How on earth people still vote for the man that did nothing to solve the energetic crisis of the country, for the same man that left us 14+ hours without power daily, the man that sat there and waited for winter and rains to start. How can anyone vote for the man that was scammed during the purchase of electric generators because surprise surprise no one in his damn government bothered to check that they were buying from a ghost company. I know that it’s almost impossible to change the country for the better in one year considering that the previous governments never donde shit, but he was elected to give us solutions during his year of work, Noboa raised taxes to 15% to “fight” insecurity when he promised he wouldn’t touch the people’s money, it’s 2025 and we just had one of the most violent months in the history of the country, our taxes are being used to pay front rows to Trump’s inauguration ceremony. We really don’t have historical memory and we’re not used to live with dignity because that concept was lost ages ago.

I don’t use ‘the character of all time’ lightly but that’s what Luke Triton is. He’s a plucky, precocious, newsboy cap-wearing English boy. He’s the coddled son of a mayor. He’s an orphan for 6 years because he hates his dad. He forces his apprenticeship onto his master. He’s been arrested. He’s the sweetest little angel. His first instinct upon meeting a law officer is to assault him. His first instinct upon meeting his future self was to beef with him, too. His solution to a casino shootout was to construct a machine gun. He pauses on the street to scope cabaret dancers. He’s a gentleman. The other kids can’t stand him. A terrorist impersonated him. Logic is his religion. He receives prophecies from rats. He spent an acid trip mistaking a grown man for a little girl and didn’t let it go for ten years. The Loch Ness monster almost killed him and he never spoke of it again. He’s been at the counsel table for witch trials and never spoke of it again. He unearthed a lost civilization and never spoke of it again. By age 8, he’s ready for the world to end. By age 13, he’s bright-eyed and full of beans. If you’re nice to him, he loves you for life. If you’re mean to him, who the hell knows what’ll happen

This is the "To Be Continued" image you get upon completing Diabolical Box. You can see on the dial on the far right that the numbers are switching to 1974. If this image is canon, then I think we can say that the series is set in 1964. If that's the case, Layton was born in 1927 meaning our boy's 100th birthday is in 2 years!
Don't worry about me. I intend to atone for my crimes.

Hershel Layton is a Professor of Archaeology who leads a relatively peaceful life in the small town of Haverfield. He's lived in Haverfield for his entire life. He has two loving parents, Lucille and Roland, and a best friend and loyal apprentice, Luke.
Hershel doesn’t mind the rather mundane life he leads for the most part. He is bored, yes, but he’s safe. He no longer likes to go on grander adventures after his mother and Randalls’ deaths. He prefers to stay in his quiet office and research and read.
Hershel loves to solve puzzles, and the people of Haverfield love to provide. In fact, they seem to always have a puzzle on hand whenever Hershel brings up his growing desire to leave. The stability of a correct answer keeps him happy, after all, and so Hershel remains content (enough) with his life in Haverfield.
That is until several anomalies begin to make themselves known. He witnesses from his own driveway a stage light falling from the sky. The waves on the shore stop swelling for a day. A patch of rain falls only on him.
Hershel manages to brush them off with a twitching eyelid, but things spiral when he’s walking off of Gressenheller’s campus and spots Randall. Alive.
Hershel starts to doubt the nature of things. This is a puzzle he’s never been more desperate and frightened to solve.
His newfound paranoia and wariness only sharpen his advertency of the several abnormalities and conveniently placed coincidences happening around him, and the less-than-receptive reactions from his closest friends helps drive him further to the conclusion that perhaps none of it is real.

Since the dome in the Truman show is only like. 15 miles wide. There can probably only be two small towns. This means that Last Specter is the only Layton game that can. Happen. Sorry. Wow I really fucked up the plot of Professor Layton. Whatever. This is my au.
Some of this stuff may change! But here's what I have initially. I might write something for this. Who knows. I also probably forgot something. But that's okay I'll come back and add it later.
