A small smile appears on his face, a genuine one at that. You stare at the flower in his hands and returned him a smile of your own. "Aw, you should smile more often," you said and pulled on his face, stretching it to make his smile bigger, although at this point he's smile is that of a forced one and he looked annoyed more than anything.
You giggled and let go of his now reddened cheeks before accepting the flower. "I should be going now," Diluc suddenly says, "I'll see you at home; you better be home by then, understand?" You chuckled but nodded at his commanding voice before shoeing him away.
The morning was enjoyable on your part, but what about the Cavalry Captain who stood just a few feet behind you? A shadow loomed over him as he had just seen the intimate gestures you and Diluc had with a smile on your face he had never thought to see for another person. When did you two ever meet up, he asked himself. It was probably when he wasn't around.
He was about to greet you when a familiar red-head entered his line of sight with cecilia in hand, giving it to you with a smile that he had thought that was long gone.
Kaeya had to find out so he put on a perfected, fake smile that was scarier than any other smiles a person could see in a lifetime. "(Y/N)!" He calls out, getting your attention away from Diluc's disappearing figure and to him.
A smile tugged on your face when you see who had just called you. "Kaeya, I was about to go look for you!" you said as he walks closer to you. "Oh, really?" he asks, knowing that you had just parted away from someone else not too long ago. You nodded, not knowing the hidden venom in his tone. Kaeya was most ticked off when you nodded but then see the cecilia. "Oh? Did someone buy you that?" he asked innocently as if he hadn't just seen Diluc give you the flower.
"Yeah, how did you know?" you ask in pure surprise and awe. "Lucky guess," he lied, "So, care to tell me who bought you this?" His eyes were cold and you were completely unaware.
Your eyes softened and smile gently when you thought of who everyone thought of as cold giving you a flower. "Someone dear to me," you answered. Kaeya felt something foreign well up in his chest. It felt as if it was squeezing his heart to pieces. How could Diluc be someone already so dear to you when you had just arrived in Mondstadt. He wanted to ask, believe me, but he had to hold himself from asking since your love life wasn't something he should be concerned with and reminded himself that you'll leave the city soon enough so there couldn't possibly be something between you and himself.
You pulled him along and enjoyed the rest of the day. When the sky was dark enough to see the stars and moon, it was time to part for the day. You part ways with him at the fountain in the center of the city, but instead of going back home, Kaeya followed you in secret.
He had followed you to Angel's Share- where Diluc was at- and watched as you entered the busy tavern. It was clear to him that something was up between the two of you so he stayed, hidden around the corner of a building that had a perfect view of the door to the tavern. It took hours of just standing there until you had left the tavern with Diluc, chatting something amongst you two and laughing about it. Then, Kaeya notices that you had your arm wrapped around his as you both headed out of the city's walls.
The next day, Kaeya had watched you intensely, waiting for something to happen. You caught on but didn't want to say anything about it to only feel awkward later. Slowly, you reached your arms out to an item that the stall you two were at had to offer. "(Y/N), mind if I ask you something?" he asked in a tone that made your skin jump. "A-ah, sure. What is it?" You were honestly afraid and worried about what he was going to ask since he was practically emitting his cryo vision around him.
"I had been wondering, do you perhaps stay somewhere outside of the city? I always see you leaving the gate when we part," he said, lying about the part that he always sees you leaving; he just found out yesterday when he saw you with Diluc.
"Ah, yes, I am. Is there something wrong about it?" you answered honestly. It was about it that Kaeya could stop himself from asking as he part his lips to utter the words he'd been dying to say. "(Y/N)?" A voice that both knew all too perfectly well caught the attention of both of them. Diluc.
"Diluc!" you eagerly call. Diluc looks to Kaeya who stood behind you, his eyes narrowed at the sight of Kaeya. "Kaeya, what are you doing here?" he asks in a dark, almost growling, tone. "You know Kaeya, Diluc?" you asked, surprised that neither told you of the other.
"You could say that," Kaeya asks, a smirk growing on his lips. It was time for his answer to be revealed. "So, (Y/N), who--.." You caught Kaeya off with full of excitement. "Wow, this is perfect then!" you say. "Kaeya, this is my cousin, Diluc! See, I didn't lie when I said I have a cousin in Mondstadt."
Kaeya's shadowy gaze lighten up as he heard the words leave from your very own mouth. "Cousins..?" he repeats, processing the familiar word in his mind. "Mhm, that's right."
Kaeya's heart lightened up and felt kind of ashamed that he didn't think of another possibility to your relationship with Diluc even though you said that the only other person you knew here was your cousin thus wouldn't be out with anybody else.

"Safe travels, (Y/N)," Diluc says warmly. "Thank you for your hospitality," you thanked with a smile. Then, you realized you had forgotten to do one last thing. "Oh, right! I still need to say goodbye to Kaeya!" you said out loud. "Well, I'll be going to the city before I go back. Make sure to read the letters I send and to write back, okay?" Diluc nods and see you out.
"Ronan, let me visit Kaeya before going to Fontaine," you said. Ronan complies to your wishes since it was the day of the departure after all.
When you entered within the city's wall, your eyes immediately started to look for Kaeya. After a while, you still couldn't find him and thought that he was out on a mission. It saddens you but you decided to wait until he comes back since you'd hate it if the person you know leaves without a goodbye.
A few more hours passes by and you lit up when you see Kaeya entering the city. "Kaeya!" Kaeya turns to you, surprised that you were still loitering around when you should be leaving.
"(Y/N), what are you still doing in Mondstadt? I thought you left.." his words trailing to a whisper on the second half. He was happy that you were still around and knew why you haven't departed yet.
You wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him closer, leaning your head against his chest. Kaeya's face reddened at the sudden action. "(Y-Y/N), you.." The Cavalry Captain couldn't think of anything to say as he was still busy being flustered at the hug. You smiled and took this chance to kiss his cheeks and moved away from him to take a better look.
"I- Why did you kiss me?" He was getting redder by the second as he placed his hand on the cheek you had kissed. "It's the way the people of Fontaine bids farewell," you said with a cheeky smile. Kaeya regains his calm exterior, but his heart was still pounding rapidly in his chest. "I'll be writing to you when I arrive at Fontaine so you better write back, okay?" He smiles and nods, bidding you farewell.
It was the first visit in a while and the first encounter with him. But, you both clearly could tell that something could be developed between the two of you and maybe in your next visit, either will take action for it.
