Satoru Gojo was tired.
No, tired was an understatement.
Satoru Gojo was completely exhausted.
It had been four years since Suguru left. Satoru knew it was wrong to still love the man that massacred an entire village, yet he found himself craving the affection he used to receive from the raven-haired man. He cried at night, holding onto whatever article of clothing Suguru let him 'borrow' (Satoru refused to give them back) and trying to inhale whatever scent was still there. Tonight was no different. Droplets of water splayed across Satoru's pale face, a sweatshirt held tight to his chest that had Suguru's name on the tag, and the sobbing of the strongest man could be heard from a mile away.
How was he strong if he cried this much?
He felt weak under Suguru Geto's influence.
-
"Satoru," and the honored one's lip trembled. "Let me help you."
February was Satoru's favorite month. He liked how alive everything looked, and the name itself sounded pretty to him. But what he wouldn't admit was that the true reason he loved it was because it was Suguru's birth month.
"I'm fine. I'm the strongest, remember?"
The ravenette sighed.
"You're upset. Don't lie to me, Gojo."
And for a second, Gojo wasn't the strongest.
"We're back to a last name basis, huh? Silly Sugu~ I don't know what I'm gonna do with ya!"
February 2. That was the day before Suguru's birthday. The day they had this conversation.
"Stop acting like everything is sunshine and rainbows. Talk to me, Gojo. That's all I need."
Satoru changed his favorite month later that day.
-
It was Wednesday, which meant Satoru had to go shopping.
He despised shopping, there always were too many people.
(But he couldn't pretend that he doesn't love the attention he gets from every woman around him.)
As he lazily pushed around a cart that was filled mostly with stuff he didn't need, he stopped.
A firm grip on his shoulder shocked him.
"Satoru."
Oh, how he hated that he knew that voice.
-
"Satoru, slow down. You're gonna get a brain freeze."
The boy in question simply laughed.
"Don't worry, Suguru! I'm the strongest!~ A little brain freeze isn't gonna- oh-"
Satoru wrapped his hands around his head in pain, slamming his face onto the table they were sitting at.
"Ow! Ngh- Suguru! Make it stooooppp!"
"..dumbass..."
A second later, the teen with silver hair was wrapped in the younger's arms. The shorter whispered sweet nothings and reassurances into the taller's ear.
Satoru loved his best friend's voice. If this wasn't heaven, he wasn't sure what was.
-
"Geto."
Saying the man's name made Satoru feel miserable.
A wound he tried so hard to close had re-opened.
"Geto, you... No."
Suguru- if it even was him- tilted his head.
"Satoru, it's me."
"Don't call me that."
The cursed user's eyes widened. His hand backed away from the shoulder it rested on.
"Y-You're not real," tears escape from Satoru's beautiful eyes. "You're just another fuckin' hallucination."
"I'm real, Sato- Gojo."
"No. I'm tired of this."
The younger one's breaths were noticably getting heavier. Suguru knew what was happening all too well
"Gojo, let me help you calm down."
"Don't come near me."
"I'm not taking no as an answer."
Before Satoru could move, Suguru hooked his arms underneath him and held him firmly to his chest.
"Breathe for me, Satoru."
-
It had been a month since they had reunited.
Suguru tried his best to be there for his past friend, though it felt foreign to both him and Satoru.
He hated how Satoru first flinched whenever he touched him, he always looked ready to burst into tears as well.
But Satoru got used to it, eventually, and found himself leaning into Suguru's warmth.
-
"Good morning, Satoru."
A soft groan erupted from the boy who had been woken up.
"...mornin', Sugu...."
Purple eyes closed as a certain sorcerer shoved his face into the smaller's chest. It no longer was uncomfortable or weird to them.
It felt like home.
And Suguru would be staying home forever, he decided.
-
"Sato? Baby?"
Suguru frowned at the empty mattress that sat neatly before him.
A small giggle could be heard.
Suguru shook his head disapprovingly.
"Satoru, I will choke you if you are hiding under the bed again."
Another giggle. Suguru swept down onto the floor, looking under their shared bed. No sign of his best fri- lover.
Oh, right. I forgot to mention that they got together.
Suguru frowned.
"Sato- ah!-"
Two bodies thud against the floor.
"Gotcha!~"
Suguru gets attacked with kisses and pecks on the face, causing a protest himself.
"Satoru, stop! Where the hell were you even hiding?!"
"In the closet, hehe~ And I'm afraid I won't stop!"
This continues for a few more minutes before the Limitless user gets tired. Suguru pats his head with a small smile plastered on his face.
"You scare me when you hide like that. It makes me think you're the one leaving this time."
"Whaaaaatt? How could I ever leave my Sugu boo?"
"Please don't call me that."
"Ugh, fine."
And they stayed like that for a long time, making up time they lost so many years ago.
"Satoru-"
"Suguru-"
"-I think you're perfect for me."

It's been such a long time since he's been to a place such as this. The restaurant was luxurious, maybe a bit too much in his opinion. The staff, the food, the decorations, it all screamed expensiveness.
His suit was probably even worse. It felt tight, unnatural. He wasn't used to wearing clothes other than completely regular. The best he could usually do was a white shirt with some pants, that was it. After all, why would he need anything else?
You. It was you. You were the reason he needed something else. You didn't force him, per se. He did it voluntarily. Grogu was still small and didn't care about how he looked but you? He wanted you to see him.
You were so special to him. Kind, funny, engaging, drop dead gorgeous. In the darkness that was his life, you were the moon illuminating his path. Guiding his way home.
Home to you.
At first, it surprised him when you agreed to the date. If he didn't know you, he would think it was a joke. A cruel mockery of how he, of all people, could think he had any chances with someone so divine. You meant it however. The smile on your face, the sparkle in your eye, it all proved your words.
Sitting at the table reserved for the two of you, he both loved and regretted he asked in the first place. What if you didn't like it there? What if he made a fool of himself? So many things could go wrong and wouldn't be able to stop any of them if it came down to it.
Knowing you though? You wouldn't care less about things that trivial. His mind flickered back to the memory of you.
You.
Sweet you.
The way you held his hand when he'd asked you out because it trembled so much. The way you listened so intently to what people had to say even when you felt unheard. The way you cared for Grogu as if he were your own and not your coworker's son.
Yeah, you'd understand.
Check the time.
Check the time.
Why weren't you there yet?
You were supposed to arrive at 7 PM. He arrived earlier of course. He didn't want you to wait in case he arrived later. And suddenly, he was the one waiting. It's been, what, 10, maybe 15 minutes?
Probably traffic, he told himself. He knew how it was these days. Everyone always rushed, as if unable to take a break. You were most likely in a taxi, trapped in a traffic jam.
Everything was fine.
It's been 30 minutes now. Where were you? It was getting frustrating. Especially when waiters came and went, always asking questions about his order. He wouldn't order. Not until you arrived.
He tapped the table, eyes fixated on the candle in the middle. The fire was so bright and yet, it couldn't compare to your smile. He'd kill to see it at least once. Just for a second, not even that. Even if it wasn't directed at him, even though he'd prefer if it were.
But no.
You weren't there.
He sent you so many messages, called a few times, all worried for your possible safety. What if you were in a car accident? Were you walking and someone decided to attack you? Did you hit your head when leaving your home? The possibilities were endless, every new one worse than the last.
He didn't seem to notice when an hour passed. Nor the second. He wouldn't dare look at the time, his attention constantly shifting between the building’s entrance and your completely untouched seat.
A sigh slipped past his lips when he finally forced himself to do so. It'd been over 2 hours. He couldn't wait any longer. He promised Grogu he wouldn't take too long, the kid needed him after all.
He hated it. The pitiful look the waitress gave him as he paid for the unexpectedly expensive wine he ordered, taking the unfinished bottle with him.
The February air chilled him more than he'd like, his hands freezing from the coldness of the bottle in his hand.
All the while, his mind struggled to come up with a reason for your absence. Maybe you were actually hurt? That was the only explanation that didn't make him question your lack of messages.
Or maybe you simply didn't like him and didn't know how to voice it.
Honestly, he wouldn't blame you. He didn't consider himself particularly likeable either. Messy, awkward, rugged and always tired. Why would you desire that?
The thought stung.
Was he really so bad that you, the kindest creature he'd ever met, couldn't accept him?
It was probably for the better.
“Din! Din wait!”
That voice. The voice so angelic that a part of his soul left his body any time he heard it suddenly called his name.
Turning his head towards where it came from, there you were. You weren't waving at him as you attempted to run, breathless with reddened cheeks from the cold.
You were a mess too to be honest. Dishevelled hair, slightly messy fancy clothes as if you barely managed to put it on properly along with loud gasps for air.
To him, you looked like a deity either way.
“I'm so, so sorry. I-I was tired from work and took a quick nap a-and I overslept the alarm and when I woke up it was already late,”
you rambled on and on about how sorry and ashamed you were for leaving him in the restaurant all alone, especially considering how expensive the reservation was. He didn't utter a word throughout the whole speech.
He didn't care if you noticed his silence. Or the tiny smile on his lips. Or the softness in his eyes. He was simply glad to see you, his day suddenly brighter than before.
And then, you fell silent. Your eyes stared up at him, searching for any sign of anger, of disappointment. There was none. Just pure unfiltered adoration.
“Don't worry. I'm just glad nothing bad happened to you,”
his words made your eyes widened, those twinkling in the soft light of city lamps. How beautiful, he thought. Then again, he thought that about every single thing you did.
His sharp gaze detected how the tension in you shoulders fell, a small sigh of relief escaping into the chilly weather.
“Could I make it up to you in some way?”
you were so kind. So desperate to make sure he wasn't disappointed, to make sure you kept your promise of joining him on a date that night.
He didn't need any persuasion.
Grogu was already dreaming away in his bed when Din joined you in the backyard of his home. You didn't notice him at first, making it the perfect opportunity to admire you.
There you were. In his garden. You were silent, staring up at the moon which felt like a shiny trinket compared to you. The soft smile on your lips as you snuggled into the blanket he lent you made his heart skipped a beat. A silent wish passed through his mind, a prayer of stopping the time so that he could worship you in his mind for eternity and more.
“There you are, I was getting worried,”
you smiled as you noticed his presence. He didn't reply as he sat down next to you, stealing part of the blanket and snuggling closer to you. You offered the wine but his mind was only on the brief brush of your hand against his. It all made his head spin.
When you rested your head on his shoulder though? He was afraid he'd faint. Or maybe cry.
You chose him. Nothing could convince him otherwise. And even if you didn't, he wouldn't mind.
He didn't need much to be happy after all. Even if it didn't last long, all he needed was to drink wine under the stars, right by your side.

Hanging By A Thread
A Murder Drones Khori (Khan x Nori) fan fiction one-shot.
TRIGGER/CRINGE WARNING: light angst, swearing
Khan finally gets home after a long day— a very, very… long day. His first and only priority was to go to his room. Right now, he doesn't have the energy to want to do anything else.
Khan practically instantly drops his smile as soon as he gets into the bedroom. He took a deep breath in, and released a sharp, drawn-out sigh while slumping against the door.
Khan crossed his arms tightly against his midriff. He stared at the ceiling of the small room with his head tilted slightly upwards.
As the empty air of the room became filled only with the sounds of silence, Khan started to go through his memory files to recollect the day. He had nothing else better to do right now, anyway. Why not waste his time some more?
When he was finished with his task, Khan yet again tried to find a distraction to help ignore... less important things.
Khan sighed sharply. He sluggishly stepped over to about towards the middle of the room and sat down defeatedly at the end of the bed.
Khan stayed still.....until he couldn’t. His head started to hurt.
“Fucking hell.. why now..?!” Khan thought.
And just as soon as he thought that things couldn’t get any worse--
{{ LOW BATTERY : YOU DIDN’T SLEEP, IDIOT }}
Khan grumbled. He moved the alert to the side. He ignores it. Like always.
“Ugggghhh…. You frickin’ idiot....” Khan held his face in his hands, noticeably slurring his speech.
First, random body aches, then it turns out that he’s running on low power. No wonder he feels like sh-
Knock, Knock.
The sudden noise made Khan feel like his core nearly jumped out of his chest.
Khan sighed. He stood up and lazily shuffled to the door.
It was revealed that Nori was patiently waiting on the other side. Khan immediately perked up when he saw that it was her.
“Oh-! Uh- Hey, Nori.” Khan said stiffly.
Nori had a calm smile on her face.
“Hey. You alright..?” She asked.
“U-Uh-!! G-Great!! Doing good!” Khan stammered while struggling to keep eye contact.
Nori raised an unamused eyebrow.
“YYYYeahhhhh.... I don't think you’re even sure about that, buddy.” She cracked a cheeky smirk.
Khan blushed. Partially flustered but mostly embarrassed.
If he truly wanted to fool Nori, Khan would have to think of something better than whatever the hell that was.
“You gonna let me in the room now orrrr…?” Nori teased.
“Oh! Uh, y-yeah, s-sorry.” Khan chuckled awkwardly.
Nori stepped past while the door behind her closed.
“Now.” Nori began. “You wanna tell me what’s up with you?”
Khan forced a smile.
“What do you mean? Nothing's up!”
Like always, Nori was not buying anything.
Khan dropped his façade. “Ugh.. f-fine… if you wanna know so badly, I’m not doing very well right now, okay?” He sounded defensive.
Nori tisked. “Mmm-hmm. Exactly what I’m talkin’ about.” She teased.
Khan scoffed.
“Nori, please… I’m not in the mood right now.. just leave me alone.”
Khan turned around with his arms crossed over his chest and walked a few steps away.
A short moment of silence followed.
Nori chuckled softly. She walked up to Khan and hugged him from behind.
“No need to go full-edge on me, big man. You know you don’t have to be ‘ the tough guy ’ around me.” She said.
Khan tried to take a breath in, but instead, it hitched. He put a hand over his mouth.
Well, shit. He did not mean to make that sound…
“And you said you were doing just fine, huh?” Nori said.
Khan blushed. Ashamed, but he paid no attention to Nori’s teasing.
“N-Nori, I-I c-can’t j-just—“
“It’s okay. I don’t mind.” Nori cut Khan off—knowing exactly what he was going to say without even finishing his sentence.
Khan felt the lump form in his throat. He finally gave in and released his tears— not even sobbing, just.. allowing them to flow.
Khan sighed.
“I-I’m sorry I just…I’ve been… really stressed out lately… cause I’m really busy and....”
His voice cracked.
“I’ve been.. feeling so tired… but.... sleep doesn’t feel like it’s helping.. a-anymore.... and.... I-I don’t know what to do....”
Nori lifted her head.
“It sounds like to me that you’re feeling a little burnt out.” She said, “You’ve been focusing on nothing but your work, why not focus on yourself for a little while? You deserve a break. Don't cha think?”
Khan sniffed. “I… I guess so, but… I can’t...”
Nori raised a brow. “Why not?” She asked.
“Cause I… I-I dunno.. I just… It’s important and.... there are people counting on me.. a-and I don’t even have the time for myself.” Khan replied.
“You’re thinking too hard, dummy.” Nori chuckled softly. She gave Khan one last gentle squeeze before pulling away.
“Some days are just harder than others… And that’s okay!” Nori added. She stepped in front of Khan.
“Hows’ about this?” Nori began.
“You take it easy for the rest of the day, and tomorrow you can take the day off.”
Khan flinched. “B-But I-!!”
“No buts!!” Nori interrupted. “Your well-being is more important! Got that..?” Her tone softened a bit on those last two words.
“Okay.” Khan sighed.
“Good.” Nori smiled. “Now would ya stop crying already??!”
Nori wiped underneath Khan’s eyes.
“Sorry, Sorry! I can’t help it sometimes.” Khan chuckled awkwardly.
Nori raised a playful brow and held a slight, cocky smirk on her face.

Always Here For You
A Murder Drones Khori (Khan x Nori) one-shot fan fiction
TRIGGER/CRINGE WARNING: angst, hurt/comfort, swearing <—(literally only one word is said, but just in case lol-)
It has been a while since Khan has been in his room, and Nori was starting to get worried. She didn’t want to check on him just yet, just in case he was asleep, but Nori’s concerns got the better of her.
She’s just going to see if he’s okay, and that’s all…
- - -
Nori stood in front of the bedroom door. She knocked softly.
No response.
Well, that’s not good…
Nori entered the room rather quickly.
“Khan...? Are you alright in he-”
She stopped mid-sentence.
The room was relatively quiet— only occupied by the sound of silence, or the soft hum of the buzzing fluorescent lights in the room.
The only ‘real’ noise that could be heard was what sounded like.. breathing. But not like– ‘normal’ breathing sounds. It sounded more inconsistent— frantic. Almost like someone’s breath was… hitching..?
….
The realization hit harder than expected.
Khan was laying in bed and had hid himself underneath a blanket. It seemed like he didn’t even notice that Nori was in the room.
“….Khan..?”
The soft call of Nori’s voice appeared to have gotten Khan’s attention.
He slightly lifted the covers just so only his face was visible. His gaze was locked onto Nori for a short moment. He looked away— almost… shamefully…
Nori slowly stepped a little closer.
“What’s the matter, sweetheart..?” She asked.
Nori crouched down in front of Khan— as if a way to show that she was ready to listen.
Khan managed to get a few words out—
“I dunno.. I just- I-I all of the sudden felt.... really sad...” He said, “S-So I… I-I came in here…”
Nori furrowed her brows.
“Why in here all by yourself..?” She asked with genuine concern in her voice.
“I didn’t wanna bother you…” Khan sighed while sitting up effortlessly .
“ ‘Bother me’…? ” Nori asked.
“Y-Yeah, I.. I didn’t think it was worth annoying you about…” Khan confirmed weakly.
‘Annoying’..?
....
Nori almost flinched.
“W-Wait… you’ve been… crying in here alone… because you’re afraid to bother me..?”
Khan’s eyes hollowed. He looked away with an embarrassed blush on his cheeks.
It didn’t take long for her to put the pieces together. She had heard enough.
Nori sighed.
The motion was quick, and loose— zero hesitation in her movement. Nori threw her arms tightly around Khan.
During that moment, Khan didn’t know what to think, or how to react. For now, he returned the hug.
Khan tried everything he could to distract himself. Like gently stroking Nori’s hair through his fingers, or– just literally anything that could distract himself from the spiraling thoughts that overwhelmed him in his mind. But… He tried. He really did try.
Khan began to tremble. He let out a small whimper—a weak, humiliating, pathetic noise that he could never allow anyone to see come from him.
“It’s okay.. just let it out...” Nori spoke in the softest, most comforting voice she could muster.
Almost in an instant, Khan released everything he had been holding back into the crook of Nori’s neck.
“Theeeere ya go…” Nori soothed, “..that’s it… that’s it....”
Khan was practically unintelligible— a weak, “I’m so sorry…” was all that Nori could make out through his trembling voice.
And his voice.. oh, his voice…
Khan usually always has a bright, cheerful tone to him, regardless of the situation. Always finding a way to stay positive.
But now..?
It doesn’t even sound like him.
His voice sounded broken. It was so off-putting, unnatural even, to say the least to see him like this. It’s like it was coming from a completely different person.
And the worst part of all of this.. is that Nori couldn’t do anything to help.
It pained her to see Khan like this. Barely comprehensible and apologizing profusely.
Honestly, she was sorry too.
It felt like forever, but Khan eventually started to calm down.. er- kind of.
Khan still clung on tightly to Nori— his eyes fixed on the ground.
Nori was scared to make a move, just in case Khan didn’t want to pull away yet, but she slowly lifted him off of her. Thankfully, Khan didn’t seem to be resisting.
Both drones faced each other. Nori locked her gaze onto Khan’s eyes, but he wasn’t looking back— not even a glance.
“Hey…” Nori reached out to Khan— gently lifting his chin up and turning his head back to her.
“You never bother me. It’s okay to want or seek comfort. You’re not being weak or pathetic for feeling this way either.”
Nori wiped the tears from Khan’s eyes.
“I love you, a lot. And it hurts to see you feel the need to hide your feelings from me.”
Nori paused for a moment.
“Listen, I’m not gonna tell you to ‘just be happy’ because that’s a bullshit answer and it doesn’t help.
But.. the only thing I want you to do right now is relax. Try to calm yourself down and focus on taking deep breaths. Okay..?”
The only response that Nori received was a weak nod, but that was more than enough for her.
After that, Khan layed back down on his side but this time without a blanket covering him.
Silence fell for a few moments.
“Do you.. want me to stay in here with you?” Nori asked.
Khan sluggishly reached for Nori’s hand, but didn’t quite hold it.
Nori chuckled softly. She climbed into bed and lied down on Khan’s opposite side— gently wrapping herself around him.
“There we go. This is a lot more comfortable, right?” Nori said.
Khan gave a weak hum in response.
“Good…” Nori positioned her hands on Khan’s chest— just over his heart.
Khan gently grasped onto Nori’s hands that lovingly held him.
After what felt like forever, Khan was finally starting to calm down. For real this time. Nori just simply being there was definitely making a difference.
“Nori…?” Khan actually said something.
Nori smiled, relieved to hear Khan’s voice again—“Yeah..?”
Khan blushed sheepishly—
“Th-Thank you.. for… always forgiving me.. even…despite everything....” His voice was almost above a whisper.
“Of course I always forgive you. You’ve never had to apologize…”
She leaned the side of her head against Khan’s shoulder, allowing her eyes to fall half closed.
“…because there’s nothing to be sorry for..” Nori trailed off as she fully closed her eyes.
Khan finally smiled. “I love you, starlight...”
A breathy chuckle came from behind him.
“I love you too, sunshine.” Nori placed a gentle kiss on Khan’s cheek.
