Dive into a world of creativity!
you didn't mind giving people kisses, it was your way of telling people you loved them. everyone had known that your love language was physical touch. there was only one person you got nervous to kiss. it was the one and only, remus lupin.
it wasn't that you were scared of him or scared of his scars, because god knows that you wanted to kiss every one of his scars. you were scared that if you did, you wouldn't be able to stop.
a kiss on the cheek;
you sat on the edge of the couch arm, listening in on james and mary's conversation. remus sat next to you reading a new book as always, barley engaging with his friends around him. he'd look up every now and then, but his face was mostly in his book.
"dove, wouldn't it be more comfortable sitting on the couch?" you turned your head to see who remus was talking to, before looking at him with your brows furrowed.
"me?" he gave a quick chuckle.
"yes you, dove, sitting on the couch arm seems uncomfortable. isn't it?" he placed his book face down against his legs, his arm extended placing it closer to your hip.
"i- sure, but it'll be a tight squeeze." you stood to your feet, walking a few feet. his eyes didn't leave yours.
"i don't mind being close to you." you gave him a quick smile before you sitting down, legs pressed against each other. you quickly placed a kiss against his cheek.
"thank you, remus." you said before turning to talk to lily.
"anytime, dove."
a kiss on the forehead;
you stood alongside the hospital bed. you were upset. how could he have not told you? you two were friends, were you not? did he not trust you? had you done something for him to think that? did he think that? did he think you were going to tell someone about him? you wouldn't, you would never do that.
your eyes scanned his friends who sat in the beds next to him before your eyes flickered back to remus again. you took a deep breath, before watching his eyes flutter open. "remus, are you alright? would you like me to get the nurse?"
"shh, dove, relax please." he quickly sat, groaning from the pain, before looking completely at you. he noticed the dried tear stains against your face, the way your lips were plummed from you biting them, or the fact that your nails were chipped due to your constant picking.
"relax, remus? you want me to relax?" you spat, your face had turned from comforting to mad in less than a few seconds. who did he think he was, to tell you to relax? "you were passed out! in the forbidden forest! and don't sit there and lie to me! remus, because i know."
"darling, please under-"
"no, i don't understand, remus. why didn't you tell me? aren't we friends? did you not trust me?" you could feel your heart beating out of your chest, like if it went too fast it might just stop. you bit your tongue, trying to hold back the tears that started forming in your eyes.
"dove, i do trust you. i- i just didn't know how to tell you. i didn't want you to look at me differently." his eyes scanned your face, he could see the tears starting to form.
"i would never look at you differently, remus. you are everything to me, i care about your well-being." you quickly slipped your hand into his, before giving him a genuine smile.
"thank you, dove." you quickly moved your face towards him, before placing your lips against his forehead. a wave of your perfume hit him in the face, and it wasn't that it was too much. it was that he hadn't smelt it in so long.
"i could care less if you were a goblin or an elf, remus."
a kiss on the nose;
you had asked remus to join you in the library so he could help you study. you really didn't need his help, you just wanted to spend time with him. it wasn't like he cared, he'd drop everything to spend time with you.
you stood by the front door of the library, waiting for remus to be in view. your lip was a bit swollen from you biting them. you scanned everyone before scanning the lengthy man, with his cream sweater and his books in hand. his sandy brown hair barley over his eyes. his eyes looked up to met yours before a smile was placed on both of your face.
"hi, remmy." you managed to spit out.
"hi, dove, what did you need help with again?" he barley had time to register what happened before you grabbed his hand and dragged him to a corner of the library.
"i was wondering if you could help me with the history project. i think i understand it, but at the same time i don't, you know?" his face was scrunched up, he knew you were excellent at history of magic.
"uhh, you need my help, dove, you're sure?"
"of course, remus." you quickly sat down, moving some things so you had room to write and such.
"alright then." he quickly placed his bag down on the floor against the chair, before grabbing the papers in front of you.
you watched as his eyes scanned the papers. you quickly looked away, flustered at the thought of being caught looking at him. was it weird that you were watching him? would he think it was weird?
you searched for anything to look at, before seeing another guy. your eyes scanned him up and down from his blue converse to his white turtleneck. you turned to remus again, who was already looking at you. he quickly cleared his throat, before grabbing one of the books. he may have placed the book too close to his face causing him to hit himself.
"shit-"
"oh remus, are you alright?" you quickly cupped his face, checking to see the damage.
"i'm fine, just hit myself is all." he quickly rubbed his nose, before his eyes flickered to look into yours. you quickly placed your lips against his nose, to kiss it better.
"there, now you're all better." you said, letting go of his face before turning to grab the book he had.
"thanks, dove."
a kiss on the lips;
you stood in front of remus, after a long night of being alone together. you had finally managed to find the courage to tell how you felt about him.
your eyes watched remus as the cigarette in his mouth, you watched as the ash began to build up. "are you only going to stare, dove" his head tilted towards yours, his hand dragging the cigarette out of his mouth.
"what? oh- no." you turned your head fast.
"do you want a smoke?"
"no i'm fine, thanks though." you debated if you should tell him, there was a possibility that he might like you back. "remus?" he answered with a hum. "i love you."
it went silent for a couple minutes, before remus looked at you fully again. the cigarette that was once in his mouth was gone. "no you don't, dove."
"i do, i love you, remus. i'm in love with you." he stayed quiet allowing you to speak. "i've loved you since we first met."
"y/n, you don't understand."
"if you don't love me, i'll leave. tell me you don't love me." you shouted.
"it's not that-"
"tell me." you demanded, he continued to argue with you. he tried to deny his feelings for you. "tell me! tell me, remus! tell me you don't love me! tell me and i'll leave you alone!"
"of course i do! of course i love you! it's hard not to love you! but i'm- i'm a monster!" he shouted "y/n, why would you want to be with a monster?"
"you're not a monster to me, you're just remus." you tried to keep the tears bottled inside of you, but they had begun to spill out.
"dove, please don't cry. i do, i do love you. i have loved you for as long as i can remember."
"remmy-" remus quickly cupped your face before pulling you into a kiss. it felt like time had stopped around the both of you. remus pride your mouth open with his tongue, allowing it to roam around your mouth. you quickly pulled away, catching your breath. "i love you, remus."
"i love you too, dove."
notes: i may have made this too long and i honestly don't know what is going on. i might fix it later on, anyways i hope you liked it. xxx
you stood in front of the mirror. your white dress hitting the floor. the vail tucked into your nicely done hair. you had butterflies swirling all around inside of you. you tried hard to stomach the tears that wanted to fall out.
you loved remus, truly you did but marriage was scary. it was always a what if. what if it doesn't work? what if this what if that. you knew it would be just the two of you for the rest of your lives. inside that small cottage. you wanted it just like that too. remus wanted it more.
"you look beautiful y/n." lily said knocking you out of your thoughts.
"thank you, lils" you said ironing your dress with your hands. "am i supposed to be this nervous?" you said turning and looking at her.
"of course! your just having cold feet. god knows i was nervous marrying mary." she said while fixing her eyeshadow
"can you get him?" you asked making her stop and look at you.
"it's bad luck for-"
"i know, lily. i just need to talk to him, is all." you reassured her
"oh alright, give me a moment." she said walking out the room quickly.
you let out a shaky breath before turning back to the mirror. it felt like an entirety, waiting for him to come.
you heard a simple knock alerting you that it was remus. you quickly spun on your heels before cracking the door. "remmy?"
"hi dove, everything alright?" he questioned, he was nervous. there were so many thoughts going through his head. what if you wanted to call it off. what if this. what if that.
"everything's fine, rem. just needed to hear your voice." you mumbled, you slipped your hand through the door, feeling him press his lips against it before holding it in his.
"good. good."
"remmy, everything's going to be ok, right?" you asked, you were nervous but that was a given.
"everything's fine, love." he reassured, rubbing his thumb against the back of your hand.
"i didn't mean to scare you. just having some jitters, is all."
"i understand, 'it's normal' james keeps saying. dove?"
"yeah?" you could feel him slide your engagement ring up and down your ring finger.
"you want this, right? you're not scared of what the future is going to bring us?" he questioned, letting go of your hand entirely.
"of course i'm scared, it's a new chapter for the both of us, but i also know that you're the one i want to be."
"i should finish getting ready though, i don't want to be late." he joked
"yeah, don't want to be late to our own event." you added to his joke causing him to chuckle.
"alright, i'll leave you to it then."
"i love you, remus." you said before he turned and walked away.
"i love you too, dove." he said before shutting the door.
remus' eyes fluttered open, seeing your side of the bed empty. he furrowed his brows before sitting up. "dove?" he called out, wiping his eyes before scrambling out of bed. he walked out of the bedroom, making his way straight into the kitchen. seeing you, spreading the butter and jam on the toast. he slid his arms around your waist causing you to jump and turn around to see the sleepy sandy haired boy. "remus, you scared me!"
"hmm. what are you doing?" he asked while placing soft kisses to your neck. "making you toast with jam on it." he watched as you continued to spread the jam before turning around and facing him. "honey, go back to bed." you said swatting his hands off of you and kissing his nose. "no! i want to be with you, dove." he said reattaching his hands against yours.
"fine, here grab this, let's go." you said, remus turned on his heels and began walking towards the bedroom. he could hear you mumble something but ignored it. remus sat quickly, placing the plate alongside him. he watched as you entered the room, smiling as you walked up to him. he looked at you as you stood in-between his legs. his eyes didn't leave yours. he noticed you grabbed the plate again and picked up a piece of toast. "bite love." he quickly took a bite. the mixture of the jam and the butter fighting to top one another. the crunch of the toast making him want to melt.
"i wanna go back to bed, dove." he muttered before taking another bite. "i know but you forgot to eat dinner last night." you argued before placing you thumb against the corner of his lips and wiping whatever jam and butter got left behind. he watched as you quickly licked your thumb as he took another bite. "i need you to remember to eat, remmy. you can get sick if you don't."
"i know dove. i know. i just- i've been busy, is all." he spat quickly before watching you grab another piece and him taking another one. "no more love, full." he mumbled, watching as you smiled and moved the plate the dresser. he loved moments like this, it nade him fall more in love with you. "i love you remmy." you said wiping his lips. "i love you too, dove" he stood quickly "want to go back to bed, rem?" you questioned
"only if you join me, dove."
he still didn't tell you how he felt. he tried his best to keep it professional. the way you looked in that white button up shirt and black pencil skirt. the way your breast pressed against the fabric, they looked like they were screaming to be let out. he only imagined how they'd look pressed against his table. he watched you every time you got up and had to readjust your skirt. he smirked when you weren't looking. he'd watch you walk out swaying your hips, he couldn't help but look at your ass. he gave you more paper work to stay late with him. he loved seeing you.
"sir?" it snapped him out of his thoughts. "uhh yes, y/n?" he questioned. he looked you up and down before meeting your eyes again. "i was wondering if you had anymore paperwork, you need me to do?" you questioned, "yes- yes hold on." he quickly turned in his chair and grabbed the small stack behind him. "these need to be filed by tomorrow." he said handing you the stack. "of course sir." you said before walking out.
he watched your ass as you walked out. he felt his pants tightened with arousal. his hand flew to unbuckle his pants. he quickly slid his hand underneath the band of his boxers. looping his hand around his hardened cock. he was to busy motioning his hand back and forth to see you rushing back into his office. you opened the door stopping in your tracks seeing him. he quickly looked up, embarrassment trapping him, making his hand fly out of his pants, he quickly stood adjusting himself to zip his pants back up.. "y/n, i am so sorry you had to see that!" he quickly said. you quickly closed the door, before turning around. "sir, if i may?" you asked, eye looking him up and down.
"umm.. what is it?" he asked, he watched as you walked up to him. "may i- may i help you?" he couldn't help but feel hot, he just watched you before nodding and sitting back down. he watched as you dropped to your knees and your hands quickly flew to his zipper. he watched as you unzipped and pulled down the band of boxers. allowing his cock to release and sprung up due to the entrapment of his boxers. you looked up at him meeting his eyes already on you. you licked your lips before allowing yourself to take him in. your hands clasped what couldn't fit inside your warm mouth. you could hear his small breath of air release out his mouth.
you began to bob your head, eyes shooting up to see him. his eyes still on you, he moved the hair out of your face. "god, you are such a good girl. taking me so well." he said smiling at you, he could only hear the moan of excitement due to his praising. he smirked listening to your muffled moans, he quickly wrapped his hand around your hair so he could see your face. you could feel him twitch, "good girl- good girl. just like that pretty girl. i'm close baby, keep going." he mutter before throwing his head back, mouth parted open. he muttered a fuck before he shot down your throat. he looked back down and before he could even register what you were doing. you were wiping your thumb across your lips to catch the rest of the cum and licked it off. you looked back at him, glossy eyed. "my turn pretty, come on."
when you woke you could barely remember anything that happened the night before, let alone where you were. waking up in his bed. remus' bed. how did you even get there?
"morning." you heard from the door frame, remus holding two coffee mugs. you furrowed your brows "how?"
"take some advil and drink your coffee, then we'll talk." he said walking up to you and handing you a mug. "just how you like it."
you muttered a thanks before throwing two pills in your mouth and swallowing a gulp of coffee. the burning sensation running along your throat.
remus sat down next to you, sipping on his coffee before meeting your eye.
"what happened last night?" you said, trying to remember
"a lot." he said setting his coffee down and repositioning himself.

No one could truly ever tell how Remus would act around the full moon and to whom. So you could only ever prepare for the constants.
Remus was always physically and mentally drained as his body was preparing him for the transformation. His body would ache. Some months could be much more painful than other months. He was always tired, unable to sleep more than three hours if he was lucky. He was normally restless and tended to bounce his knee, chew on his nails or lip, and fidget with things around him.
Some months he was more angry than anything, others he was more depressed. A week before the full moon was the earliest these side effects occurred. It might start earlier in the week or the middle or at the latest a couple days before.
Walking into the great hall, your eyes immediately searched for your love. Upon seeing him you examined his posture and believed you knew what type of day today would be.
When you got closer you saw James piling some of Remusâ favorite foods on the plate in front of him. Your boyfriend had his hands covering his ears. You believed this to be a subconscious movement to keep out all the noise of the great hall.
James noticed you first, sending you a grateful smile as you sat next to Remus. Far enough to not startle him but close enough so that he could sense your presence.
âHey, honey.â You said softly to alert him that it was you beside him, but not too quietly that he couldnât hear you.
You didnât hear what he mumbled but you took it as a greeting. You gently placed your hand on his back and rubbed it in hope to ease his tension.
Remus was always distant at first, the insecurities plagued his mind. You just needed to be consistent and slowly move towards him.
In the beginning you sat awkwardly next to him. James chatted with Sirius as the black haired boy played wizards chess with Peter. James continued to stuff more food on Remusâ plate, doing his best to encourage him to eat.
Soon enough, Remus allowed himself to find comfort in your presence, and ate a few bites of the food James had given him. It wasnât enough, but you knew he was trying.
Sirius slammed his hands on the table in frustration from the loss of the chess match. Remus jumped slightly, which earned Sirius a glare from you.
âSorry, Moons.â He sounded sorry, so you let it go.
Remus just snuggled further into you, taking deeper breaths in an attempt to calm himself. The position the two of you were in was odd to the eye, but it was the best, and most comfortable you could do at the grand tables.
Soon, the owls entered, dropping packages, and hooting loudly. Two packages that were nearly the exact same in size and shape landed in front of James and Sirius.
The two of them grinned and picked their packages up at the same time. If you werenât so worried about Remus, you wouldâve laughed at how similar James and Siriusâ movements were.
âGifts from Effie.â Sirius grinned at your questioning gaze.
You watched curiously as James and Sirius opened the packages. They both pulled out a delicately wrapped box of sweets and a pouch of coins.Â
âFor the upcoming Hogsmeade trip.â Sirius said absent-mindedly, he gave Remus a sympathetic look knowing that the full moon was this weekend.
âCome on, letâs go back to our dorm.â James said, after he placed the items back into his own box.
You nodded, and rubbed the back of Remusâ neck before whispering Jamesâ words to Remus.
He nodded and stood up, swaying slightly. You were quick to grab his hand and walk with him out of the great hall. You tried to persuade him into leaning on you but he was still well aware that if he were to fall, he would crush you.
Thankfully, Peter was at Remusâ other side, helping support some of his weight. While Sirius hung behind, and James led.
You saw his shoulders visibly relax when you were far enough away from the noise that was the great hall.
ââââââââââââââââ
âUnder the cloak you go.â James said, throwing his invisibility cloak over you and Remus.
If someone were to see you going into the marauders dorms, talk would arise and it wouldnât be good for any of you.
When in their dorm, Remus subconsciously moved towards his bed and flopped down as if he had worked tirelessly all day long, even though it wasn't even noon.
You sat on the edge of his bed. Remus, sensing your proximity, moved so that his head laid in your lap.
All the marauders kept glancing at Remus in worry. James the most. So it wasnât a shock when said boy spoke up, âHe should stay in the dorm today.â
You nodded in agreement, âIâm gonna stay too.â
âYou sure?â It was Sirius
âOne of us could stay with him.â Peter offered
You shook your head, sending them off to class with a murmur of thanks.
Looking down, you noticed Remus had fallen asleep. You smiled, knowing around these times he got all his sleep from naps.
âââââââââââ
Hours later you were awoken from the firm grip on your thighs. Remusâ head was shaking, eyes scrunched up and he was sweating.
You caressed his face, trying to comfort him. He seemed to relax a little.
âRemus.â You called gently, shaking him awake.
It took him a few minutes to come to terms as to where he was.
âWhat time is it?â He asked quietly.
You glanced around for a clock, before noticing the muggle kid watch you had bought for James last year as a gag gift. You squinted trying to make out the time.
âAbout two hours after noon.â You answered, trying to relieve the tension in your back and shoulders without disturbing Remus.
Remus groaned in annoyance. He moved to try and get up, but the hand you placed on his back easily convinced him to give up and continue to lay down.
âYou should try to get some more sleep.â You said, pushing the strands of hair that stuck to his sweaty forehead away from his face.
âNo use.â He answered and your heart aches for him.
âI should start you a bath.â You moved to gently lift Remusâ head from your lap but he halted you with a grab of your wrist.
âDonât leave.â He whined, âI donât want to be alone.â
âIâm just gonna run a bath for you so you donât have to sleep in your own sweat.â You tried
âI donât care.â Remus begged
You effectively placed Remusâ head into the bed despite his protests.
You were more concerned when he moved to sit up. Even in pain, he moved fast, so you couldnât stop him.
He delicately wrapped his arms around your waist and pressed his forehead against your stomach. Despite having his arms around you, you could barely feel him. You knew he was denying the want of tightening his hold on you, afraid of being seen as selfish.
You moved for him, pressing his arms around you tighter and moved closer to him so he could bury his face in your stomach.
âYouâre allowed to want things, Rem. All you have to do is ask me.â You said, rubbing up and down the back of his neck.
âI donât want you to leave me.â You knew he meant more of a break-up sense than a physical sense.
âIâm not going to, my love.â The sound of your endearment caused a small cry from his lips.
âI hate it so much.â
You couldnât even imagine all the pain and suffering Remus had to constantly go through.
âI know, is there anything more I can do to help?â You asked
âJust be here.â He answered quietly
âI promise.â You assured him.
âââââââââââââââ
Eight Years laterÂ
âDonât fuss, Cariad, Itâs not that big, I swear.â Remus chuckled painfully, watching you tend to a wound on his stomach.
âItâs bigger than Iâd like.â You mumble through the flush on your cheeks.
âIt was quite an angry moose, but I rather a wound from him than my own claws.â Remus said
You froze for a moment then picked back up where you left off, not sure if or how you should respond to that.
Remusâ hiss stopped you from a rabbit hole of negative thoughts.
âIâm sorry.â You said absent-mindedly
âThatâs enough cleaning, donât you think, love?âÂ
âJust a little more.â You promised.
When Remus was all bandaged and done he hummed gratefully.Â
âSo,â He began, resting his hands on your hips as you disposed of the bloody cloths. âHow should I repay you for taking such good care of me?âÂ
You hummed, acting as if you were in deep thought, âA kiss or two should be enough payment for me.âÂ
Remus chuckled, âHave I not given you enough kisses today?âÂ
You shook your head, âYou never do.â
The man scoffed teasingly, âI thought I gave you a healthy amount, but it seems I've begun to spoil you.âÂ
âYour fault.â You said affectionately, leaning down while making not to touch a wound.Â
One kiss. Two kisses. Three kisses.Â
He hummed, pressing one kiss to your cheek, âI thought my payment was two kisses.âÂ
âI changed my mind.â You smiled, resting your forehead against his.Â
âMy silly women.â He caressed your cheek.
âSorry, Rem. Youâre stuck with me.âÂ
âThen I shall die the happiest man.â

Stepping out of the fireplace with a flash of green you listened curiously to your surroundings. When you saw that Remus was not in his usual chair you worried that he had bed-ridden himself.
You used the floo powder network to get to the small Wizarding village, the closest to you, in Wales, hoping to find all you needed. You were in luck, but you felt your luck had been used up when you heard the awful coughs from the upstairs of your cottage.
You quickly dashed around your home, anxious to put all of your purchases away and get to your husband.
With record breaking time (by muggle standards) you placed everything in the correct spots, neatly (with the help of your magic), and carried the tray of food, medicine, tea, and water to your bedroom.
âMy love,â You said in greeting, taking in your husband's appearance with regret.
Though you now had access to the Wolfsbane potion, which allowed Remus to keep a sound mind during his monthly transformation, it didnât stop the pain that came leading up or during his transformation. And with the two of you growing older, Remusâ body was unable to recover the way it once could.
But, if we are talking about differences, you should make it a point to mention Remusâ face at the sight of your appearance. His face had once filled with shame, anger, helplessness, and longing when you saw him in such a state. Now, his face brightened increasingly as though you were the hero coming to protect him from the monsters.
âCariad,â he greeted you in his mother tongue while making a move to sit up.
âNone of that, my love, let me help you so you do not strain yourself more.â You rushed to his side as you noticed his movement.
Remus' chuckle sounded painful but he still smiled through his grimace.
âI apologize, my dear, I was quite excited to see you.â He responded.
âI am your wife, you see me everyday.â You say with an airy tone.
Remus made a noise of appreciation as he looked at you with all the wonder in the world.
You brushed some of the wispy hairs from his forehead and kissed it once.
âFever?â Remus questioned
Your lips thinned, âYes.â You moved to open the window in your bedroom.
âDonât worry, my darling.â He replied as if meant to assure you.
âIâve been looking into some muscle relaxer potions.â You said, a little absentmindedly.
Remus shook his head, âYou donât have to do that-â
âI shouldâve done it a long time ago.â You cut in, your tone making it very clear that you didnât want Remusâ disapproval.
Remus grabbed your hand gently, and ran his thumb over the back of your hand in soothing circles, âWhat I mean, is I donât want you to make yourself sick worrying about me.â
âI always worry about you.â You say with vulnerability that you no longer withheld.
Remus smiled, âAs I do you. Whatever will happen, will happen, so letâs enjoy our time now.â
âYes.â You agreed quietly
After a moment of affectionate gazing, that would have Sirius gagging, you said, âI brought you up some food, have you eaten anything?â
Remus shook his head no, causing your brows to furrow in worry, but you looked away so that he would not be displeased.
He noticed anyway, âI wasnât very hungry, and I didnât want to make you rush.â Remus said.
âI suppose we should start keeping some snacks in our room, so that you donât need to face the same problem.â You replied.
Remus nodded, âThat would be a good idea.â His face shown in content, much to your pleasure.
âHere,â using your wand, you levitated the tray of Remusâ food and drinks so that it could comfortably hover in the air above his lap.
âI'll go get some more food, I donât think this will be enough.â You made your way to turn when Remus let out a small shout of disagreement.
âNo!â The tray of food magically moves itself so that Remus doesnât knock it all over as he reaches for you. The look on his face tells you the unspoken words of âall I want is for you to be here.â
âRem.â You start, but Remus only shakes his head.
You let out a little sigh, and Remus grins, knowing heâs won.
You move to your side of the bed, sitting on top of the covers. You watch as Remus digs into his plate while trying to make small talk with you.
When heâs done and the tray is moved, he lays his head on your chest. Your hand subconsciously goes to his head, your nails scratching and soothing him.
âI love you.â You can hear in his voice that heâs about to fall asleep.
âI love you, Rem.â With a gentle kiss upon his forehead you know heâs asleep.

The Potters were well known amongst their loved ones for their famous Christmas Party. Jamesâ parents, even though aging, continued with their parties, and the lot of you attended every year.
After James and Lily got married they started hosting holiday gatherings as well. It was a bit more of an inner circle than what Jamesâ parents did. But you all looked forward to it every year.
âHold on..I got this!â James assured us as he struggled to open the box in his hand.
Little Harry laughed at his fathers clear struggle, earning a grin from James. Lily looked at James strangely.
âJames,â Lily plucked the box from him, âItâs already opened.â Lily opened the box with ease.
A fit of hysterical laughter filled the room.
You were resting on your boyfriend's legs, listening and joining in on conversation as your head rested on his thighs and your hands were intertwined across your stomach.
âYâknow,â Sirius began, âThis reminds me of when we won that quidditch match against Ravenclaw and James got drunk as shit-â
âSirius!â Multiple voices chastised
âWhoops.â Sirius grinned, not even trying to seem guilty. Sirius was spread across a love seat while his boyfriend sat on the floor in front of him.
âI think itâs time for Harry to go to bed.â James said, rushing towards Harry as if Siriusâ swear word would poison his son.
âNot yet, you know he gets fussy when he goes to bed too soon.â Lily stopped her husband
âYeah, Jamie,â Marlene jokes, âItâs a holiday, let the kid stay up.â
âYouâre only saying that because youâve never had to deal with a fussy baby.â Dorcas pointed out
Marlene snorted, âOf course I have, I used to have to babysit my siblings when my parents went out. Iâve dealt with plenty of fussy babies.â The blonde corrected her wife.
âThanks for volunteering to take care of Harry, Marls.â James teased as he gently plopped the four year old in Marleneâs lap.
Marleneâs eyes looked as though they were going to pop out of her head as Harry tried to reach for Marleneâs bottle of beer.
âUh, love, a little help here.â Marlene begged her wife quietly.
âI thought you were used to fussy babies.â Dorcas teased
âI was, but that was a long time ago!â Marlene shrieked as she tried to keep the bottle of alcohol away from the persistent toddler.
âIâll take him.â Sirius scooped Harry up from Marleneâs lap, âIâm his godfather, Iâm amazing when it comes to these types of things.â He said proudly
âYou called us crying because Harry got a paper cut.â Lily deadpanned
âIt was a bad paper cut!â Sirius exclaimed
âIt did look pretty bad.â James agreed quietly with his brother
Sirius grinned, feeling victorious.
Lily sent James a look, âBut you did make it seem like Harry was dying.â James said quietly
Sirius gasped and pointed at Lily, âHow dare you turn him against me. I thought we were closer than this, prongs.â Sirius feigned hurt, âMoony, Wormy, back me up here.â
âLeave me out of it.â Remus said
âIâm sure you meant well, Sirius.â Peter said in a slight sarcastic voice
âThank you, wormy.â Sirius chose to ignore Peter's tone.
âI do not understand how you deal with toddlers all the time, Lils. First, you and James, then Alice and Frank.â Marlene commented
âHow is Alice and Frank?â Lily asked, suddenly very curious about one of her closest friends.
Marlene shrugged, âGood. Me and Dorcas went over for dinner earlier this week. Their little mutant clinged to my leg the entire time.â The blonde complained.
âIt was sweet, he likes you.â Dorcas teased
âTell that to the slobber left on my good pants.â
âI'm glad to hear that.â Lily said, âI got a letter from Mary yesterday morning as well.â
âHow's our sunshine doin?â Sirius asked
âShe and Emmeline are traveling right nowâŚshe thinks Emmeline is going to propose!â Lily's excitement was obvious.
âAbout time.â Sirius spoke up, âHow long have they been together? Since third year?â
âSixth year.â Lily corrected
âYouâre next, Moony.â Peter said teasingly
âYeah, Moony, when are you going to pop the question.â Sirius was only joking. All of them knew why Remus hadnât proposed.
âJust be patient, pads.â Remus jokes
Sirius snorted, âYou sound like my little brother. Though he and his blonde friend were a thing, then I found out heâs seeing some muggle from France.â
âRegulus?â Peter questioned
Sirius nodded, âThe boys a blonde and everything.â Sirius looked towards Marlene, jokingly.
âMust be hot then.â Marlene jokes.

Remus had already changed into his pajamas and climbed into bed. He was only waiting for you to come to bed so he could fall asleep.
Meanwhile, you paced in the living room of your shared cottage. You sent occasional glances towards the basket that held the vials of potion your mom had produced for you.
âLove?â Remus called from the stairs
âIn here!â You called back, you shuffled your feet in nervousness.
What if he didnât like it? What if he thought you were trying to fix him? What if it doesnât work?
Remus peeked his head in the doorway and smiled at you, making your heart melt in love.
âWhatâcha doin? Itâs late.â He walked towards you and stiffened when he saw your uncomfortable posture.
âA-are you okay?â He asked worriedly
You managed a small smile and stepped towards him, straight into his arms and rubbed his back. Mostly to calm yourself.
âI have a present for you.â You whispered
Remus hummed in confusion, he hadnât heard you, you realize.
âI have a present for you.â You said louder, pulling back from his chest but keeping his arms around his waist as his arms stayed around your shoulders.
His brows furrowed, âOkay?â
You sighed, stepping back and walking towards the basket, âSit down.â You said
You heard shuffling and the creak of your chair.
Gently, you pulled a single vial from the basket and walked over to him. Without making eye contact you sank to your knees beside him.
He eyed your figure and chuckled nervously, âYouâre freaking me out a bit..â
You sighed regretfully, âitâs nothing bad. I promise. Itâs just..Iâm worried you might not..like it?â You said for lack of better word
Remus smiled softly and squeezed your hand, resting on his thigh reassuringly, âWhatever it is, Iâm sure I will love it.â
You smiled back and handed him the vial of potion.
His face contorted back to one of confusion.
âLook at the label.â You said quietly, scanning his face for his reaction.
You watched him turn the bottle over and read the label. OnceâŚtwice..three times.
âIs this..â he said with a disbelieving tone
âItâs Wolfsbane. Iâve got plenty of more in the basket over there.â You motioned towards the basket, âMy mom made it so it should work perfectly.â
His face didnât change.
âRem..â you said in an anxious voice.
âHow..why..?â His voice broke
âI know youâve read about it in the âDaily Prophetâ about a hundred times. I asked my mom..I paid for the ingredients and my mom brewed it. For you.â
Remus took in a shaky breath and looked at you with tear-filled eyes, âYou shouldnât have.â He said, holding back tears.
You sat up and wrapped your arms around his shoulder, âI wanted to. I know how much youâve wanted this..how much you need this. You deserve every last vile and much more.â
Remus let out a sob and buried his head into your chest.
âThank you, thank you.â He pulled you into his lap, and buried his face into your neck, âI donât deserve you.â
You whispered sweet things into his ear as he cried. He only continued to hold you tighter.
When pulled back from your neck you cupped his cheeks and wiped his tears from his face.
He continued to mutter words of gratitude as he pulled you into a kiss. The kiss was full of so much adoration and love, as you knew he was trying to express how grateful he was.
âI love you.â He said
âI know, and I love you too.â
As the two of you went to bed that night, wrapped in each other's arms, there was a new feeling, one that you knew Remus could feel too. It was a new sort of understanding between you and your lover, one that you were sure would last the rest of your lives.

You found yourself tossing and turning in bed, acknowledging it wasn't worth it when the brink of sleep escaped you yet again.
It became sort of a habit now, not being able to sleep and instead turning to wander the never-ending halls of Hogwarts. This habit started multiple years ago already. It was calming, in a sense. So many things, friend groups and professors changed in the time you were here, but you could always fall back on this, it never changed.
Whenever you snuck out of your dorm, it was clear you probably weren't gonna be able to fall asleep, but it was worth it for that moment of peace. Nothing could compare to it.
Your roommates grew used to those habits by now, you were thankful for their understanding even though you didn't really talk to them, to no one at Hogwarts, really.
Your brother always gushed about how amazing Hogwarts was, including the people. Whenever he came back for summer break you were instantly prepared for the flood of information you would get from him, he graduated a few years ago already, but you still looked back on how excited he was to share everything with you, yet you never really understood it.
Yes, Hogwarts really was a magical place, all the magic in that place sometimes even felt overwhelming. But you never actually fit into a certain group, you were quiet, always observing, people thought you were scheming things. As if. The only thing which could keep a mind occupied was astronomy, often lost in your own star constellations.
Opening the door of your dorm and stepping out quietly, the slight breeze from outside felt welcoming. You quietly tip-toed across the wooden floorboards in the common room, the only sound that could be heard was the quiet crackling of the fire no one ever really bothered to put out. You stopped for a moment, leaning against the cold walls and sighing. Not getting sleep so frequently really wasn't healthy, and it wasn't helping your academic scores either, but there was nothing you could do. You didn't want to ask Madam Pomfrey for more sleeping draughts, not wanting to admit to her, and yourself, that you really weren't getting better, but rather, worse.
Rising up from your slouched position against the wall, you slowly set out to the halls, occasionally sliding across the floor boards because of your socks, careful not to make unnecessary noise. Stepping out of the portrait hole, you continued your march down the endless stairs. The portraits were now empty, it was unusually quiet, but your pace never faltered.
Stepping out into the empty halls always felt so freeing, it was so quiet you could probably hear a pin drop. Because of this, every time your joints cracked, you mentally cursed your old man bones. The sound always spread across the hall in waves, leaving behind a slight echo for a short while.
From wandering out here so often, you knew almost every inch and corner of Hogwarts like the back of your hand. Being acquaintances with a prefect made it even easier, you knew who and where people were on patrol. You have basically memorised their schedules for your sake. It was a lot later after their rounds that you usually got out. But it wasn't common to see two prefects getting carried away doing,,, whatever really.
As you continued your stroll through the halls, you couldn't help but admire the candles floating around you, the candlelight always casted a soft glow around the place, it was pleasant to look at. If you focused on the lights for longer, youâre pretty sure the soft tap of steps around the corner would have gone unnoticed.
Before anyone can catch you, you quickly slid behind a statue with practiced ease. It was close, the steps now turned the corner and you notice it is a few pairs, probably close to three, accompanied by murmuring among the three.
âI find it hard to believe he just left in the middle of the night unprompted.â
the steps came to a halt, you could hear the conversation clearer now.
âMaybe he just needed time to himself?â a weaker, squeakier voice replied.
âOh come on, you know Moony and his wolfiness, but he definitely would have had a reason.â a third, deeper voice said, accompanied by a chuckle.
âIt's not impossible, but donât you think it would have to be something serious for him to leave? Just like that? He never does that, he would probably wake Sirius if he needed someone.â
A collective sigh came from the three, the steps could be heard picking up again, in the direction of the stairs you came from earlier.
There it was, three boys, one with insanely messy short hair and his signature glasses, the second one with shoulder-length hair, which he cut a bit shorter after summer, and the last, short blonde boy who you shared Transfiguration with.
You knew them, of course you did. They were in the same house for Merlinâs sake, you never really spoke to any of them though. Their presence was loud and lively, there was never a beat of silence when they were around, which didn't really match you well.
You snapped out of your short daze to see them already long gone, stepping out from behind the statue and making your mind up on where to go next.
You had already known you would probably end up here, as you sauntered up the stairs of the astronomy tower, your steps making next to no noise, as you knew which stairs creaked and which didn't (with a lot of trial and error). Moving along the stairs with ease, you stopped dead in your tracks at the top. You heard a soft sound, it was a sob. You held your breath in anticipation if anyone was here, or if it was just your imagination. Then you heard another one, a quieter one. Holding your breath and turning to where the sound was coming from, your heart nearly shattered into pieces.
A boy, probably in your year as well, was sitting in the corner, back turned away from you. The sight was heartbreaking, he was shaking, the sobs could only be described as broken, sounding choked back, like if someone was fighting them really hard but could not keep it in anymore.
You stood like a deer in headlights, unsure of what to do. Would they tell on you for being here so late at night? Should you just leave them alone? Your heart melted into a puddle of sympathy and sadness, knowing they probably needed someone right now. You slowly made your way over to him and gently sat down by his right side. The boy noticed your presence, the sobs quieting down almost immediately.Â
You spoke first, your voice quiet in an attempt to not startle the boy more than your presence already has. âYou go out here often?â     Â
Turning to face the boy, you could see his eyes tinted red from crying, he sniffled. âDon't worry, i won't tell on you, i go here almost nightly myselfâ No response. âIf you want, I can go. Everyone needs time to themself, and I am just now realizing I probably interrupted a time you wanted to be alone in, considering you went all the way hereâ You hurriedly blurted out, standing up so you can go again. This was probably shaping up to be one of the really awkward moments you would replay before sleep.
âWaitâ you turned to face the boy âI-I, plea-â His voice cracked. âPlease don't leave.â He said with a hint of urgency in his voice.
You made eye contact with him, his brown eyes standing out even in the midst of the night. âOkay, I'll stay. I didnt wanna go back down there anyway, youâre Remus, right?â The boy nodded in response. âYour friends were looking for you, I overheard them on my way here. They sounded pretty worried.â Â You said as you sat down, at arms length to the boy. He sighed, âYeah, that sounds pretty much like them. I can't blame them though, I have been a bit off recently that they for sure noticed it.â
You chuckled, âWell I'm not gonna be prying any information from you.â Laying down on your back, you looked out to the starry sky. âDo you know anything about the stars?â Remus followed you, laying on his back next to you. He was glad you weren't looking at him, he for sure looked like a mess, teary eyes and messy hair. He ran a hand through his hair and wiped at his eyes again. âUh- Padfoot- sorry, Sirius sometimes talks about them, but i don't know much ... Not like I wouldn't be interested! I just, never really had the chance.â
You tried to suppress a chuckle at his stumbling, ultimately failing to do so, earning you a glare from Remus and a soft kick to your shin. âAh! My heart! And my leg! Remus, you have deeply wounded me!â You sprawled out on the floor, dramatically putting your hand over your heart, failing to suppress the smile from his shenanigans. âAnd here I thought no one could surpass the dramatics of Sirius Black, I think he now has great competitionâ He turned to you, with a slight smile, only illuminated by the light of the moon and stars. The change in his mood was sudden, but not unwelcome. You were just happy it seemed that his mind wasnât lingering on whatever upset him earlier.Â
âWell good thing for you-â you said as you pointed your finger at him accusingly âI heed great knowledge about astronomy! And for someone so uncultured, I could possibly spare some time of the day so that he may learn all about it!â He sighed, the smile on his face growing wider âTell me, just what can I do to stop you from talking like⌠this?â You grinned and looked back to the sky, replying âAh, does my prosperous vocabulary trouble you?, I guess I can tone it down a little..â
The night was spent pointing out constellations and curious questions being thrown both ways. You wondered how you managed to avoid Remus for so long, seeing as you both spent time in the same places, and your interests overlapped seemingly everywhere. Unbeknownst to you, Remus felt the same. He found it easy to be in your presence. He knew the rest of his little group would endlessly question him about his whereabouts when he got back to them, but he didnât seem to care about that, or anything else at the moment.
You completely drowned out his worries and heâd be damned if he let another opportunity slip through his fingers, simply because he felt unworthy.

luveline's 40k party â tysm for requesting! remus x shy fem!reader
James is used to your personality after months of being your lecture neighbour, unperturbed by your quiet. "It's going to be fun," he promises, handing you a cold glass of cranberry vodka. "They're nice, okay? I won't let anyone irritate you."Â
He's hosting a party and had the generosity to invite you round early. He's easing you in, so to speak. It took him two weeks of steady Hellos for you to work up the courage to say Hi back, another two weeks for small talk, a month before you felt comfortable speaking to him first. If you're that shy, a party is basically torture.
"It's not about irritating me," you say.Â
"I know, I'm messing." James lists his head to the left. A second later, there's a knock at the door. "Aha. Wait here, shortcake, there's someone I want you to meet."Â
"James," you say after him, wet from your glass leaking down to your sleeve, "what?"Â
"I asked him to come early and say hello! He's quiet and handsome and you'll love him, just don't stare at his nose."Â
What's wrong with his nose? you think, alarmed.Â
James opens the door. Two new voices emerge, one scratchy and a little high, the other smoother. "I need to pee so bad," the scratchy one declares, followed by bounding footsteps up the stairs.Â
"You alright?" the smoother asks.
You think there's patting, a hug, "I'm brilliant! You smell really nice, Remus, like a garden."Â
"Lovely."
"In a good way! Come and meet my Y/N, you remember I told you about her nice gel pens?"Â
James leads the smooth-voiced Remus into the living room. You hurriedly put down your drink and stand, wiping your wet hands in your shirt. You cringe at the darkening fabric but hide your grimace as they stop in front of you.Â
"Remus, Y/N. Y/N, Remus," James introduces you both.Â
Remus has a scar across his nose that seems cruelly cut. There's another beside it that starts in his upper lip, both of which end in his eyebrow. You know how self-conscious it feels to be looked at, so you manage to smile and offer your hand without too much of it. He's handsome with his scars, a nice nose with a ridge and brown eyes the colour of caramelised sugar.
"Hello," Remus says, shaking your hand. His is big enough to make yours feel small.Â
"I invited her early because she's more fun than the rest of our lot," James says, throwing himself down on the sofa and kicking his legs out on the coffee table.Â
Remus taps your elbow very gently as if to usher you to sit and sits down beside you, enough space to be casual but too little to stop the rampant nerves that blossom in your stomach.Â
Remus asks about your life. What you're studying, where you're from, if James is being nice to you. While James is touchy in the rough older brother way, scrunching your shoulder and shaking you when you're not expecting it. Remus is touchy in a different way, you find, almost as if he doesn't know he's doing it. His shoe bumps your shoe, his hand falls down between his outer thigh and your own, his knuckles touching your jeans very lightly. He spins in his seat to talk to you.Â
You don't notice other people arriving, nor the scratchy-voiced friends return. All you can do is look up at Remus with wide eyes. Your nerves meld to something warmer.Â
"And what do you do?" you ask him.Â
He smiles like you've wandered into a secret. "I'm trying to write a book."Â
"He's being a bit much," Sirius says to James, the two now loitering in the doorway with matching beers. You and Remus chatter on, unaware of their running commentary.
"It's a very strong reaction. I knew she'd like him, but I didn't think she'd like him like that." James takes a sip of his drink. Remus asks you a quiet question. You duck your head, playing with your sleeves, and Remus, the bastard, ducks his head to follow your gaze, smiling at you all the while.Â
James almost chokes, pointing his bottle toward you both as though Sirius isn't already looking. "He's eating it up. I forgot how flirty he is."
"She'll be nice to him, won't she?" Sirius asks, like it's a done deal. To be fair, Remus seems enthralled with you.Â
"Definitely. She's very nice. Oh, look, that's sick, she's gonna pass out." James winces as Remus takes your arm into his hand.Â
Remus wouldn't do anything cruel, but James wasn't joking when he told Remus that you were exceedingly, achingly shy. He's about to step in and rescue you, but you turn into Remus' touch and pull your leg up on the sofa to make yourself comfortable. Your voice is animated, if quieter than the average person's.
"Woah," James says, beaming. Â
Remus flirts almost as a defence, like he wants to get the rejection over and done with so he can move on. You've yet to reject; you're looking up at him in moderate awe, your lips quirked into an easy smile.Â
"Boo!" James calls, flicking his bottle cap at Remus, who brushes it away. "Took me three weeks to get a smile out of her," he mutters. "What a dick."Â
MASTERLIST
Remus Lupin x reader
Warnings: Pure fluff, a bit of kissing and probs a bit of bad grammar.
06.26 AM
Dark clouds painted the sky, winter snow littered the ground outside, the freezing air was kept outside by the strong facade of the Potter Mansion. WInter break was coming to an end soon, as would her invitation to the Potter's, and as much as she missed the castle, the end of the mini vacation to James's with all their friend group for break was something she didn't want to end soon, or ever truthfully.
Y/m laid restless on her makeshift made on the guest room that was the designated "girl room", even though she shared a dorm with these lovely girls, they where incredibly more annoying during any kind of break, Marlene's snores where getting louder by the second, Mary kept talking in her sleep, Lily was way to clingy (they had to share a bed, because Lily agreed to come [begrudgingly] at the last minute).
With no room to breathe and uncomfortable, y/n got up, grabbed a blanket and with no care of being quiet left the room, these girls deserved to be disrupted, they deserved to be bothered, but alas, they where still fast sleep.
It was way to early too be up he sky was still awfully dark, she should be sleeping under a huge comfoter with her teddy and fuzzy socks, sadly she found herself laying on the couch with only a blanket to protect her from the freezing cold of the Potter's living room.
06:57 AM
A crack on the floor woke y/n up, she hadn't even realized she fell sleep, startled she sat up and cursed herself for not bringing her wand along, adjusting her eyes to find out whose face it was in the dark, it spoke.
âShit! Merlin, you scared meâ Remus Lupin himself was the face she couldnât see, what a shame she thought, he has a gorgeous face.
âI know Iâm not the best looking sleeper, but I donât think I can get scaryâ her lame joke earned a small laugh from him. Worth it.
âYou know I didnât mean it like thatâ his voice was raspy, she figured it was from sleeping. âWhat are you doing here anyways? Why are we sleeping on the couch?â
âCould ask the same thingâ She replied, âThe girls are giving me hell, I have no idea how I can keep up with âem all year, what about you?â
He gave her a smile, the one that makes his dimples noticeable and the scar on his nose widen, the one that makes girls like her swoon at the sight of it, the one that he usually keeps hidden, the one that he secretly reserves for her.
âSame thing, the boys are incredibly annoying, god knows Iâve put up with them for five whole years, I need a break, plus, Jamesâs room is way too cluttered for four guys to be able to sleep in.â
She hummed in response, âsit down, donât just stand there by the doorway, itâs creepyâ
Remus blushed he didnât even realized that he was standing there so tense, he suddenly felt utterly aware of himself, of his tight pijama pants that were way too short on him, of his old shirt with holes in it that he was way to attached to to throw out, of his tussled hair, of the exposed skin littered with scars, he was in pajamas in front of her. Sure she was too, but she looked great, like always.
"Mmm, you scared the sleepiness out of me... What about an early breakfast?"
Honestly she was still pretty tired, but it has been a while since they could share a moment alone, ever simce they've left hogwarts the whole group has been glued together, it has been hard to have one on one conversations, not that she needed to, but there was something brewing inside of her anytime she talked with Remus alone, they both felt it, she was sure, but neither made the move.
"Sure, I really need a coffee" She said making her way into the kitchen.
"I'm more of a tea kind of guy, but I'll join you with a cup." He tried to make it sound non chalantly, but he really despised coffee, he only drank it when she was around, ever since that time in third year he obliged to grab a cup with her because he lied and told her he loved it to impress her.
Comfortable silence fell upon them as they made coffee, shuffling around the kitchen trying to be quiet, smal huffs and giggles filled the now warm kitchen, y/n couldn't help but smile anytime she looks at him, he was the most beautiful man on earth.
"Wat'cha looking at" He said grinning like a devil.
"You"
"Me? What's so interesting about me?"
"Stop messing with me, Remus, you know." Hopefully her cheeks would not be as red as they felt.
"Know what?." he was getting cheeky, she diverted her eyes from his face, suddenly the cup of coffee was the most intersting thng in the world.
"C'mon, look at me," He said as he tilted her chin upwards to look at him. Merlin he was tall. "Don't get shy on me all of a sudden, What's wrong?"
"Why don't you have a girlfriend?" it was a stupid question, she hoped that the answer was what she wanted, still, weird thing to ask.
He laughed "What? Why? Why do you care?"
"I asked first, like, really, how come the cutest guy in all of hogwarts is still single?"
because all I've ever wanted was you, he wanted to yell.
"I don't know, I don't really care for it" he lied, "Why don't you have a boyfriend, I've heard about guys interested in you" he tried to play his bitterness for friendly banter, he wasn't sure it worked.
She hummed "Well none of them are my type, y'know"
She looked at him in a way that would've made Remus's knees buckle it he wasn't standing against the kitchen island.
"Well whats your type?" Sudden braveness.
"Well, there's this guy and he's exactly my type" she said in a such a dreamy way that made Remus want to die, jealousy filled his chest.
"yeah, he's so dreamy, and cute and pretty" she liked the way that made him mad, he's the smartest person she knows, but he's stil just a boy, a very dense one at that. "he loves to wears old wooly sweaters, he loves fantasy and children books but pretends to only read philosophy to seem more nuanced" she looked into his eyes and held his hands, he squeezed them. "He loves tea, but he pretends to like coffee to impress the girl he likes" she laughed as her hands moved from his hands to his chest and finally to his neck.
He put his shaky hand on her hips, "Kiss me"he pleaded. She happily obliged.
Her heart skipped a thousand beats and she was sure she passed out for a second. It was perfection, the way his hand squeezed her waist as he deepens the kiss, how he hummed in her mouth when she tugged at his sandy curls, hours could've gone by, they wouldn't have cared.
Sadly they had to breathe so she broke the kiss, nose to nose and holding each other, they locked eyes as they fall into a fit of laughter.
"Okay.... so... we're on the same page, I think" she said as the laughter broke down.
"Yeah, I think we are" he grabbed her hand. Y/n yawned "Oh Merlin, what time is it?"
The clock signals:
07:38 AM
"Still pretty early to be up" he says, the coffee long forgotten.
"Mmm, want to cuddle and make out in the couch 'til the others wake up" she said hugging his side.
"I'd like that very much" he said pulling her out of the kitchen and into the living room couch.
10:05 AM
"OH MERLIN MY EYES!!!" A familiar voice woke them up. "JAMES! MOONY AND Y/N HAVE DEFILED YOUR COUCH!"
"Don't be stupid, Sirius, you woke them up" Lily's nagging followed.
Y/n had made no attemp to get up, to hell with them, she was comfortable, her arms around Remus's neck and his around her waist, theur legs tangled with each other's, slowly morphing into one.
"My Lilyflower's right, pads" James said. "Let them sleep, god knows it's been long enough with the yearning and the crushes and the longing glances. And they're way too much of cowards to do anything in some else's place, our Moony is a proper gentleman."
Remus flushed, but tried to keep quiet, he didn't care their mates were mocking them, all he cared about was his girl and his girl was cuddled up against him.
With a last kiss (momentarily), they dozed off again.

Remus Lupin x Fem!Reader
G: Fluff, jealous, irritable and oblivious Remus.
Warnings: NOT proofread, smoking, written late at night from an insomniac writer.
The dark winter sky was the only visible thing from the gryffindor common room, as the cold chased everybody inside, four best friends sprawled across cushions in front of the fireplace , trying desperately to get homework done, at least Remus was, his friends way to gossipy to get anything done, he has had enough of his friends fooling around, it seemed as if the world was ganging up on him, his friends were being annoying, homework was harder than ever, the full moonâs tomorrow, and you were out with some boy, at least that what was heard from some hufflepuff girl called Inez.
Huffing and groaning he got up, âWhatâs wrong, moons? Donât you like that your girl may be snogging another boy?â Sirius laughs while mockingly pouting, James laughs, too loudly for Remusâs liking, still gathering his things âWhatâs wrong, pads? Canât find anyone who likes you for more than just shagging?â Remusâs venomous tone surprised him even, James didnât laugh, they just sat in awkward silence, it wasnât strange for Remus to become more irritable as the full moon was incoming, that was somewhat understandable, theyâre friends, theyâll put up with him and his attitude, but something else set him up this time, so they just let him leave.
Good, he needed to take a breather.
As Remus furiously left the common room, his mind was running, between his classes and his overbearing hidden need to overachieve, the way the full moonâs closing in, how his condition will always outrun him, the way his friends one day will get fed up with him, heâs too much anyways, his breath was staggering, he needed air, he needed to get out, but no matter where heâll go, he knows heâs a liability.
The astronomy tower seemed like the perfect place for him to settle down, he walked in only to find out someone beat him to it, you were there, his heart did a flip and threatened with jumping out his mouth.
as he was about to leave you alone, you looked up, eyes meeting, Remus felt like fainting, all his emotional buildup was still persistent, but butterflies swarmed his stomach, âhi, Remâ âhi, y/nâ âwhatâre you doing up here?â you asked eyes filled with curiosity, âCould ask you the sameâ he felt comfortable enough to sit down next to you, âI asked you firstâ fair enough. âJust needed a little bit of air, take a walk, this is the closest that I can get to the outside without freezingâ he found himself letting out a long breath, âtough day?â âtough week, tough year, tough life apparentlyâ she laughed, Merlin, her laugh, the ways her face looks when she does, absolutely beautiful, breathtaking.
they sat in comfortable silence, looking at the stars, hands nearly touching but neither of them was brave enough, Remus cleared his throat ready to break the silence âI heard you were going out with a Ravenclaw boyâ he couldnât help sounding bitter, âmmm, really? Who did you hear it from?â hope âInez, well, Sirius, but he heard it from her in herbology, so it was just a rumor?â âInez is so noisy, kind, but so annoying sometimesâ she kept quiet, Remus didnât push her to speak, âwell, yeah, a ravenclaw boy sent me a note asking me out in charms, I said yes to not embarrass him in front of his friends, but afterwards I told him I couldnât go out with himâ a blush crept into her cheeks as she talked, Remus sweared that every time he looked at her he fell even harder, âwhy did you tell him you couldnât?â Remus felt nosier than Inez and his friends, but he needed to know, âwellâŚâ she went shy all of a sudden, sigh âwell âcause I like someone else, like a lot and I felt bad playing with his feelingsâ
Remus felt like throwing up, she likes another boy, all hopes are dead, as dead as he wishes he was, âyou ok?â her sweet voice was music to his ear, âyeah, âm fineâ âare you sureâ âyeah, well, I should go, the guys are probably wondering where I amâ bullshit, he needed to scream, to punch someone hopefully the guy she likes, as he was getting up she grabbed his hand, âplease stay a little longerâ she asked with teary eyes, âlove, whatâs wrong?â the pet name rolling of his tongue like a promise, ânothing just, I donât want to be alone, but I donât want to talk either, just⌠sit there, with meâ her big eyes following her mouth pleading for him to stay and who was he to say no. He nodded sitting back down, putting his hand in her back, rubbing as she sobbed.
âItâs just, the boy I likeâ sob âprobably doesnât like me backâ she takes a breath â I like him a lot and he barely pays attention to me, always running out of a room when I enterâ she was describing the dumbest guy Remus would ever know, âitâs ok, doll, heâs dumb, youâre the best that there is, a lot of boys are dying to be with youâ me, Iâm here, I want to be with you, I love you. thatâs all he wanted to say, but sheâs down and sad, he wouldnât take advantage, and he doesnât know why his words make her cry harder, âIâm sorry, I donât know what I did wrongâ with her head in her hands she mumbled something incoherent, âwhat?â she gets up suddenly, âsorry, that was dumb, sorry for bothering you, rem, youâre a good guy, sorry againâ she ran out so fast Remus could barely hear her last words.
Full of worry he went back to his common room, decided to not do his homework, heâll blame it in the full moon, and as he laid down in his bed all he could think of was you, and breaking the nose of the guy that made you cry that way.
Laying in your bed the events of today replaying in your head, what else couldâve went wrong?
A nice guy asked you out, thatâs great if you werenât stupidly in love with your friend Remus Lupin, you got shy in front of his friends awaiting for your answer, so you said yes forgetting the fact that rumors travel fast at Hogwarts, especially with the noisy duo on Sirius and Inez.
All your friends went crazy, asking if you were finally over your silly crush, if you were really going out with another boy, wondering when and whatâll happen or what youâll wear, you tried to tell them that in the end you turned him down, but to no avail, they wouldnât listen, so like outside was freezing, you figured that the astronomy tower was the safest option of a santuary, before you could cry your eyes out, to add insult to injury, Remus Lupin seemed to think the same thoughts as you.
Everything wouldâve been better if you had stuck to your comfortable silence, but nooo, he had to ask questions, how can he be so oblivious, that he was the guy, that you like him, youâve kept sending him signals since two years ago during third year, and every time you try to stop and get over him, he sends a small signal that maybe, hopefully, he feels the same, some hidden glances, small touches, meaningful smiles, all of this could be part of your friendship, but thereâs something about them, just something that gives your heart hope, or maybe youâre delusional.
You ended up falling asleep on you wet pillow with tear stained cheeks.
03:17 AM
y/n woke up, she needed a air, she needed Remus, she needed sleep, she needed a smoke.
She settled for the cigarette solution, but she couldnât open a window in her room without waking her roommates up. Walking down the stairs of the girls rooms to the common room she saw that a particular sandy haired boy has had again her same thoughts, but alas, this time he beat her to do it.
Blowing the cigarette smoke out the window Remus spotted her, with messy hair, mismatched socks, plaid red pants, a t shirt four times her size that looked like it belonged to a granpa, and looking as beautiful and gorgeous as ever, âhey, are you feeling better?â Rem whispered, scared someone could hear and ruin their peace, âhi, yes, Iâm a bit better now, care to share? Just want a bit not the whole thingâ ignoring the urge to run away, she decided that enough was enough, so what if he didnât like her, heâs her friend, sheâs not going to throw it out of the window because of her ego. âYeah, sure,â Remus extended his arm to pass her the cig, hypnotized as she put it between her perfect lips took a drag, inhaled, watching her whole face take it in, eyes closed, eyebrows slightly furrowed, just the perfect sight, he also noticed her puffy red eyes and swollen lips, also the tip of her nose was a bit red, sheâs been crying.
Smoking in silence, but compared to before, it was a bit awkward, âthe guy, the one you like, whoâs he?â She sighed âwhy do you want to know, Rem?â âTo beat them up, I can tell youâve been crying all night, thatâs no goodâ y/n was getting fed up âare you really that oblivious, Remus Lupin?â wow first and last name, Remus knew she was mad, why? he had no idea, âwhat? Whatâs wrong?â she looked at him and god, how can he look so handsome and pretty and cute while being the biggest idiot known to mankind, âwhatâs wrong is that I canât tell you the truth, itâs embarrassingâ now he was even more confused âwhat? Wait you can tell me, you know Iâll never judge youâ she put out the cigarette and looked at him then took a deep breath, â well, the guy that I like, heâs my friend and I like him since forever, but since third year Iâve started sending him signals, like the I like you signals, but either he doesnât like me like that or heâs very obliviousâ Remusâs heart broke even more if thatâs possible, maybe you liked James or Frank or Sirius thatâd make everything worse, as she saw the gears working in his mind, she knew he wouldnât get it âyou know whatâs worseâ âwhat, loveâ the love made her want to tear her neck out, âheâs the smartest person I know, but when it comes to this, he apparently canât put two an two togetherâ
Remusâs mind was working harder than ever, which one of his friends was smart? âOhâ realization hit him, butterflies swarmed his stomach, was he dreaming, was she talking about him, âoh, indeed, Iâm talking about you, Remus, all these years itâs been youâ.
Remus Lupin fell to his knees.
âAre you serious, you like me?â âDonât be mean, Rem, please donât laugh at me.â â love, Iâm not laughingâ he wasnât but he was smiling like a fool, she was about to cry again, here she was confessing to him, and there he was laughing, âIâve loved you ever since I saw you on the train, at the start of second year, with your braids and your cat, I love you now and Iâll love you foreverâ she was frozen, all this time he felt the same, she was grinning like an idiot now, falling in front of him bringing her hands to his cheeks caressing them. âPlease, can I kiss you, doll?â âRemus, you can kiss me whenever and wherever you wantâ, his eyes were full of adoration as he leaned in, her hands on the back of his neck creeping up his hair, his hands sneaked into her waist grabbing firmly, he sat down pulling her into his lap, searching for more closeness.
âWeâre idiotsâ she breathed breaking their kiss, âyeah, but weâre idiots in loveâ he said making their noses touch, once he had her he couldnât get enough of her, and couldnât stop kissing her, not that she complained, she felt like heaven was brought upon her when he kissed her, âI kiss canât kiss believe kiss that kiss we kiss took kiss this kiss much kiss time kissâ âwhy donât we take this to the couch, itâll be more comfyâ she said while kissing his neck, â.or we could go to my dorm, the guys are asleep, we can make out all nightâ all she had to do was nod to be picked up and brought to Remusâs bed.
James, Peter and especially Sirius had a great time in the morning when they found you in the same bed, by lunch Sirius and Inez had already made sure that all that was talked about was yours and Remusâs relationship and you couldnât be happier to be finally together.

------------
As the late spring breeze sweeped into the open windows of the library Remus couldn't help but notice the way her hair moved with it, at least the little ones that weren't braided, the two brunette braids sat nicely on her shoulders dressed with her uniform and her houseâs robes, she was too focused on her essay to even notice the small disturbance on her scalp, eyebrows furrowed, quill fiercely working on her paper sheet, Remus couldn't look but he was sure she was bouncing her left leg.
´Stop gawking at my sister, moony. I'm sure if you go say hi, she'll be more than pleased.´ As soon as Sirius words reached remus ears he couldn't help but groan, his best mate Sirius Black always had a way to annoy him, âI was not gawking at your sisterâ,Remus blushed slightly, he was indeed staring profusely at his sister, he always was, if she was in a room heâd know, and somehow heâd find a way to be near her, like a moth attracted to the shining lights. âAlright, but mate you canât deny the way you look at her, canât really blame you sheâs a Black, not me, but a Blackâ the one to groan now was James âWe are not talking about you, pads, we need to find a way to match you and y/n together!â âWhile I agree you should get it together Moons, letâs not let prongs play matchmaker, heâs awful.â Peter chips in little in conversations, but his rare voice of reason itâs always needed. Now an overwhelmed Remus tries to end the weird conversation surrounding his life, âGuys do not, I was just thinking, not staring at anyone. We need to focus on our homeworkâ âCut the crap moony, youâre obsessed with my sister.âÂ
Remus wouldâve never expected the outcome of a studying sesion with his friends to end up in them making a plan for him to snog a girl. As he was starting to get really  annoyed with them he looked up and made eye contact with the live image of his dreams, Y/n Black. His face failed him, he started smiling like a fool, surprisingly (not really, youâve talked a lot of times, you would consider each other acquaintances) you smiled back and waved quickly returning to your work. âMoony! pay attention!â youâd never know James was this bosy unless youâre coming up with stupid plans or pranks, âYou know what? Iâm getting tired of you, I came here to study and get some work done, not to make a stupid planâ his three friends looked around sheepishly, âSorry mate, weâre just trying to hook you up with my sister, maybe i could get a favour in returnâ Sirius says as he winks pointing at his homework, âDo whatever you want, i donât care, Iâll go study somewhere elseâ kinda annoyed kinda mad Remus picks up his things as he heads for the door. âAnd donât pimp out your siblings,Siriusâ.
The annoying breeze was making y/n more cold than normal, she could barely focus on her essay for professor Flitwick, she couldâve stayed in her common room with her friends, but no damn her heart, she came to the library to follow her stupid heart, to see her stupid crush and to have to bear with her stupid brother who was most likely mocking her, after all she was a schoolgirl with a crush on her older (barely a year) brother´s mate, pathetic, thatâs how she felt, she was pathetically sitting alone on the library, pathetic was the way her heart skipped a beat when he smiled at her, pathetic was the way he didnât wave back. She was done embarrassing herself, as she started gathering her stuff to finally go cry it out in her bed, a small voice interrupted her hate thoughts. âAll done?â honey slipped out of Remus's mouth whenever he talked, she was sure of it, âMmh not really, was getting a bit chilly, though, did you finish your homework with the guys?â barely getting it out, fighting the urge to gauge her eyes out of embarrassment. She has talked with many times before, not much lately, her crush on him has been growing bigger and bigger until it smashes her frontal cortex completely.
Remusâs hands were clammy, there he stood awkwardly, desperately trying not to faint at the sight of her soft gray eyes, the confidence he quickly got to go talk to her, quickly left, âNo, theyâre daft, not really the ones to help with getting homework doneâ, she giggled, she didnât really find it funny, sheâs just nervous, âdo you wanna finish your essay as I finish my homework?â Remus cursed himself, why? why? why? his whole brain seemed to be jell-o when sheâs near him, âwell I donât think thereâs more I can do, but maybeâŚâ the confidence facade crumbling down, âmaybe what?â âmaybe we could hang out, catch up, we havenât really talked in a whileâ that was mostly true, they were always kind of close, they used to hang out a lot actually, but since their feelings took over them, theyâve been less close than normal. âyes!â he barely allowed her the chance to finish the sentence, he almost regretted it, until she blessed him with her blinding smile, he would give anything to see her wide smile every day of his life, she held her hand out for him to grab, âLetâs go, Remâ.
Her (hand) was the most precious thing Remus Lupin has ever held and will ever hold, following her blindly, letting her take him wherever she wanted, all he could do was look at her and wonder how did the sun managed to take human form, he was sure he was bound to her every life heâs lived, and heâll look for her in every life from now on, because in this life he just got blessed with her. Heart racing, flushed cheeks from both of them, she kept stealing little glances at him to check if he was still there. he was. When Remus was busy imagining what it would be like to spend a lifetime with her, she stopped, the courtyard, thatâs where they were, not in their shared apartment with four cats and thirty, and he was so happy she wasnât a legilimens.
