[11.32 am]I have ODE lab viva soon and I am terrified but hopefully, it will be over soon. I have given myself the task of completing 20 problems of vector calculus.
***
[3.20 pm] I did start but there has been a dip in my motivation. So I guess I will just take a nice bath, cook some snacks for myself and my parents and then sit and study again.
***
[9.45 pm] I am done for the day.Today I did some problems on vector calculus.I don't know why but I felt tired in the evening and just could not sit and solve stuff so I did not force myself. There is some kind of peace in calculating the angle between two very complex surfaces don't you think? Only if I had more energy to go through it.But now I remember also loving the concept of directional derivative. It is not done yet so gotta continue tomorrow.
222 days left to go..
Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) is a common admission test conducted every year for admission into M.Sc and other post-graduate science programs at Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and National Institutes of Technology(NITs), organized by alternating institutes every year.
A brave and a somewhat kind soul is trying to make a place for herself in this world.Managing bullies while trying to make new friends is proving to be a challenge.Having clumsy habits is not making her life any better.Self doubt is killing whatever is remaining and all she has left with is hope.Hope that she will get better and her life with it.She intends to do this by appearing for the IIT JAM Mathematics exam.An exam where 15,000 students compete for 500 seats in the best colleges around the country.
Will she make it? How far will she go? We can only wait. And wait. And wait…..

What does FTC say?
It says that if a person takes the derivative of a function and then integrates it over a region on the number line say [a, b] then this is the same as evaluating the function on its endpoints.
What does the Green's Theorem say?
Green's Theorem is the fundamental theorem of calculus in 2 dimensions.Instead of taking the derivative of a single variable function we take the curl of a 2 variable function.Instead of integrating this over a number line we integrate it on the xy plane.Instead of evaluating the function at the two endpoints a and b and taking the difference, we take the line integral of the function and integrate it around the curve in a counterclockwise direction.
What does the stokes' theorem say?
Stokes' theorem is the fundamental theorem of calculus in 3 dimensions. Instead of taking the derivative of a single variable function, we take the three-dimensional curl. Instead of integrating this over a number line, we integrate it on the surface (To evaluate the surface integral one has to dot the vector field with unit normal vectors). Instead of evaluating the function at the two endpoints a and b and taking the difference, we take the line integral of the function and integrate it around the curve on a surface in a counterclockwise direction just like in Green's Theorem.

December 17: What is your favorite Christmas carol?
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
December 18: What is a Christmas song that makes you cringe?
Last Christmas 😬
December 19: What is your favorite holiday food?
Lofthouse cookies with peppermint hot chocolate
December 20: What is your least favorite holiday food?
Sweet potato casserole
December 21: What was the most memorable holiday celebration you had at school?
Back in middle school we used to have dances and parties in class for the holidays and by golly do I miss them.
December 22: Finish the thought: “It wouldn’t be Christmas without _______”
Family and food!
December 15: What’s the coolest gift you ever gave someone?
I gave my ex three video games: a resident evil game, wolfenstein, and another one. They were games he liked so why not?
December 16: What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
Rudolph the red nose reindeer from 1964.
December 13: When do you buy your Christmas presents?
I normally buy Christmas presents in October and November.
December 14: Share a memorable gift— opening moment of childhood.
The one gift that stands out would be when my parents bought me an English Composition Textbook, they knew I was struggling in class particularly with writing back in fourth grade. By the way, in Florida and in my school we have an exam in fourth grade to evaluate our writing skills (includes both our handwriting and the content) for the first time and our grade there determines our position for the next year and it also determines if we get held back or not. I would read and take notes, writing essays throughout all of break up until the day of the exam. I scored a five so I was pretty proud and I know I got the point off because my handwriting has always been complex to understand. I interpreted the textbook as my parents trying their best to help me, they don’t speak or write in English so they couldn’t help me in any other way I guess, in a subject I was struggling with.
December 11: What is a favorite family Christmas/holiday memory that has stuck with you throughout the years? Why?
Time to over share: The first time that I ever got drunk would probably be one of my favorite holiday memories because I was playing dominos with my family and still managed to win when I barely could see the dots on the card. We had just eaten and we were laughing and having a good time, there’s a movie playing in the background and tiny plates with the left over appetizers.
December 12: Does your family have any odd traditions during the holidays?
We don’t really have any odd traditions, the oddest tradition we have apparently is roasting a pig instead of eating a turkey or ham during Christmas.
Side Note: Guess who figured out how to make words in bold today
December 10: What is a cherished family tradition from your childhood?
Decorating a Christmas tree and watching movies after dinner.
December 9: What do you usually do during the holidays?
I celebrate Christmas so I normally have a family gathering when I’m not studying or hanging out with friends. I also like to read and watch movies during the holidays.
December 8: When should people start preparing for, decorating and celebrating Christmas?
November and the entire month of December. If you’re feeling saucy, start in July.
December 6: Do you get a break from school/uni/work during winter?
Yes! I got a three week break for winter in my University.
December 7: How do you stay motivated?
If I’m not motivated I will probably fail my next semester and I like to maintain myself a bit more accountable.
December 5: Are you usually busy during winter?
Yes. I have finals week and I have to study for the next semester. 😅
December 4: What is an unpopular opinion that you have about winter?
An unpopular opinion that I have about winter would be that one of the best aspects about winter would be the variability of weather; we experience rain and cold here in Florida and by golly do I like having the chance to wear sweaters. Studying outside is refreshing in the cold.
December 2: What is your favourite thing about winter?
My favorite aspect of the winter, well, there’s a lot that I like about winter equally; here’s a list:
Holiday films
Plush blankets with spruce candles
Hot chocolate with my family
Studying during winter break
Working out at anytime
Making a Christmas tree
Watching the Harry Potter films in December along with 25 holiday movies on ABC family
Reading in front of candles that smell like cookies
Baking
Meeting up with my friends
Starbucks cups!
Starbucks specialty drinks
All the food I get to binge I mean eat (Spring semester is Starving time)
Sleeping in
Spending time with my family
Beating my dad at dominos
Beating my friends at dominos
The holiday music
Watching my 600 lb life while writing notes
Reading books that aren’t required for school
The goal I set to as Time to learn 11 languages on Duolingo
A n d I’ m n o t d o n e
December 1st: Do you like winter?
I love the winter! I enjoy the vibes it has from the Starbucks cups to the music in stores to the cold temperatures giving me the opportunity to wear sweaters and pants! I was born in the winter as well so I associate parts of the winter with my birthday. I like winter break over spring break and you can break my nico nico kneecaps over it! I find it so comfortable to consume cold drinks and some ice cream within the winter making it perfect to meet up with some friends whether it would be to study or to horse around. The gif isn’t mine but I also like the festivities in winter and I associate winter massively with Harry Potter which is one of my favorite series that I grew up with. I’ve never seen snow but I like the idea of snow and snow on trees and throwing snowballs even though my hands start to freeze in 60 degrees :’).
Anime. When it comes to fitness I like watching goku fight against tenzen sorry I haven’t talked about DB in ages. When it comes to academics it needs to be some anime quotes and fight scenes.
My parents. They are immigrants that came with nothing to make a family and home I can do nothing but respect that and aspire to achieve that level of stability.
My bad experiences. I trip now to stand back up after. Every step can go bad but most of that is within our control, the ability to control myself inspires me, the more I do it the better I feel.
My dedication to my students and studies
The amount of discipline and willpower I can have
I think I’m smart
Sorry I kind of hate myself a bit too much for this type of question😅
The thing I’m most proud of are my academic accomplishments. I have always been study oriented and have obtained incredible results like being let in one of the best public universities in my country. I consider myself so proud in my accomplishments it’s more arrogance than anything else if I’m honest; but hey I spent my life doing something why not be proud!
Seeing that I’m getting my life back together: I came back home being obese and yesterday I hit the milestone of being at a normal BMI. Second I was able to keep up with at least two challenges this month and my grades are starting to look up. I’m starting a challenge for myself which is to keep a bullet journal updated for November. As Kronk would say: “Oh yea it’s all coming together.”
My new ability to try, make and keep new and old friends. I am used to alienating myself to favor either my schoolwork or I preferred being alone but I want to be around people; Life alone is quite melancholy which my therapist drilled into me and I want people to be a part of my life so baby steps would be to join a group chat. In college take a swig of coffee with some friends I got from class and talk about everything. For my old friends that I barely talk to, I know I have to work to earn their friendship back and the best part is the fact I’m trying everyday.
Day 28: Tag someone who you think everyone should follow
@philology-studies and @werelivingarts! Need I say more! Their content is awesome and motivating, I 1000% guarantee their information will help you in any aspect when it comes to organizing yourself and your routine!
@eintsein and @werelivingarts are people who give loads of good advice in the form of text and info graphics! My personal favorites are how to be motivated vs self disciplined and how to study based on your hogwarts house respectively!
I believe there’s a couple I like to read from @philology-studies to @thetinypsychologist. These two offer motivating and excellent methods to study and learn!
I don’t reliably check many blogs actually but I like going into @philology-studies, @emgoesmed, @studywithpaula, and @werelivingarts.
You can make me smile in loads of ways such as by making me laugh, having a nice aesthetic, or by motivating me!
@philology-studies because their aesthetic motivates me to work!❤️
@lit-literature-memes because god knows I enjoy history and literature jokes! 😂
If you’re part of the studyblr community I personally believe you work extremely hard to achieve your goals and motivate the world around you through your accomplishments no matter how big or small you can perceive them to be. Some of you give advice for med school and high school academic success, some of you bring awareness to issues others might’ve not known about, can speak about what you’re interested in be it books, aesthetics, math, languages, or physics—you all work extremely hard and deserve to be proud of yourselves to be part of this community and more importantly of your own successes!
❤️
Arguably everyone from my previous posts have lovely aesthetics! Some to add on to those would be:
@studyingvenus @iwoulddie4-poetry @werelivingarts
And there’s many more!
I really haven’t met people on studyblr to consider that I would have an emotional attachment such as gratefulness however I am thankful for the entire community especially those in the group chat stu(dying) because their example and their work motivates me to keep on going!
Well I normally think deeply introspectively like what I could do better for myself, for my academics, and what I want to achieve
@emgoesmed embodies this because their studyblr is more organized by to do lists and they seem to have their stuff together. They know what to pack on their plate and how to achieve which is something I need to work on. *Cough cough* taking 9 college classes because brain small and I thought I could handle it *cough cough*.
@lucylangblr she’s one of the langblrs that I first saw and I strive to follow her advice and example. She through learning the variety of languages she knows has opened way more doors to opportunities that could be imagined not only that she’s far more aware of the world by being able to speak these languages: see from different perspectives that aren’t limited by translation.
I personally don’t know many studyblrs all that well but based on what they post and support I believe @charmingly--me is kind to themselves and to the world around them, showing support to the more unfortunate that people don’t tend to see when they think of Thailand for example and is willing to clarify the differences between indigenous people based on the vocabulary used to address them. They also reblog loads of infographics that offer pretty decent advice! Although I believe that many others can be considered kind, I simply haven’t met you yet!
