Yeah, it is a really sad topic and while in a way i‘m super excited to learn more and draw more parallels, i‘m also really scared of what it makes me think. Cause just like you, I think that Noel and Liam experienced SA, there‘s just too many strange quotes. Like the one Liam quote where he says: „men and religion broke me“, the constant back and forth and contradicting info on weither or not Liam got hurt too („he never touched Liam“ and „Noel got it the worst“ and „My father especially hurt me a lot“ are all very, very different things). I hope I‘m wrong but also coming from personal experience with the topic it would explain a lot. I didn‘t actually know that Noel quote about Liam „doing that to him all the time“! But oh wow. Classic Noel behaviour we‘ve got here. I find it so interesting how Noel on the one hand seems to be much more careful than Liam when it comes to their relationship (He lied multiple times trying to make their relationship sound worse or less close on the Matt Morgan podcast … like when he lied about never having given Liam birthday presents - And is also just not on twitter calling Liam stuff like GOD, you know), but on the other hand he seems to always want to show off how twisted their relationship is?? I‘m not sure how to explain it but he said lots of things that don‘t particularly make him and Liam seem normal. Like all the „mindgames“/„I play him like a slightly used card deck“ stuff he said about himself, and the „Liam is obsessed and in love with me“-narrative for Liam, where your quote fits in perfectly.

to the anon writing about noel noticing sonny and donovan being closer than they should be - all I'm thinking about is how kinks are often genetic. there's definitely an environmental factor (i.e. the incest between the gallaghers was likely majorly fueled by the abuse they suffered as kids) but there IS some genetic component. so it's likely that sonny, donovan, anais, gene, lennon, and molly all might have some things in common. of course they probably wont have the weird relationship of the oasis brothers because they dont have the same situation, but it is fun to think about.

why is "genetic incest kinks" so on-brand for this family? I love it. though i guess the gallagher kids are safe cause no one’s gonna match liam and noel’s level of chaos and dysfunction. Like if there's something incestuous going on i think it would still be less codependent and toxic cause of the way they grew up. Noel said it himself, that his kids have a completely different childhood than him and liam did so that's why he thinks his sons get along well. So if noel and liam did pass the genetic incest kink on to their offspring then maybe it's a more wholesome, more consistently consensual version of gallaghercest. Yay!

yes the gemma stuff was always interesting to me. She is quite older now (I think 13 maybe?) Its sad, I always wondered what went wrong there. I remember reading stuff that Liam even picked out baby names and stuff, why the sudden ditch? I hope they meet one day but she might not be as forgiving as Molly was :(

it’s quite sad to think about. i hope they meet one day too, but you’re right, she might not be as forgiving as molly and honestly, who could blame her? yeah she has to be like 12 or 13 now, definitely old enough to be on the internet and see the tweets where liam calls her mum a "gold digger", see the interviews where instead of her name he refers to her with "the one in new york" and old enough to know that he missed court hearings concerning her, in the past. her mum most likely also talks negatively about liam.

so like... it's understandable if gemma doesn't have a positive attitude torwards her dad right now. which means: if he wants her in his life liam needs to actually show her that he does! i don't think "always here if she wants to reach out" is going to work here - just my feeling
