The fire is an X bc he needs to be stabbed again for the thingamy im abt to talk abt to be completed. its only the first stage rn - shinyun said so herself.
The chains are bc hes being controlled by sammael, like ragnor is.
He looks like a demon bc of the possession - its taking away his humanity.
Hes on a throne bc he doesnt realise hes possessed, and thinks hes happy - like ragnor, who didnt seem like he was some sort of puppet completely and stuff. like he doesnt realise smth is wrong now, w him being all happy.

ok, reading tlbotw and yk whats rlly sus? magnus feeling fine. like not just saying he is, but actually feeling it. cause, yk, he just got stabbed by some magical evil demon thorn sword and is now... oozing magic? regardless its weird, especially considering they have a CHILD and magnus should be tired from that, and even mentions before how max's sleep schedule does not match up w him and alec's. and on top of that, cassie mentions it multiple times.
theres this one particular time that made me go from "thats sus" to "thats RLLY sus", which is where the book goes, "“I feel fine,” he said, and realized he was telling the truth. He felt good, even, as if he’d had a full night’s sleep and a proper breakfast instead of barely any sleep and Jace’s too-strong black coffee".
Like, thats so sus. that thorn is DEFFO doing smth to magnus.

Malec literally being parents here. Alec is so proud and is about to cry over Jace's plans, and Magnus is just basically "You did good. It's just usually you're a reckless dummy."

Remember when you first started reading tsc and were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of books there were? like how am I gonna read all of these?? And now, months and years later, we're all here, obsessed over the whole cronicles and the 20+ main characters, waiting and begging for Cassie to write even more like over a dozen books weren't enough.
