For about 300 years, the Murakami Family was a part of Japanese royalty, with many of their descendants being raised to be kings, lords, and queens. Himiko was raised to be one of these nobles, and was given everything she ever asked for on a silver platter. When she turned 15, her narcissistic, abusive and self-righteous father decided he wanted to humble his family by living amongst the commoners, much to the dismay of everyone else. Given that Japan had been ruled by the rich 1% from the comfort of the flying city of New Tokyo and the poor had been left to decay in squalid conditions, the commoners saw an opportunity to release their rage on one of the former nobles. The family was constantly harassed by everyone, when all they wanted was to live a peaceful life. Eventually, Himiko’s mother succumbed to illness and died within a month, and she would’ve survived if they’d been living in their palace with the finest doctors. Then one fateful day, the commoners laid siege to their home, strung Himiko, her father, and her sister to the wall, and burned down their house. On that day, something inside of Himiko snapped, and she swore that no matter what, she’d get back at everyone, and burn down everything and everyone they love. She then killed her father, changed her identity, and joined a powerful Yakuza mob, gradually working her way up the ranks until she was the right hand assistant of the leader. She then poisoned and killed him by sprinkling a poisonous lotus flower in his food. Overtaking the crime family, she turned their headquarters into an underground network of assassins called "The Lotus Network", taking the name Lady Lotus. In a year, she was able to take over the entire criminal underworld of Japan, making herself one of the most powerful people in the country. Having established true order in her country, Himiko became a better leader than most of the politicians running Japan, so much so that she became a member of Japanese high society, though she had no desire to join New Tokyo's society, seeing it for the shallow garden of narcissism and apathy it truly is. She ran Japan better than anyone else, as she actually gave a shit about the people living under her. When she took control, she made the economy stable, provided free health care, and made sure everyone in Japan was happy and content. Unfortunately, she made things better through a lot of shed blood. Deciding that Earth would be a better place with her as its benevolent queen, Lady Lotus set her sights on the entire world. No matter the cost, she'll make the world a better place.
Villains: Geoffrey Seid
Having been born into a poor family in Texas, Geoffrey Seid has always had a desire for the finer things in life. His family was incredibly religious, preaching the word of the gospel every day of their lives. But despite his family's prayer for a better life, they always remained poor. Wanting to bring his family some much-needed wealth, Geoffrey became a con artist, scamming people out of their savings with clever manipulation. Years later, Geoffrey had built quite a successful life for himself, switching from pension scams to working as a televangelist. Using all of the clever tactics televangelists use. However, when his family was killed during one of Bonfire's battles with Hobgoblin, Geoffrey began to develop a hatred for all super-people. He began to preach this hatred during his program, saying that superheroes and villains are all servants of evil, and will ultimately bring about the end of the world. This caused anti-super resentment to grow all throughout Harking City, with people starting to distrust their protectors. Meanwhile, Geoffrey was using his fortune to form a cult of anti-super extremists called the SRS (Super Rejection Society). Wanting nothing more than to wipe all supers off the face of the Earth, Geoffrey and the SRS attacked one of Lady Lotus' black market warehouses and stole some of the high-tech supervillain weapons being stored there. One of the weapons they stole was Hobgoblin's mutagen serum, and they turned it into a virus that would kill anyone exposed to the Super-Power Serum, which is thousands of people. Catching wind of this plot, P.E.A.C.E sent their non-superpowered members to confront the cult, that being Ryuko, Joker, Prankster, and Task Force V. After taking down the cult, Ryuko and Prankster deliver a speech to the entire world, telling everyone why they're necessary and that they aren't responsible for what their villains do.
Villains: The Truth (Howard Skarsgard)
Howard has always been obsessed with the truth, working as an investigative journalist for Harking City Daily. His investigations would always expose conspiracies. Unfortunately, he dug too deep. While investigating Wickman Industries, he uncovered all of the supervillain dealings that Mangrove Wickman (The Crow) was up to. Learning of this, Crow used his connections to kill Howard and his family. Planting a bomb in his apartment, Howard's family was vaporized in their sleep, and Howard was disfigured. Having lost his family and his career, he disappeared. Years later, a new killer appeared in Harking City. His modus operandi was attacking the subsidiaries of Wickman Industries, killing various people that worked for the company. Calling himself "The Truth" he live-streamed his attacks for everyone to see. He burned down a crooked millionaire's penthouse and blew up the 2nd National Bank before exposing their wrongdoings. His crusade would gain traction online, amassing thousands of followers. Soon, riots began all over the city, with people dressing up as Truth and attacking associates of Wickman Industries. The heroes were scattered throughout the city, trying to contain the riots and save innocent people caught in the crossfire. The followers stormed the Wickman tower and tore it apart. Fearing for his life, Crow and his family took shelter in their safe house at Hawking Towers. Unfortunately, Truth and his followers stormed the safe house and took Crow and his family hostage. He reveals himself to be Howard Skarsgard and plans to kill his family to make him suffer as he did before taking Crow to Harking City Square and executing him. Fortunately, the heroes stopped Howard before he could. However, they let his information be released, and Wickman Industries was taken down, killing two birds with one stone. Crow and his subordinates were sent to prison, and Howard was sent to Belbridge Tower.
Villains: The Wonderland Gang
White Rabbit: Wendy Philips was born into a rich family that profited by gentrifying rundown neighborhoods. Despite living a well-to-do life, she was sickened by the family business, as they ran poor people out of their homes in order for rich people to move in. Not wanting to live off the suffering of the poor, she ran away from her home and moved into the Industrial District. She then tried to help the homeless children by offering them a home in an abandoned steel mill that she converted into her home. However, despite all that she did to help these people, nothing was ever enough. Seeing that the entire system was the problem, Wendy decided to dedicate her life to rebelling against it. At first, she just spent her time committing acts of petty vandalism, but she was able to step up her game thanks to the Hobgoblin. During his gas attack, she and her best friends were mutated by the gas, causing them to develop superpowers. Wendy gained the ability of super speed, allowing her to run as fast as Black Streak II. Using these powers to step up her game, Wendy (now calling herself "White Rabbit '') led her team of friends in order to truly do some damage against the system. Now their objective is to tear down "The System'', and turn Harking City into an anarchic utopia where class is nonexistent and money no longer matters. Despite her rather cut-throat agenda, White rabbit still has a massive amount of compassion, and never tries to hurt innocent people. She's not above killing, but she'll only kill if it's a last resort. After she and the gang cross paths with Cheshire Cat, she saw how similar the two of them are, and tried everything to convince her to join her side.
Dormouse: Molly Madsen was the daughter of extremely young parents. Despite her being very well-meaning, she also suffered aichmomania (obsession with Knives). This caused her to unintentionally scare away any potential friends. After her parents were arrested for vehicular manslaughter whilst drunk driving, she was forced to live with her cruel aunt, who relentlessly punished her for being "Abnormal". At the age of 11, she finally ran away from her house. While trying to shoplift a 10-pack of knives from a hunting store, she was chased down and viciously beaten by a group of asshole cops. Fortunately, she was saved by Wendy Philips, who then offered her a home at her makeshift children's home. Despite being only a few years older than her, Wendy was more of a mother figure to Molly than anyone else she'd known. During Hobgoblin's gas attack, Molly was one of the people who was mutated. She developed the ability to grow and shrink like Ant-Man. She now works as the Dormouse of the Wonderland Gang and is one of the most helpful and useful members of the team.
Tweedle Dee: Daniel Dumfrey was born into a broken home. His father was an abusive drunk who also worked as a machinist. Since he couldn't afford to have his son go to school, he'd often take his son with him to the garage. During his time there, Daniel picked up some skills of the trade and even learned how to construct several small devices. Daniel is also quite mischievous and was known for pulling pranks around the shop. Unfortunately, his father couldn't sanction his buffoonery, and would often take his anger out on his son for messing around. After his father was killed in a car accident, Daniel was forced to live on his own. He ended up living on the streets, using his cunning and trickery to help him survive. After tricking the wrong people, Daniel was nearly beaten to death by a gang of bullies. Fortunately, he was saved by Wendy Phillips, who beat up the bullies and scared them away. She then offered Daniel a place at her home, which he gladly accepted. After getting mutated during Hobgoblin's gas attack, he developed the ability to duplicate himself. Now working as Tweedle Dee of the Wonderland Gang, he's a loyal and useful member of the team.
March Hare: Elliot Summers was dealt a bad hand since the day he was conceived. While still a fetus, his mother became a cocaine addict. Because of this, he was born addicted to coke as well. Living the majority of his childhood in a rundown apartment in the industrial district, his mind never was nurtured in the proper environment. At the age of 13, he accidentally burned down the apartment while playing with some matches. His mother and several other people were killed in the fire, and the entire building was destroyed. Now without a home, Elliot was moved into a foster home that was run by a cruel Mother Superior. She'd always punish who she deemed bad kids, and Elliot was among the unlucky few. After running away from the orphanage at the age of 15, he was forced to survive on the streets of Old Town, which were rife with gang violence. One cold Christmas night, he was discovered by Wendy Philips, who offered him a home in her makeshift children's home. Seeing no other options, he graciously accepted. While living with Wendy and her orphaned children, Wendy showed special care for Elliot, as she knew that he was a person who needed as much care as possible. During Hobgoblin's gas attack, Elliot was among those who were mutated. He would end up developing low-level psychic powers, allowing him to drive people temporarily insane. Unfortunately, these powers mixed with his already fragile mental state drove Elliot over the edge of madness, and he wound up developing Paranoid Schizophrenia.
Villains: The Crow (Mangrove Wickman)
Mangrove Wickman was born into one of the richest families in Harking City. His father owned an aerodynamics firm that made his family good friends with the Air-force. He was an incredibly cruel man who abused his kids for underachieving at school. Mangrove had an affinity for birds and wanted to become an Ornithologist. His father hated this and wanted him to become the new head of the company. When Mangrove tried to stand up to his father, his father punished him by sending him away to a boarding school. During his time at the school, Mangrove was picked on and bullied due to his love for birds. One day, the bullies pulled a cruel prank on him by coating him in birdseed and locking him in the aviary. All of the birds he cared for instantly swarmed him and pecked and bit his face to oblivion. This horribly disfigured his face, and he was forced to wear a mask to hide all of his scars. Tired of the abuse, Mangrove finally struck back. During his time working in the aviary, he secretly trained the birds to follow his command. He then struck at his bullies by training a swarm of birds to attack his bullies in the courtyard. After graduating from school, he began to formulate his master plan in order to get back at his father. While his father was hosting a cocktail party at the top of Wickman tower, he made his return by appearing before his father on the balcony. After chastising his father for his heartless and cruel actions, Mangrove took his revenge by training a flock of crows to attack his father, which led to him falling off the balcony to his death. Mangrove then took over his father's company and used his newfound wealth and connections to gain more power, feeling entitled and jealous of those who have powers. Wickman Industries is the most powerful company in Harking City and controls everything. But despite having all of this power, Mangrove wants to be able to fly and shoot energy from his hands.
