talking about transmasc issues is crazy because if your post gets popular you'll have someone say "your issues are real but you shouldn't use a word for it" and the very next reply will be something along the lines of "I'm going to rape you and get you pregnant"
If you actually take the threat of forced detransition seriously, then you should recognize "Conservative transphobes don't want to kill transmascs, they just want to detransition them" for the callous and out-of-touch statement that it is.
"Ugh, you're actually lucky they don't want to kill you, they just want to permanently cut you off from gender-affirming care, rape you, trap you in marriage and pregnancy, and force you to live the rest of your life as their property."
Wow, I feel so blessed.
can we talk about how when you try to make a relationship 'equal' between you and an abuser, they will always see it as you 'flipping the script' or 'engaging in reactive abuse' because if they aren't superior to you then they feel like you're threatening them? Like homie just saying 'Don't do this, it hurts me, every time you've done this it hurts me' and 'treat people like you want to be treated. if you're mean to me, I can be mean back' is apparently as bad as...checks notes... you beating and raping me and spreading lies about me to the public from your position of power. You don't owe your abuser the 'perfect victim. Fighting back is not something to be ashamed of.
M0re 0f Trash, this is m0re them reacting t0 0ther pe0ple talking.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE SHOW GO UP TO THE FRENCH REV
Versailles while horrible inaccurate is surprisingly good. Like it can be messy with characterizations at times but it’s also very entertaining. I love the character of Philippe of Orleans. Although I don’t see why they had to make him rape poor Henriette it literally was just in their for shock value and hardly made sense.
Speaking of which why don’t they bring in the two daughters of Henriette and Philippe? I see this as a trend in historical tv shows, excluding daughters and younger sons when they often are very important and go on to populate the houses of Europe (Lol Margaret Tudor in The Tudors). I can understand not showing the various children that Louis XIV had with his Queen other then his surviving son, since they all died young and having that many child actors could stress the production. But Philippe’s daughters go on to have very important lives from what I understand, one marries Charles II of Spain in an alliance with France, and the other ends up inheriting the Jacobite claim to the throne of Great Britain as well as populating many royal houses with her children.
This is a similar problem that The Tudors had, many wanted the show to continue after the death of Henry VIII but Michael Hirst had literally written himself into a giant mess by not including Princess Mary Tudor daughter Frances Grey nor including how Mary Queen of Scots was a potential Tudor heir. He literally couldn’t continue the show on to the next generation due his inability to see ahead.
Versailles might run into a similar problem if they keep cutting out the younger children. They might be forced to cut the story after the death of Louis XIV when they should continue right up to the French Revolution. The show is named Versailles after all, and I would like to see it go passed just the simply construction of it. It should show how the genius idea of Louis XIV, to bring the nobles to heel, ended up being the destruction of the monarchy. This will be hard to do if they continue to cut out characters.
Here, have some recommendations of Advanced Gay literature!
1. Fires of the Faithful/ Turning the Storm by Naomi Kritzer. This duet is mostly a fantasy novel; the protagonist is also lesbian. There are some religious themes, but the protagonist could probably best be described as agnostic-ish. You can find the first one on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Fires-Faithful-Naomi-Kritzer/dp/0553585177
2. Proxy by Alex London. I’m not sure if it quite qualifies as Advanced Gay literature, as homophobia still exists in that universe and negatively affects one of the two protagonists, who is gay. I’m granting it a spot on the list mostly because the main problems are not the result of homophobia. It’s on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Proxy-Alex-London/dp/014751133X
3. The Just City by Jo Walton. This book is about a group of people trying to set up Plato’s Republic. If you don’t like philosophy, you’ll probably find it boring, but if you do, especially Plato’s works, you might like it. Several characters are mentioned to be in relationships with people of the same gender. Although sexual attraction to anyone is discouraged, this isn’t applied any more harshly to the same-gender-attracted characters. I will warn you that there are a few rape scenes, so if that bothers you you should probably stay away. It’s on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Just-City-Thessaly-Jo-Walton/dp/0765332663
Those are just the first few to come to mind; if you want more recommendations message me.
tfw you pick up a Gay Novel TM at the library but upon reading it discover its all about being gay and how hard tm it is but you already graduated this level of beginners gay and youre mad bc you cant find Advanced Gay literature
I’m not sure if you guys know what’s happening in Sudan right now cause all I’m seeing are posts about raising awareness without giving a proper coverage in regards to what’s happening there or how it all started. The Sudanese people have been peacefully protesting for months to remove Omar Al-Bashir from office (a dictator and a human rights violator, a president who has been in power for 3 decades. Mind you, Sudan has been an independent country only for 63 years). The pro-democracy protests were lead by an organization called The Sudanese Professionals Association (تجمع المهنيين السودانيين), a group lead by doctors and local unions. The oppressed minorities in the country with the less oppressed Arab majority lead by the SPA came together to overthrow Al-Bashir by peacefully protesting. A large number of protestors were women in front rows of every single protest since last December. The Sudanese people succeeded in overthrowing the government on 11 April 2019 but the military stepped in to run the transitional government, they’re the ones causing the recent killings, rape and violations you’re hearing about right now. The military ruling right now is composed of people like general Hemediti, a man who has been accused of human rights violation years ago for arming militias and unleashing them on the rebels and civilian farmers in Darfur. He was recorded a few days ago threatening protestors who want to see civilian rule. The SPA is fighting back by calling for civil disobedience and nationwide strike. They’re still fighting for their fundamental demands which started all of the protests. They’re fighting for a civilian government, empowering women and ending the brutal militias. The peaceful protestors are being killed, raped and arrested. There has been an internet blackout and people are being silenced. Spreading awareness and making people pay attention to the current events will aid a lot in ending the terror Sudanese people are facing. People have been protesting for months to end the country’s suffering by overthrowing a dictator, their hard work can not end in them being ruled by militias and new dictators. This can’t be how it ends for them and we need to help in changing that. We have to be their voice now, they rely on us.
Of fucking course
What sick bastard doesn’t
