Skink - Blog Posts

I live so far away, otherwise I’d totally adopt this cutie! So instead, I’ll share it so that someone else can find him a good home. Best of luck to you!

hey!

i really wish i didn't have to make this post, but my sister and i are moving into an apartment soon, so i really need to rehome my blue tongues skink, jörmangundrr, before we move. they don't allow reptiles in these apartments, otherwise, i'd keep him.

please live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of texas if you'd like to purchase him.

rehoming fee is $320. he comes with a tank (smaller than he needs, but i never had enough money to get him a bigger one before now), an extra lightbulb, two heating lamps, two large blocks of his bedding, a water bowl, a large hide, a log, a pair of claw clippers, fake plants, and a large bag of his favorite cat food.

im not entirely sure of his age, but i do know he's under one year. he is a tad longer than my forearm and still has lots of growing to do. when i purchased him he was missing one of his toes, but aside from that, he's in perfect health.

he's a very sweet and docile boy that loves to crawl on your shoulders, chill in your lap, or vibe in the sunlight. beautiful gorgeous boy. very sad to see him go.

here are some pictures of him:

A silly little skink! Me and this lizard spent a few minutes sitting next to each other, him catching ants and me watching. This guy was quite small, likely still young, and it was fun to watch him scuttle around, looking under leaves for little bug morsels!

A vibrant skink running up a tree to escape me! I found so many skinks while out yesterday, this being one of them! Normally, I rarely find lizards, but they were popping out of the woodworks for whatever reason—possibly trying to feed before the evening's storm arrived? Whatever the reason, I love to see them!

A cute skink licking its lips after snacking on a tasty worm! I happened to look out the window while preparing to go outside just in time to see this lizard eating a big worm on the bank of my koi pond. After eating, it slowly slunk away into the grass. Despite there being lots of worms, this is a bit of a dangerous place to hunt, seeing as a watersnake is currently living at the pond!
