Okay My god I am alive, I think I started this account like last summer? I wanna try and write again, and since I’m obsessed with Miguel O’Hara at the moment, I would love to write more marvel scenarios 😔

Eating up these Spiderverse crumbs like they're a whole ass steak.

Okay so I saw atsv recently and while I love reading everyone’s takes on the art styles, I have to bring up the music

I’m a pretty basic music nerd with minimal theory study, but I’ve taken to just playing the soundtrack. (I’m referencing specifically the Metro soundtrack, I prefer songs with lyrics, but I’m positive this will apply to the other soundtrack too, the crew of spider verse are that amazing) And in doing so, I just need to bring up how carefully these songs are constructed??

See, backing track songs need to be subtle. That’s what (in my experience) can make them boring or difficult to compose - how do you make something interesting but able to blend in? But these people, they’ve just - pulled back layers?? And spread them out???? Rarely is there more than about 3 things happening at any one point in the songs, and it means they can pack so much into them. And more than that, it gives them room to give every song a style, a reference and a character to link them to!

Take ‘Hummingbird’, for example: it’s the song that plays when Gwen opens the portal above Miles’ bed. Then compare it to ‘Sunflower’, from the original movie. The artists are completely different, the tone of the movie has changed entirely, but the songs mirror each other!! The way the vocals have a little flick (flick? Reach??) at the end, the bass and trap in the background, heck, even the emotions they convey! Miles, in each instance, is at a turning point, whether he is aware of it or not.

But the composers haven’t just decided to mimic Miles’ song from the original song - they’ve dampened it to fit the tone of the movie. The trap beat and pulses are muted, and the vocals are slightly subdued. And of course, the lyrics are very different. They are both about love, but one is optimistic, and one is resigned. GOD these people!!

And it’s like this with basically every song I’ve come across! While a lot of the characters have less (or nothing) to compare to, the composers have put bits and pieces in to make the characterisations and emotions peak through. Just look at the percussion in ‘Link Up’ (a mixture of the clicking from ‘Self-Love, which kinda was Gwen’s theme in the album, and the percussion from ‘Silk & Cologne’, which I think is supposed to be Miles’ family and their party (?)) which I took as showing Miles’ split between Gwen and the Spiders, and his family.

Just, this soundtrack has som much care and love stuffed into it. I don’t know how much this makes sense (It’s 3 AM), but I didn’t see anyone talking about it and that is a CRIME

So miles is gonna try to save his dad

Miguel wants to stop miles because it’ll break the canon

Even though the spot is causing more problems to the structure of multiverse than miles

Leaving miles with no known allies in his fight probably leading him to question if he’s doing the right thing for trying to save his dad even if leads to the death of the multiverse

So why is it that madame web hasn’t interfered with the spider society’s little quest for keeping the cannon intact even though it doesn’t seem to make sense

And considering that Madame web can see potential futures and the fact miles has seen a potential future I feel like it could be a slight possibility

for miles to have a vision giving miles a chance to meet Madame Web in some capacity to help miles see that miles doesn’t have to have a set path for him

by showing him a path he didn’t take and another version of him did take by showing he switched paths with prowler miles providing Miguel wrong about the canon

Ok I might sound crazy but imagine a spider person with a symbiotie making a deal with bill cipher and they both just argue about who gets to control the body

What if prowler miles was going to be an evil spider-man?

Since both miles’ swap places and both became vigilantes

It could be a possibility that prowler miles was going to be a villain spider-man since spider miles was going to be the successor of his uncle until the spider bit him

This means that spider miles fate changed not only from being the prowler to being spider-man but also from being a villain to being a hero

What Perfume Is That?

Based off one of my headcanons

Miles and Gwen were on his bed, cuddling rather awkwardly. First time for everything, right? 

Gwen was on top of her boyfriend, arms wrapped around his upper back loosely, her thighs against his hips and hanging limp. The blonde’s head was propped under his chin, a nervous blush adorning her face. Miles had his arms around her neck gently, hands pointed downward as his lips were drawn in a tight line, head tilted slightly forward. The teenager’s cheeks were highlighted by a slight nervous sweat. 

Miles managed to get a whiff of Gwen’s hair, leaning his head downwards more and getting a stronger grasp on the scent. Gwen tenses up, shifting her body.

“What perfume is that?” Miles asks, swallowing back the stammer that threatens to invade his voice. Gwen relaxes visibly.

“Peach, I got it from—“ the blonde pauses, “—Skylar. The brand.” She finished. Miles nods, inhaling her fragrance again. He hummed, before pulling his head back, thinking his reaction might’ve been a bit too over-the-top. “What, you like it?” Gwen asks, chuckling. 

“I think peaches are my new favorite fruit.” Miles responds.

Ghostflower Headcanons

Sorry for not posting any headcanons. Huge writers block! Hope you guys enjoy this. :)

Out of PDA, Gwen does it more than Miles. She does little hand touches, grazing his arms etc. when she can. Miles gets flustered / gets butterflies when Gwen does touch him, and he loves receiving it.

Miles and Gwen do face masks occasionally, and Gwen always goes for grapefruit / Aloe Vera, and Miles always goes for coconut / lavender. Sometimes Miles uses Gwen’s skincare in secret. (Pav and Hobie and sometimes Gayatri do face masks / skincare with them.)

Gwen definitely does Miles’ makeup sometimes, just for fun. Miles lets her sit in his lap, and he thinks she’s really good at eyeliner. Gwen prefers to do elaborate / colored eyeliner or makeup on Miles.

Miles will be doing anatomy practice and accidentally draw Gwen. Drawing a rando on the subway? He draws Gwen again.

They both confessed at the same time and then started sobbing after realizing it. They also confessed while hugging.

When it comes to jealousy, Gwen is much more obvious than Miles. She’s physical with it, like tensing up grabbing Miles’ wrist or arm. Miles is less obvious, but sometimes a person can tell by his tone or look. 

That’s all for now! 

Hobie and Miles would sing the male vocals in Glamorous (by Fergie) and Pavitr and Gwen would sing the female vocals. Convince me otherwise.

Hear me out on this fanfic idea....

What if...miles dad dies right....

Basically what I'm saying is, its jinx but swap it with miles...you know that scene where silco dies and jinx slowly gets up with that face expression (i forgitbwhat it was called lol(...and she walks to that chair that says jinx. That but miles just walks away he like turns into a villian. (The prowler), and like everyone is standing behind him but he's not listening he just walks away....yeah....just a thought....I was like

Dude I would totally read this if it was was on ao3 or wattpad....

Well, a storyboard has just been published where Gwen, at the beginning of ATSV, was going to see Miles' image, while she changed into her Peter at times, and I honestly don't know what the hell to think about this.

I mean, the first thing that crossed my mind is that, for Gwen, in this version of the storyboard, Miles is nothing more than a replacement for her Peter (Which in itself is contradictory because it is not known if Gwen even liked a little Peter), and if that were not enough, there was also the "Miguel calling" scene of the building where Gwen and Miles were originally going to say goodbye before he followed her to Pav's universe in a totally bitter way (And not exactly because of Miles).

Look, I trust that Lord and Miller are going to give us the most satisfying ending to the relationship between Gwen and Miles, but seeing as they have TOO MUCH to resolve in Beyond The Spider-Verse, along with this that was published, the thing in the next movie can turn out excellently well, or terribly badly, since they have to be very careful not to give the wrong message.

For example, I am one of those who thinks that in the BTSV epilogue, do not have Gwen go with Miles to her prom wearing the same outfit and at the same school, precisely for the same reason I just said. They can be much more creative and original than that, they can make them, for example, do a concert, or be at a meeting on the roof of Miles' house, etc.

Anyway, I want to know what you think, I really didn't like this and like the storyboard of "Miguel calling", it made me wonder what in the earth they were thinking when they did that scene.

Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, WE ALL NEED BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE, dude, if ATSV was perfect and revolutionary in every way, imagine how the last film in the trilogy will be.

Do you know why Spider-Verse Miles is my favorite Spider-Man?

He, without having a choice, had to do in two days, what took all the other Spider-Sonas in the multiverse weeks, become Spider-Man, all under the unimaginable pressure of being the successor to the previous Spider-Man of his universe, which left the bar too high, having to meet everyone else's expectations, and having to go through a tortuous journey while learning from his mentor.

Even when the spider-gang not only didn't trust him but even seemed to dislike Miles at first (Except, of course, Gwen and Peter B, who are very special cases)

And pressing him to see if he was ready and treating him like just a kid (Even Peni).

All so that he then went to his uncle, who was like a second father to him and someone who truly understood Miles, only to find out that he had always been a hitman, going so far as to almost end with the life of his nephew, until he realizes what he was about to do and... well, tragedy happens.

The death of Uncle Aaron, due to the depth and history behind it, remains the most tragic "death of Uncle Ben" in all of cinema... ever.

Miles stopped being the same since then, and even when a hurricane of emotions possessed him, he learned that no matter what, Spider-Man always gets up and keeps going, at the same time he learned to take his leap of faith. Before becoming Spider-Man he had a normal and happy life, but after being bitten by that spider his whole life fell apart, but of course, Miles is someone truly strong and full of determination thanks to the people close to him.

In two days, he surpassed almost the entire Spider-gang, and in a year and a half he become almost a professional as Spider-Man, even giving lessons to everyone else, and making it clear to Gwen and the others what truly means being Spider-Man, not standing by crossed arms while someone is in danger, but trying to do everything you can to save everyone, doing both things, even when it seems impossible, Spider-Man should always try, because everything it's possible.

At the same time that Miles felt stabbed in the back by the same people to whom he wanted to dedicate his entire future just to see them again since he felt alone and sad inside in the world without them, and, specially, without Gwen.

And let me remind something, Miles actually thinks she doesn't even love him and only sees him as a friend, but he still wants to see her

On the ATSV betrayal, he release all that hurricane of emotions that he had to swallow and accumulate inside during ITSV and during that entire year and a half for not having time for ALL those things said before, leading him to have anxiety and panic attacks (Something confirmed in the synopsis of the short "The Spider Within")

All so that they later reveal to him that he was a mistake, an anomaly, that he should never have been Spider-Man, that he killed the Peter of his universe, causing everything that gave MEANING to his life fell down in just a few minutes, leaving Miles more traumatized, mortified and with more trust issues than he already had before.

He really became one of the most tragic character of all the saga (Along with Peter B and, put it in some way, Miguel O' Hara)

And just because Miles looks with a cool and chill personality doesn't mean he's any less traumatized and mortified on the inside (An example is Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man).

Even though in the comics that nickname is only used because that is what his universe is called, in the movies, on the other hand, even though there are people on the internet who deny the fact that he is currently becoming an unstoppable phenomenon that is marking an entire generation and will mark future generations, Miles Morales proved to be, without a doubt, the Ultimate Spider-Man.

As a bonus, even though she always screwed up with everyone around her, both the living and the dead, Gwen showed that she really loves Miles and that he truly is the love of her life, however, needless to say, she has a lot of work to do in her redemption arc to be able to fix things with Miles, which will be very difficult but not impossible, even more so taking into account all the hate she received for everything that happened in ATSV.

Now she has to PROVE not only to him, but to all of us viewers, that she truly deserves to be with Miles, that they can have a life together by her own merit, and that all the hate towards her after the ATSV release it's truly unfair.

However, I have to be realistic, there are characters like Peni or even Peter B who should not be anything more than simple 'acquaintances' or 'partners' for Miles, since, with what they did, the term "Friend" It's too big for them.

In any case, Miles has the last word.

I genuinely feel like the lamest spider man in the whole damn spiderverse

What if Spot doesn't know that miles is just a kid, what if he finds out, and is horrified cause his spider bit a child, cue Spot trying to either get miles to stop being a hero, cause he's a child and could get hurt, or trying to adopt him, he did bring that spider into their dimension so spiderman is sorta his responsibility

I hope this happens, or something good comes of their relationship!! it would be so interesting to see their (friendship) dynamic! Thanks for the ask anon and sorry I didn't see this till now!<3
