Some of our silly photos from day 2 as Khan and Nori! Very Glad so many people recognized us and wanted pictures! The cosplay contest today was awesome!
Also got Michael Kovach and Sean Chiplock to sign my door today as N and Thad!
More of the sillier pictures we took. Can't wait to harass other cosplayers as goofy parents at every convention. Love #6+7 cuz it just looks like Nori going through an existential crisis.
Finally, we can show off the totally edgy Nori cosplay! Kiri really did go ham with drawing on the glasses. Planning to show off Khan and Nori at Kadabracon as well as 2 other cosplays we're still working on, so hopefully we finish those by the end of the month!
I've been playing around with my glasses for the Khan Cosplay and had a pleasant time drawing error messages on it. Actually very impressed with how the bluescreen turned out. Comment any ideas for any more dumb stuff to do with the screen face!
Finally finished my Khan cosplay right before the last episode of murder drones dropped! Had alot of fun putting it together, but damn does it get hot fast. Also painted a Minecraft door for the meme as well as just to have a weildable prop to swing around! Definitely gonna have some fun with this costume at conventions.

In general they were a nice couple and genuinely loved and cared for each other, but things got complicated when Nori was offered to become a medicine cat
Khan was not very happy about it, because then they would have to break up, and he always wanted to have a family and kits with Nori
Nori did not like the prospect of sitting in the nursery all the time, but she didn't know how to tell Khan because he was so hopeful about having children with her, so she told Khan that the role of medicine cat was inevitable and she'd have to make that sacrifice and she couldn't have kits
The medical code forbids medicine cats from having a couple and kits, but ... .. no one would know if they met in secret, right? There'd be no repercussions, would there?

Uzi is caught off guard. She has never seen her dad cry before. It felt very strange to her. It was essentially the re-discovery of a side of Khan that Uzi only remembers seeing vaguely when she was very young.
The first thing that Uzi thought was “Woah..” but then she thought, “Why?”
“Why with me? What makes me of all people so special that he would feel comfortable to show this?” She thought.
Uzi already knows that Khan doesn’t tend to show vulnerability. She doesn’t know why. Although, from what Uzi has gathered, whenever Khan does, he seems visibly uncomfortable. Uzi can’t fully tell if it’s embarrassment, or shame, but she doesn’t need to be able to tell. She somehow already knows enough.
The other part of Uzi’s thinking is realizing that she doesn’t mind that this is happening, and is in fact more concerned. Again, she doesn’t know why she’s feeling this way. Was it because it was her father of all people? The overly optimistic door-enthusiast? Who seems to never let himself be bothered by anything? Maybe. Or perhaps it’s because--
No. Enough. Stop thinking so hard. She doesn’t have the time or patience right now for a deep analysis on another’s emotions. She’ll figure that all out later. But for now, she just wants to focus on the here and now; willingly for once. She wants to be here for her dad. If her presence is so comforting, and if that is what makes Khan feel better, then so be it. That is what she will focus on.

i feel like when Khan was younger (probably around Uzi’s age, maybe a little older. idk, open to interpretation lol), during the time where he was still working for the humans and would definitely get physically abused by them, he learned to handle pain pretty well— and at the same time developed a high pain tolerance; basically to the point where pain just became a minor problem; for example, it wasn’t a main priority for him to cure an injury as soon as possible.
Why I bring this up is cause I find it kinda ironic that Khan probably handles an injury, no mater what severity it is, as an annoying inconvenience, while he is horrible at handling his emotional pain.
Like. C’mon. You’ve seen the guy.
Literally locks his problems behind a door, drowns in his grief of the loss of Nori by putting all of her kooky insane stuff in a closet (and that could be implying that he sometimes goes to that closet just to loathe) and using doors as an unhealthy coping mechanism in fear of failing everyone, so he could follow Nori’s wishes with her idea, and protect the colony of course. But in the end, it ended up hurting everyone who depended on him, drew him far away from his daughter, and not even realizing that he was hurting Uzi, he (in denial, mind you) thought he was doing the right thing.
But then he acts completely chill as he literally floats in the air in episode 7, very clearly signifying that he does not really fear physical danger (unless it’s a Murder Drone bc that’s a trigger for him. last time that happened, he got a PTSD panic attack infront of Uzi in the Pilot lmao /lh) plus also impling that this isn’t his first rodeo. Crazy shit like that has just become normal to him.
Which I don’t think I can pick if that is kinda funny, or just tragically saddening.
Finally some reasonable ppl and actual not-shitty opinions. I actually saw a post talking about the same thing a while back. Thanks for stating this in general because for some reason it’s hard for me to differentiate if an opinion is a reasonable crash-out, or bullshit lol. /lh /gen
one of the few md related things that haunts me is this post i saw of someone that was trying to argue the parent-teacher conference scene was just khan not accepting the idea that uzi might be neurodivergent
i think about it often, because what the fuck. this was only a few months into my md obsession so i wasn’t too confident about my khan rambles but even if i saw this now, i’d probably just make a snarky comment. because i genuinely do not think you can change someone’s view if they are trying to argue an idea like this.

I’m sorry to report, but I unfortunately realized just now that this comic’s writing is not accurate and can not be continued.
Since I’m never gonna share it now, imma just give ya’ll a jist of what this even was;
Post-canon situation where Uzi gets pissed at Khan (for whatever reason- idek wth I was thinking when I wrote this shit- 💀), Khan gets in his feelings about it because he feels like Uzi doesn’t love him and basically the rest of it is Nori comforting him.
Sooo… u might be wondering; “ how is this comic ‘ inaccurate ’ ? ”
wELL…☝️🤠 the reason why this is so stupidly inaccurate is because;
UZI WOULD NOT SHOW THAT KIND OF ATTITUDE TOWARDS KHAN ANYMORE BECAUSE BOTH HAVE ALREADY SOLVED THAT ISSUE BETWEEN THEMSELVES ON HOW THEY BOTH LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AND KHAN WOULD NOT GET IN HIS FEELINGS AND THINK THAT UZI DOES NOT LOVE HIM BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN THE CONFORMATION THAT UZI TRULY DOES LOVE HER FATHER BACK.
And sure, father and daughter can have their disagreements and quarrels, BUT IT WAS NOT WRITTEN IN THE RIGHT WAY ON HOW IT WAS GOING TO PORTRAY THAT- 😭😭😭

I hate the meme going around now in the fandom where Khan has his feet cemented and he’s been tossed in the bottom of a river or lake.
Apparently people still ignore the fact that he actually grows throughout the series. Bitterly regrets what he did in the pilot.
Objectively…should be the Solver/Cyn in that position. But nooooo. “The Cylly did nothing wrong!!!”
Apparently leaving one person to die (and feeling horrific about it, trying to do better after…) is a FAR WORSE crime than torture, breaking all the Geneva Convention Laws, and omnicide!

Silent Talk
A mini Murder Drones Khori (Khan x Nori) one-shot fan fiction.
TRIGGER/CRINGE WARNING: None!

It was a day like all of the others, and Khan wasn’t having any difference in his experience. He has times where he is completely content, but there are some days where Khan is just-- not… well. And unfortunately, today was one of those days.
He would sit and stay somewhere alone and go completely silent— sometimes staying quiet for multiple hours on end. Continuing to isolate himself from everything and everyone.
Khan has done his usual thing of separating himself from all distractions in the past, but unlucky for him, Nori saw this as an obvious sign of his current mental state.
The respective drone in question was sitting alone on the far end of the couch, with his arms folded firmly across his torso.
Nori had already met the same room where Khan was in, and sat on the opposite end of the couch from where he was sitting— not quite directly next to him, but making sure to give Khan some space.
Khan barely reacted, if not at all to Nori’s presence at first. He occasionally, using only his eyes, would glance towards Nori’s direction, before immediately putting his gaze back down on the ground.
Nori reached out and gently placed a hand on Khan’s arm.
The simple gesture seemed to work as Khan had fully turned his attention beside him.
Nori motioned something with her hands—
“You okay?”
was the rough translation.
Khan shook his head.
There was a short pause.
“I’m sorry.”
Khan signed back.
Nori’s eyes hollowed for a moment.
“Don’t apologize.”
She signed.
Another short moment of silence fell.
Nori’s expression softened.
“You want me to stay?”
She asked.
Khan blushed sheepishly.
“Please?”
Nori chuckled softly with a smile. She repositioned herself directly next to Khan.
Khan surprisingly didn’t resist the touch and scooted in closer. He leaned onto Nori’s side— practically collapsing into her.
Nori was nearly caught off guard and almost lost her balance before thankfully catching it back rather quickly.
Both sat there for a while in that position— Khan occasionally giving a gentle head-bump below Nori’s chin.
Now this is the type of affection that they can both get used to.

Do you ever think about the fact that the reason why Khan is so obsessed with doors is because if he had built more of them and sooner, he could’ve prevented Nori’s death? And that he’s so disappointed in Uzi not liking doors because he sees her disinterest as disregard for her own life and the thing that took her mother away? And that the trauma of having to put his own wife out of her misery stuck with him so hard that when he sees N pin Uzi to the wall, all he can see is Nori’s death and his own failure to protect her? (Doesn’t help that Uzi and Nori are nearly identical)
Do you ever think about the fact that Khan emotionally distanced himself from his own daughter because every time he looked at her, he could only see the ghost of the woman he was forced to kill?
