I genuinely need to know if there’s a transpecies term for fictionkins, cause damn, I godda turn into Shigaraki you guys 💔

I recently found out my canine theriotype is actually a wolf dog (probably a Aussie or karst Shepard) and ever since I found out about that I’ve been feeling a lot more animalistic. I’ve had the urge to do quads a lot more, I desperately need hear of my theriotype, I’ve been ah e the urge to bake and howl at the moon a lot more too

Something really important I want alterhumans who may be struggling with mental issues or delusions is that you are no less alterhuman. As someone who struggles with delusions sometimes those can mix into your alterhumanity in a really annoying way. I hope you can one day get the help you need and enjoy your otherkinity however makes you happy! <3

Hi! friendly alterhuman reminder

your identity isn't static.

no one's is, neither our nor our human friends, we are forever changing, and this includes your kins. It is okay to gain an identity later in life, it is okay to lose one, this isn't static, this isn't forever. Ans that's okay. That's normal. Thats a part of life, your life.

do not feel guilty for losing connection with your older kins, maybe they were spiritual and you outgrew the age they died and there's no one to follow you anymore?

do not feel like you're faking for gaining connection to a kin later in life, maybe they were psychological and formed due to a recent experience?

do not feel guilty for experiencing any fluidity, not only your kins are fluid, your favorite color, your favorite band or animal, it all forms your identity, and that is forever changing, any and all experiences form you and your kins are not exempt from that! let them shape themselves, let them grow with you, theyre a part of you after all.

Let yourself grow.

Been meaning to say this for a while, but here's a not so gentle reminder that you don't have to be skinny, white and able bodied to be part of the nonhuman community.

Racism and ableism is sadly rampant in this community and I want this blog to be safe for the beings that feel excluded! Therianthropy is not voluntary, it is not about gear, it is not something you choose to participate in or leave (although you do not have to interact with the community)

There is a wide spectrum of Therians out there; discrediting any of them is extremely rude. Therians are Therians as long as they understand what that label is and identify with it.

Stop saying therianthropy is strictly spiritual/past lives, that it is strictly non-physical, or that all therians are aware of their humanity (esp. if you say it's at all times)

to all the "cute" animals out there who might need to hear this

gender is weird, my gender is weird

I'm trans in the sense I was born without a gender so whatever gender I experience will be trans

but because I wasn't born with a gender the gender I live in will not have changed from something else so I'm also cis

but I'm not cisgender or transgender. I've lived and do live the life of both but I am neither

I'm also not a human, my species doesn't have a concept of gender. My gender is barely hanging on as a man but is still a man, a man through wildness and being untamed, the best way I could present myself in the society I live in

my species dysphoria affects ALL aspects of myself. some people seem to think it's just getting a tail and ears and suddenly all's well that ends well- but no. that's not what it's like for me. it runs so much deeper than that. this ENTIRE body is wrong- it's SPECIES dysphoria. my SPECIES is WRONG. I should have been born my kintype. why I wasn't, why I was cursed to be a species that does not fit me, I will never know.

I forgot to post this here but some months ago me n my friends created the term adopthing/adothing (ado(pt) · adopt + thing) which stands for "term for something you feel that belongs to you (as something adopted/offspring/child of yours) in a nonhuman way".

For example, an adopthing could be a plushie you treat as a pup of yours, like a wolf plushie. Or a doll or object you really like; even an animal or something similar.

You know when someone says that a character is “their child”? I feel like that's adopthing, but for nonhumans™.

are there any nonhuman who are their species due to trauma with that species? I know of those who are their species caused by a trauma response but for example, a dogkin because they had been bitten by a dog

no one has to share due to trauma being a personal experience, but if anyone would like too I am very curious and would like to learn more!
